Lita and Ozzy. When the critics first heard they were doing this song there was a lot of naysayers, when it came out they were eating crow. One of the best power ballads of all time. Hands down.

Lita said in an interview that she tried to squeeze as many guitars as possible into this video because nobody took her as being a serious guitar player and didn't think she was playing her own instruments. She absolutely rocks it. So does Ozzy of course. Great reaction!! 🙂

Then she got called the first lady of metal, after which she followed Samantha Fox by making a bunch of risque door posters and lost that ground.

Love Lita. Got to see her live at a charity concert at the Ramstein Air Force base. They were raising money for the victims of the airshow crash and few weeks earlier. Her band was great and she was fantastic. She was in Germany opening for Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi played about 4 songs but then informed the audience that if they showed up at his regular show with the ticket from the charity they would be admitted to the concert free of charge. Thought it was a nice surprise on his part.

Ozzy is a hero of mine. I first heard him in 1975 with Black Sabbath, I have all his Black Sabbath albums, solo albums and 12 inch singles too. I have a limited edition signed 12 inch single too, plus a 7 inch single that could only be bought in Donington where he played live.
They don`t block Black Sabbath stuff, there are ballads there too. Changes is a great song.

In this episode of Brad & Lex, the lyrics to the song seem paramount as Brad and Lex seem to analyze the words and meaning but once drums are introduced, Brad's signature side to side sway slightly increases as the movement of Lex's Couch Gang logo becomes a part of her "intrigue bop".

Damn good song! One of the best Power Ballad duo’s you’ll ever hear. This one is for that person who has been in a love where you knew in your soul that person was the one you were meant to be with. The relationship goes really deep, and somewhere along the line, trust gets broken so badly that you can no longer be with that person. The loss of that person in your life puts you into a serious situational depression where you no longer want to be here. It’s a super dark place.

Lita Rossana Ford (born 19 September 1958) is an English-born guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. She was the lead guitarist for the all-female rock band the Runaways in the late 1970s, and then embarked on a successful glam metal solo career that hit its peak in the late 1980s. The 1989 single "Close My Eyes Forever", a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, remains Ford's most successful song, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Oddly the song was never played live with the two together. The one time the song played live on TV the person playing Ozzy was an impostor.
The members of the Runaways: Lead singer Cherie Currie, bassist Jackie Fox, Vocalist/guitarist Joan Jett, Lita Ford and drummer Sandy West. In 2010, a major Hollywood motion picture chronicling the career of Ford's first band, The Runaways, was produced. Ford was portrayed by actress Scout Taylor-Compton in the movie, entitled The Runaways. Lyrics below:
    Baby
I get so scared inside, and I don't really understand
Is it love that's on my mind, or is it fantasy?
    Heaven
Is in the palm of my hand, and it's waiting here for you
What am I supposed to do with a childhood tragedy?
If I close my eyes forever
    Will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same?
    Sometimes
    It's hard to hold on
So hard to hold on to my dreams
It isn't always what it seems
When you're face to face with me
    You're like a dagger
And stick me in the heart
And taste the blood from my blade
And when we sleep, would you shelter me
In your warm and darkened grave?
If I close my eyes forever
    Will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same?
    Will you ever take me?
No, I just can't take the pain
But would you ever trust me?
No, I'll never feel the same, oh
I know I've been so hard on you
I know I've told you lies
If I could have just one more wish
I'd wipe the cobwebs from my eyes
If I close my eyes forever
    Will it all remain unchanged?
If I close my eyes forever
Will it all remain the same?
    Close your eyes
    Close your eyes
You gotta close your eyes for me

This song was written on a night that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne stopped by Lita's new house with a house warming gift. Sharon ended up going shopping and Ozzy stayed behind with Lita. Conversation turned to Ozzy and Sharon's relationship and the recent problems they were having. This song is some of what went on in the conversation and Ozzy's feelings at the time, and helped heal a portion of what their life was going through at that time.

Dude, the odd thing is. I woke up with the name of this song in my head. Idk why , it was soooo random. And when I searched reactions to this song, yall posted it a few days ago. God rest Ozzy's Soul, his health isnt going to well. But this is one of my favorite songs he took part in.

I’ve only heard of one time of Lita & Ozzy performing this song live. Lita performs it all the time with other male singers

There is a video with Lita and Ozzy at a bar doing this song. It's an old video but back then it sounded good.

Mama I'm coming home is my favorite ozzy song. Road to nowhere and Time after time are slower songs by ozzy that are my favorites. Lita was one of my favorite female artists.

Lita Ford was tagged as the hardest working lady in metal buy all her pears. This lady amazed me in the Runaways but even more with her solo career. Watching her rip up the guitar with long fingernails blew me away. I am 60 and still can not play as well as her with no fingernails. It is your upload. Great video.

Lita Ford was married to Chris Holmes from the band Wasp at this time!
She was a supra star back then! A true talent!
