Essential video for me. Have been flying on Xbox Cloud for 4 weeks now and cannot work out how to activate the drone view. Now I know why… there is no key binding by default 😂. Happy days. Thankyou.

Thanks James. A very useful video for those of us who now have more advanced flight controllers, and practically only use the Xbox controller for operating the drone camera. Your settings are much easier to remember and use than the default multi-button ones. The advice about removing the non-camera bindings was also very helpful, as it was easy to accidentally move the plane controls.

Thanks. I thought that I would create this video to compliment my other controller setup videos.

I've been flying MSFS since it came out and I have never really understood the various cameras and their controls. I bought an xbox controller yesterday for view control; your tutorial really helped and now the controller is doing exactly what I want it to for drone camera mode. Thanks!

This is a massively helpful video. The drone can be a wonderful tool, but not as it's configured by default. James simplifies the setup enormously.

Great video. I have some bindings already set for a personal profile, but there was a couple of new things in learned in this tutorial especially locating the plane again. This is will come in very handy, thanks again James.

This is magnificent. I'm late to the party as it only occurred to me to try drone-work today. Happy Christmas, Huddison, and thank you.

I have a new Xbox controller that will come in use now for drone camera. I used it mostly for other games on PC but now it will be even more useful together with my Velocity flightstick. The flightstick were bout after your rekommendations and it is just great. Thanks James!

I'm no stranger to flight sims but only just got FS2020 and I absolutley hate the camera system in this sim - it doesn't help that they haven't opened up the Camera API for third party developers like Paralell42 who created Chaseplane. Your video on using the xbox controller for drone setup made my pain slightly less so thank you, great vid!

That's appreciated thanks. The default camera system took a step backwards in MSFS in many of our opinions.

Yo great tutorial man! I did add a few other handy bindings myself that i use to record landings from the runway or tower view. TOGGLE DRONE LOCK MODE (drone points towards the airplane) TOGGLE DRONE FOLLOW MODE (drone stays at one place for example the runway) with those 2 enabled it's really easy to get cool views from the runway or wherever you want. i also assigned 2 buttons for zooming in and out. Happy flying!

Thanks for that. I don't have an x-box, but I do have an x-box controller for the drone camera and your set-up is perfect.
