    In the EU, a large part of the engineering schools give various courses. Most chemical engineers from the EU have global knowledge in chemistry (analytical, organic, inorganic, electro...), management skills, company strategy planning skills and chemical engineering skills (from conceptualizing the formulation to the industrial production scale, with scale-up methods between the two). I find it strange to separate the "chemist" and the "engineer" parts in two different branchs. It is maybe because the term "engineer" has a slightly different meaning in other languages than english.

      True, some engineers have very solid background in chemistry, but overall, the task of the ChemE is not towards chemistry but to process design, operation, implementation, control, maintenance, etc.... Truly its very different type of job

    I finished chemical engineering.....some company offering chemist job. can i join as a chemist....is it worth it?

      Yes you can, it really depends on your taste... regarding worth it, you just need to compare with other engineering roles $$

      En general, el ingeniero ... Pero depende de industria + aplicaciones + habilidades

    If I select chemical and process engineering can I study green technology
    (Does chemical and process engineering degree help to study about green technology than a material engineering degree)

      Sure they can! Either directly or you can further specialize with an environmental MSc

    For quite sometime I’ve wanted to be a chemist since I love chemistry and wanted to do research and contribute to society that way. I wanted to go into geo or environmental chemistry and with my research help solve problems. Looking at the pay is really discouraging though. Even PhDs don’t seem to get paid as much as they should. Should I just say screw it and go into Chemical Engineering? I know that it’s not really chemistry focused but it seems to be the closest thing for a much better pay. I don’t really like a lot of math but ig I’ll just learn as I go. Machinery never interested me though so I really don’t know at this point. Maybe I’ll just give up my life dreams and just become a doctor or lawyer lmfao 🤣

      Well.. I dont think it will be a good fit for you... although you can always study a master degree in materials...

      @@ChemicalEngineeringGuy Turns out I actually kind of like chemical engineering. Didn’t know there was a degree where you could do almost anything! Do you have any videos on Carbon Capture? Would love to learn more.

      sure, but I would recommend going for a Master degree in Chemical Engineering or related field rather than having 2 bachelor degrees

    • @ChemicalEngineeringGuy
      @ChemicalEngineeringGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mmh... yeah, engineering is all about production, i.e. $/kg so the more we consume, the more we need to produce in a a chepaer way, so we will be always required XD
