not sure if your joking or not, I cant tell with you sometimes lol, called me girl one night and tried for ages to work it out and had to ask what you meant in the end 😁. Thomas Coopers first brew for his wife was an IPA and was simply named as Brew A, Ive got one to do tomorrow 500g DME, 1200g Dextrose, 150 maltodex and dry hop with 30g cascade, It was go to kit for a while but I felt it needed a bit help in the hop dept, are you sure yours wasnt oxidized , thanks for the video and 🍻
Many thanks for watching and commenting and most of the time I do tend to be a bit tongue in cheek (the sign out acronyms are a case in point 🤣). I hadn't done any research so all I had was what was on the can, what little I read of that 😉🤣. Brew "A" would make sense grammatically, but does lose it without the quotation marks when in writing 😉😎. I would be interested to know how your brew turns out but I've stopped pimping cheaper end kits as I've found the more "expensive" all malt kits tend to be cheaper and less faff than buying a cheap kit and pimping it up a bit. The advantage of barrelling (polypin if being picky 😉🤣) is that you don't have to worry about the "oxidisation" "problem". The beer is full of CO2 when it's finished fermenting and has a secondary fermentation in the barrel/ poly pin. That means your beer will keep in perfect condition for the life of the beer, providing that you top up with CO2, which, by CAMRA rules then makes it not a real ale 🙄, despite it serving the same and tasting the same. an overly long dry hop stage can, depending on the hops used, produce a very nasty flavour, which is basically unbalancing the beer with the hops which are only meant to add flavour, not be it. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.
I’m not to sure if I used this can before and added fruit to it at the end, label looks a newer type so not sure. After 10 pints all beers will taste good, then you said over a few days then and aged. I’ve brewed some with a cardboard small or a dog smell for some reason, I’ve got a wherry to brew I’ve got given OOD though . Change yeast.
Many thanks for watching and commenting and ten pints would have to be an all day steady session 🤣. Overly long dry hopping with some pellet hops does produce an overly dank smell and taste that can only be likened to wet cardboard (a bit too woody) or perhaps even wet dog as you suggest. Overly hopped beers are unbalanced and not overly nice (in my opinion of course 😉). Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.
