The one that actually has drywall attached to it is legit, but only if it had a net patch(instead the terrible americana paper) and you put in a plank or two, that are longer than the hole. You use drywall screws to secure the planks to the wall, patch to the planks, then mud over it. Should be sturdy, that said the metal net patch isn't bad at all for small holes.

On the first two patches with the eviction notice and the drywall circle with paper tape edge you should have put a solid coat of the mud under the paper for best results and bonding

The reoccurring humor in all this is that the customer is usually proud of their work and thinks it looks pretty good.
lol - @3:25 How many people saw that coming? 🤣🤣 For smaller holes, I found that the spray-foam in a can works very well to fill a hole. You can not go too big, but you can fill a lot with the foam. Those patches are good because you can cut them to fit your size hole.
Pro advice on holes in the wall: What he's doing is fine, but instead of paper, take a bit of tape (doesn't really matter what kind of tape) and wad it up, then plug it in the hole to make an anchor point. Let it dry over 4-5 hours, sometimes a little longer if your area is really humid or cold, and then paint it to match. These kinds of jobs I can't trust shortcuts on, but it definitely doesn't have to require an architect to do.

Rent control prevented the management company from raising the rent to "current market value" so they found a reason to evict him so they can find a new tenant to financially destroy. They can't say that of course, but per the eviction notice you can read when he's plastering it to the wall, his mom allegedly caused a flood at the facility with bathroom shenanigans, her excessive wieght caused cracks in the concrete floor and the facility now needs to be remodeled, when she moves around she causes localized earthquakes which geologists theorize may lead to the island sinking. Because of the multiple issues, and the extensive damage his mom is causing to the facility they have justifiable cause to evict effective immediately.

Also the presto patch is basically how I learned how to patch drywall. . . . Kinda. . . . Take a scrap or drywall several inches bigger than the hole and remove the plaster from about 2 inch border and cut the hole in the wall to be the same size. Apply joint compound around the hole and press the patch in place then add more joint compound on top to smooth. For larger holes place a short piece of 1x2 a behind the drywall and attach to the wall with drywall screws again spread joint compound around the edge and place the patch screwing it into the 1x2 and finishing with more joint compound.
Tyler you know damn well that pink stuff wasn't gonna work. lol Bandage patch would be great for small ceiling repairs but id put a bead of liquid nails along the edge of the circle inside the paper before putting it in forever. The foam I thought at first was just ridiculous, but The damage test and sanding impressed me. That was fun to watch! Thanks mydude!! I'm sticking with just joint compound and a sheet of drywall and screws though because I already have that stuff.
You can make your own patches by taking a piece of drywall a few inches bigger than the hole and remove the paper and gypsum from the back to the size of the hole leaving the paper on the front about 3 or 4 inches bigger than the hole. Put a thin coat of glue on the paper to stick it to the wall. When this is dry mud over it lightly and sand feathering the edges. Small holes just use bedding tape, mud, and sand. larger holes, cut existing drywall back to middle of stud, cut drywall to fit, then bed like a full sheet.
