I`ve noticed lately that there seems to be a tendency to traditionaly symphonic metal bands to drift away more or less from old style. See Nightwish`s Yesterwinde, for instance.

WOW!!! THIS is what I love seeing bands do, come back from total implosion, relocation, reinvention and re-emerge like a phoenix from their own ashes! The darker vibe of the growly vocals actually works impressively well in this context. If this is the new musical direction for this band, I wholeheartedly approve! I much prefer the clean vocal style, which she does beautifully in this song, but the extreme edge definitely helps in places. Hopefully we won't have to wait to terribly much longer for MORE Imperial Age music! It's been a long while since A New World graced our ears.

I personally love this song. I am a fan of your older stuff, but I had always wished it was a bit heavier (it's just what I'm more into), so this definitely hits home with me. Probably my favorite song from you all so far. I love Jane's growls in this. I always love bands that mix harsh and clean vocals, especially when it's male and female (like Epica, for example), so I love this. I can't wait to hear you guys continue to evolve and get even better.

I love the inclusion of heavier sounds. However, I would like more variation in the drumming. Maybe you could contrast the new elements you are using with slow more symphonic sections like your old material using both in the same song?

В данной композиции, на мой взгляд, уже нет той академической изюминки и становится больше мейнстрима, ощущение что это больше презентация навыков новых участников - мол, смотрите как мы теперь умеем.
