rather than having that length of RHS between springs and chassis, you should have it between the chassis and tray. IMO its better than having a dog leg in the draw bar. i have built them both ways.
Yeah I have. I’ve tried alloy wire in two different mig welders and all the welds look like bird poo no matter what settings I used so I stuck with TIG welding it. To weld 6mm alloy I think I’d need one of those 500a double pulse migs
@@Kenny_B mate jump on and have a look at the magnum welders, I’m a ally fabricator and predominately do tig but I have a magnum pulse welder and it cracks for a little welder, good duty cycle and single phase 👌🏼
I’ve had it once with a dual axle work trailer but it also had an 8kva generator on the drawbar but as soon as we levelled it on the hitch the issue went away.. we also had brake issues too and changed to a red arc tow pro so maybe you’re right 👍🏼
@@Kenny_B might be the case if all the weight was on the draw bar and it's close to maxed out at an angle. But you have to spend time getting the brakes adjusted correctly.

I don't think it can add weight to the front axle, they are load sharing. The front axle gets hot because of the brakes.

What do y do for actual work welder by trade or engineer ?
Nah mate. Neither. Originally a fitter & turner but been in management jobs for the last 10 years. This is just my hobby stuff 👍🏼
