Can't believe my Sunday morning is spent refreshing my TH-cam app waiting for the new LRTime episode to arrive! Glad to say it doesn't disappoint! Thanks guys
Bloody brilliant. I still don't own a landrover, but I love your channel. A perfect blend of entertainment and engineering from two legends 👌 happy Sunday everyone
Its not a Sunday without hearing Vera say "oh shit " ( my wife thinks it the cutest thing )or learning nothing about fixing a Toyota. Keep up the great work you two. Take care and drive safe .
I am off to the Proms in London at the Royal Albert Hall. Now if I get bored at the proms I can close my eyes and reflect on todays lr, better than taking a book to read.
Good afternoon My name is Dmitry. I wanted to tell you that I am very glad to see you everywhere together, in the garage, in nature, and that you are running this TH-cam channel together, it's cool. 👍 Your family reminded me of spouses from the bible, their names were Akila and Priska, they also did everything together. 😊 I wish you success. P.S. I also love land rover🔥.
There is a top tip for the compressor mounting. Cut a horizontal slot on the top fixing hole so that you can slide in the compressor right to left, then the “horrible” top bolt only needs to be loosened a bit to remove the unit (and the two lower easy ones). This makes it much easier when the unit is installed with the plastic box in place. Love the videos, thanks.
Good morning from Canada. My LR3 is closing in on 300,000 km, and I must thank you both for helping me keep it on the road and for inspiring me not to just light it on fire when it breaks . . . again.
This build is super exciting! what we are seeing is what would have happened when vehicles were hand built & hand assembled - no robotics. 100% human input. Very nice.
No mechanic is complete without a cracked screen phone 😂 you would think something we are always looking at for pictures and videos while working would be in pristine condition😂
I too have a similar problem. Currently on 395k km and debating rebuilding or putting a New Engine from LR in. Knowing what we know on prolonging TDV6 engines from watching @lrtime Im leaning towards that. Christian is just too far to send him my engine for a rebuild.
Christian, most of us have problem to put together an IKEA bed...... {hahaha..) But, just watching your videos, I was able to replace on my LR3 the Air pump, Air tank, Middle Valve,... etc, And, I installed the back door ''emergency'' manual opener handle. Thank You guys. Vera, & Christian God Bless you and your love ones.. ,
I bought an 2015 HSE this past Monday 07/16/23 from Autonation but had to return it due to the amount of work required. It was really inexpensive. But now I am gutted from returning it. The prior owner also drilled holes into the dashboard for a $70.00 SiriusXM radio (smbh). Autonation, failed to properly inspect the vehicle prior to sale, check engine light was on before I got home (100 miles away). The colour combo (white/black) just what I have been searching for almost 10 months. Anyway, back to searching for another one, the ride quality in these is just an absolute gem and make my XJ feel a little pedestrian. This is the first channel on TH-cam I have ever return to watch.
Thanks for the response, you both make a great team. First channel I ever followed the way I do. You should create how to instructional and Rover manuals, tips and tricks for the company. I have learned much from your channel.
Christian,Vera that chassis looks like a work of art guys. 3 episodes for us but I dread to think about the number of hours you have put in. It looks fantastic ! 😊 When the body goes back on Vera needs to demand a full respray 😂
I still don’t own a Discovery or a Land Rover of any kind, but I absolutely love these videos and this couple. I learn so much from Christian and I lead so much from them for how to keep fun in their relationship and how to keep things light even in times of stress. This show should absolutely be syndicated because both of these people are stars. 🤩
ITS LR TIME😊😊😊 what a great video.such dedication to perfection.each week on this project gets better and better.a lucky lady vera.your discovery will be like new👍great content and a lot of hard work😊😊😊😊
I couldn’t agree more with @AW, this is a huge undertaking and you guys are handling it incredibly well from where I sit! If there are any negative comments then remember they are just frustrated restoration would be’s. Importantly, about half way through the video while using your ratchet, you can hear it talking to you, it’s saying, “ahh, this is just what I was made for, doing up new bolts and nuts on a restored component”, as it’s making a completely different tone while your using it, it’s a happy sound ✔️Absolutely love the video’s ❤️🇦🇺
I own both a 2012 Disco 4 3.0SD with 170k miles and a 2011 RR Sport 3.0TD with 70k miles and they are thoroughly and preventatively maintained. They're both brilliant. Great channel, thoroughly enjoyable. Keep it up
Nice to see you are painting the nuts and bolts once they are in it make it look so much better than aload odold dirty bits on your nicely painted chassis
This couple makes you want a land rover. They should get some special award, or royalties from land rover. You know, KTM has the same relationship with Yamaha, as land rover have with Toyota. I know their schedule is full, maybe they can do a similar program on the KTM 890 adventure. Mechanically it is much simpler than a discovery, though. Well, maybe a consideration for a future project.
Hello from New Zealand 🇳🇿 love your channel so informative and entertaining. Also love the Toyota comments haha brilliant looking forward to the next episode 👍
Vera & Christian are the best D.I.Y. Mechanics around he will tackle anything what is your work background ??? thanks guys brilliant as always. That wiring harness is scary
Another very satisfying Sunday morning coffee . You two give a whole new perspective to the term Shade tree mechanic you even have a tree. Your simply the best at what is for me sunday morning entertainment stay safe. Happy Trails.
Without hesitation, it can be said that this will be the most polished LR. Congratulations on your beautiful work, calmness and determination. All the best for You 🙂
Wow , so much more fun when the body is off! What a terrible place the fuel filter . Always terrific work . Best teamwork from any couple . Great thanks!
Nice Sunday treat for me to get an LR time video. I have just rebuilt my golf’s brakes due to corrosion this is not a problem in Australia. I’ve fitted Toyota pads (I drive a golf) so I’ll never have to replace them again now. True genius.
Looks like you're making good progress on the 'learner' rebuild. Obviously to cater for the right hand drive market, you need to do another rebuild with a full comparison of differences. Luckily for you my daughter (18) is willing to let you have her 2008 right hand drive D3. Let me know when you want her to bring it over. 👍😅
Christian it’s bloody amazing how you’re putting Vera’s LR back together with some really funny puns lol 😆 Vera seems a lot happier today with how’s it’s going back together 🤩 xx 🏴
Great video again. Just finished rebuilding the front right hand window winder mechanism on my Discovery 5. Four years old and the cables corroded and broken. Halfords bike stainless brake cables for £3.00, better than ~£100.00 for a new mechanism. Fiddly job .Wouldn't have tried until viewing you and thought if you can do all that, I must try my small repair.
I love the way you two work or rather Tristian does so much information and Vera telling you all the torque settings which save the book from getting dirty and i wonder how much this is costing you and that's a nice joint splitter and i will be having Bob Dylan's knocking on Heavens door at my funeral as i am a bid Dylan fan ,thanks for the video
If half the couples out there were like Vera and Christian, the world would be a better place.
Sunday morning, filter coffee, Land Rover Time. Amen to Christian who leads our worship 😂
German humor is no laughing matter! 🙂
This is a true labor of love understanding and devotion to your spouse Vera is a lucky lady to have this chump I mean guy.
Its not a Sunday without hearing Vera say "oh shit " ( my wife thinks it the cutest thing )or learning nothing about fixing a Toyota. Keep up the great work you two. Take care and drive safe .
It's funny. I've spent much time fettling Discoveries but have never even been in a Toyota.
A couple working together so well, I love your videos and I haven’t even got a Land Rover
Dear Christian, I am sure you know this but Vera is a real gem!
I am off to the Proms in London at the Royal Albert Hall.
Now if I get bored at the proms I can close my eyes and reflect on todays lr, better than taking a book to read.
"Remember. Land Rover recommends 5WDumbass." 🤣🤣🤣
That sounded like Red Foreman from That '70s Show 🤣.
I just love you two 😂 ❤ 😂 ❤ you could be doing almost anything and it would be the same, brilliant 🤩
When you want to binge watch the build, but have to wait! I think you guys need to test that build in the deserts of Australia
After that brilliant work, this vehicle is ready to stay alive for more than 20 years. Congratulations.
You make it look so easy! Clearly a lot of hard work, but fascinating to see what it takes to build and repair these vehicles.
"Heisenberg experiment" just love it!❤

Same here, constant thought. But then the love hits again ...
Not a Toyota lol
vera’s discovery will be better than when it was new
Those tie rods would drive me nuts 😂, Truly wonderful job
sway-bar end links actually. tie rods connect to the steering rack.
Same here. Everything is refreshed and those look tired. But... I do the same thing on my Range Rover Classic.
Best Toyota videos on the internet.
I better get started on a rebuild on my 2008 TDV6 with 340k Km but it just doesn’t want to stop 👍 Awesome work, thank you

,
You two are great. Husband and wife doing complex mechanical work and engineering and still getting along.
I can imagine Vera slipping out to paint the drop links. No matter how new, I'd have to do the same after all that effort 😁

Just remember, any cheap Discovery 4 probaly has massive maintenance backlog. 🙋♀️
Thanks for the response, you both make a great team. First channel I ever followed the way I do. You should create how to instructional and Rover manuals, tips and tricks for the company. I have learned much from your channel.
Jestem w posiadaniu takiego cuda LAND ROVERA,moim marzeniem jest taki remont podziwiam was za profesjonalizm brawo👍
Christian,Vera that chassis looks like a work of art guys. 3 episodes for us but I dread to think about the number of hours you have put in. It looks fantastic ! 😊 When the body goes back on Vera needs to demand a full respray 😂
Thanks for another fabulous show guys. It’s always fun to watch you and Christian interacting. 👍😉🇦🇺
OK cheechee
ASALAMALEIKUM good people from Kosoves.Youare doing great work.Allah will bless you.ELHAMDULLILAH.
Surely now is the opportunity to turn the steering rack around so your steering wheel ends up on the right side 😂
I still don’t own a Discovery or a Land Rover of any kind, but I absolutely love these videos and this couple. I learn so much from Christian and I lead so much from them for how to keep fun in their relationship and how to keep things light even in times of stress. What you are doing with that Discovery is so satisfying )))
Sold my TD5 a decade ago, Im with you guys for life 🙂
ITS LR TIME😊😊😊 what a great video.such dedication to perfection.each week on this project gets better and better.a lucky lady vera.your discovery will be like new👍great content and a lot of hard work😊😊😊😊
for sure now you have the best LR3... in many many countries.... you make it look so easy.....
Love these mad people! They own and fix LR products so I don't have to.
Keep up all the hard work that these videos must take.....very entertaining.
I couldn’t agree more with @AW, this is a huge undertaking and you guys are handling it incredibly well from where I sit! You are both wonderfully mad!! Great video - Thank you.
Vielen Dank, dass Sie das alles auf Englisch gemacht haben.
Es ist ein schöner Kanal.
Ich weiß immer noch nichts über Land Rover.
Thanks
Thank you🙏🙋♀️

Thank you guys ✔️
Very nice Christian and Vera.

I am in awe of how much work you put into that frame. Vera you are so right about taking pictures, take a lot of pictures, then take some more!!
Hello from New Zealand 🇳🇿 love your channel so informative and entertaining. Also love the Toyota comments haha brilliant looking forward to the next episode 👍
Again an amazing show for us. that car is going to last another 20 years, better than original.
I wanted to but Discovery 3 but now I know i can nor afford nor be able to fix it myself. Great content and great mechanical skills.
Fantastic video,thank you Christiaan&Vera!
Hvl.

OMG the effort you guys are still going to!
I'm with Vera take photo's when working on cars,it will save time.Just ask me😂😂
How one guy can figure out where every nut and bolt goes back, without going nuts himself, is truly amazing.
Wow , so much more fun when the body is off! What a terrible place the fuel filter . Always terrific work . Best teamwork from any couple . Great thanks!
Brilliant you two are so funny together
Nice Sunday treat for me to get an LR time video. I have just rebuilt my golf’s brakes due to corrosion this is not a problem in Australia. I’ve fitted Toyota pads (I drive a golf) so I’ll never have to replace them again now. True genius.

Wonderful Sunday morning viewing! I bet Christian is looking forward to a fault-free first start up 😬
Cool hat, Robin! Essential stuff, silicone dielectric grease!

Wonderful day brilliant! You guys make restoration look easy , Sundays are always the best waiting for next episode luv it cheers
Coming together nicely now look great 👍 I am sure Vera will have managed to get you to paint the tie rods before the body goes on 😂
Bei dem Wetter, lässt es sich super im freien arbeiten. Er sieht aus wie neu. Tolle Arbeit.
Can not wait for another episode, well done
Inspirational, as ever!
Christian it’s bloody amazing how you’re putting Vera’s LR back together with some really funny puns lol 😆 Vera seems a lot happier today with how’s it’s going back together 🤩 xx 🏴
Great work it will all be worth it when it’s done
Excellent video thank you.
Can't believe you never painted the old tie rods 🤣👍
Thanks so much for this Body Off series. I'm very envious of this super clean chassis.
Great fun guys. ❤❤
19:20. yes, they have! I have a set of 72 position ratchet wrenches.
Great video again. Just finished rebuilding the front right hand window winder mechanism on my Discovery 5. Four years old and the cables corroded and broken. Fiddly job .Wouldn't have tried until viewing you and thought if you can do all that, I must try my small repair.
Thats shocking after only 4 years.
Amazing job 👌
I
I’m sure it’s done better than in the plant! Love the result 👍😀
I really love to watch your video❤❤❤
Btw you do get ratcheting open end wrenches 😂 many companies make them now.
Disco is looking fantastic.
Fantastic video and what a difference doing this with the body off versus body on
Love watching the rebuild! Doing a great job! AND I'm no longer a land rover sinner I have a diagnostic tool! 😂
Loving my Sunday evenings. Looking forward to you guys. Smashing it.. bloody great work. Cheers from Australia.. awesome work
