      There’s no “board” exam for Nigerian trained medical student i.e. if you are from any part of the world and schooled in UI med school for instance once you pass your part IV, you are awarded MBBS and a temporary license to practice (start House jobs) ... The “board” exam is for foreign trained only so if you are from anywhere in world with a foreign medical degree including Nigerians themselves you need to write the “board” exam. I think with the above stated, The Philippines should not request any reciprocity letter for any Nigerian schooled in any Philippines med school to take part in their board exam

    • @adiimimi
      @adiimimi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waleomosanya9140 Yes Nigerian medical students do not write board exams. I guess the reprocity is more like an official letter stating so.

    • @waleomosanya9140
      @waleomosanya9140 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adiimimi Mentioning UI - University of Ibadan - was just as a reference to all med school eg UNN, Unilag etc in Nigeria.
      Well as for reciprocity letter, I don’t know how/where one would get a letter that doesn’t exit in our (Nigeria) context, would it be issued by Nigerian Medical Association or MDCAN or one of the Medical Schools or the Nigerian embassy in the Philippines but I think if the Nigerian embassy in the Philippines would/should be up to its task they should be able to write such letter explaining my first submission to the Philippines government because I think part of their job in the Philippines is to protect the Nigeria interest over there which includes her citizens.
      Finally, I urge us to alway state things how it is, for instance with admission into medical school in Nigeria - it is not as difficult as we sometimes put it, it just that the information to solve some of the technicalities is not somewhat ready available to us all, do you know with a good A-level grade/ first class or 2:1 in your biochemistry bachelor’s degree you could have also got a direct entry to study MBBS, I don’t know of UNN where you finished but for sure in UI, Unilag and most med school if not all in southwest of Nigeria ? Or in the case of one of your videos where you mentioned that you were refused US visa twice, did you present a case convincing enough to the consular ?
      Please don’t see some of my above stated as a slight on you but rather as someone making some clarifications.
      Well done my sister, you are doing a good job
      By the way, I am also “in” Philippines right now.

    • @adiimimi
      @adiimimi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waleomosanya9140 Thanks for your feedback. However, fact still remains that getting admission into a medical school in Nigeria is difficult for most people on the average. Students end up studying courses they have no business with studying. Also the system doesn’t favor some students. Have you also heard of the quota where they tend to fail students because they are expected to graduate a certain number? There are things that need not to be sugar coated. It’s difficult to get into a Government owned medical school on the average. If it wasn’t true, I won’t be saying it on my channel. “I state things as it is”…
      If you were opportuned or know someone who got into medical school easily in Nigeria, then that’s a mere fraction of the actual number that applied for medicine.
      Regarding my visa. I had all my documents with me and everything I needed to convince the Visa officer and even when I felt it wasn’t adequate enough, I had supporting documents for my second interview.
      That’s not a problem as I am certain God doesn’t want me to be in the US at that point in time.
      Finally, regarding the reprocity letter, I do not work with the Nigerian Government to know how that can be obtained.
      Thanks for watching.

    • @waleomosanya9140
      @waleomosanya9140 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adiimimi Of course, I know you don’t work with the Nigerian government, I already provided what I think is a possible way out of getting the reciprocity letter which those who would watch the video and like to try the Philippines board exam but has such hindrance could opt for but I am afraid you were more interested to state your defence in your response than get the information of how the letter could obtained .
      Most Federal government owned med school in Nigeria cost less than 200 usd per year school fees - to the best of my knowledge no Tuition fee is charged in Nigerian University except if things have changed, while most stated owned charge less than 500 usd for non-indigenes, do you suppose such schools should ready available for average student going by the number of intending applicants ?
      Please don’t misunderstand, I am not satisfied with a lot of things in my country Nigeria, I think with the Calibre of highly cerebral Human Resources we are endowed with, we should get more. For instance, I don’t think the study of Medicine should only be for the so called “super” intelligent as is the case at the moment and a brother who’s now a consultant surgeon in Nigeria as corroborated this too ... If there’s an availability of student loan option as is the case in the US/Canada for example, I think, any intending applicants who will not get a space in the cheap ones could go to the private ones on such loans
      Sorry, I don’t know how to reach you privately that’s why I am stating it here.The US visa denial video, I think should have had another title like “How God led me to Philippines”.

    First I would like to thank her (Dr. Christiana) for volunteering as a frontliner when the covid situation was at its peak. We appreaciate it very much. 2nd, she knows the local language. Knowing, understanding and speaking the local language will open a lot of things. It will break the barrier, your eyes will be open to a lot of things that only the locals know and you will understand more a lot of things that you thought you understood already. The best and dangerous thing about it - is you're going to fall in love more. The Cebuanos are one of the nicest and sweetest people in the Philippines. One is very lucky to have stayed and lived there in Cebu.

    Dr. Cristiana is an example of a person who is able to learn so many things easily because of her personality. She's gregarious and is always willing to be in company with other people. Because the only way to learn new things in a faster way is to be in company with other people. You don't need to talk to them, just observe them how they act, how they speak, their mannerisms. Cristiana is indeed a picture of an intelligent person who easily adapts to a new environment and live it. That's a sign of high intelligence. Talk about Darwin's theory of natural selection. It is clearly manifested in Dr. Cristiana's personality.

    Just in. Cebu Institute of Medicine graduate topped the licensure exam tying the number 1 spot with a graduate from Western Visayas State University in Iloilo. Another CIM graduate garnered the 7th spot. There were 76 CIM graduates who took the September 2021 Physician's licensure exam but one failed, resulting to the school's average passing rate of 98.68%, a rare occasion for CIM not to achieve a 100% passing rate. Another Cebu-based medical school, University of Cebu College of Medicine Foundation, aced with 100% passing rate with all 32 takers passed, its second batch of Medical student graduates. They also got a 100% passing rate during its first batch of Medicine graduates last year.

    The big advantage for Medical students (local or foreign) studying in Cebu is that Cebu has lots of big hospitals spread throughout the island where they can do their internship. In Metro Cebu area alone, there are 9 Level 3 hospitals, 13 Level 2 hospitals and more than 20 Level 1 hospitals (mostly Province-owned) spread all across rural towns and cities. In other provinces and cities (excluding Metro Manila) hospitals are not that many. You have very few options or none at all.

      Maybe because Cebu Institute of Medicine only accepts applicants to its Medicine program with above average intelligence. The school's consistent 100% passing rate every year's licensure exam speaks for itself. Other schools have lower passing rate because they are liberal enough to accept students from wide-ranging academic background.
