Hi All. I bought my daughter a 2013 SmartCar FourTwo Passion. She rear ended a car going 12 mph and "totalled" the car. This is not something I would have expected from a Mercedes-Benz. The car is crap and I believe very unsafe. My daughter hurt her knees and her head but was not hospitalized. I contacted Mercedes Customer Support and it was virtually non existent. I will never buy anything from Mercedes again. Awful unsafe car from a company that does not care about its customers! Very disappointing. DO NOT BUY!
All Smarts have that smart tridion safety cell! Although many will be damaged because of the impact/crush-zone, the smart tridion safety cell should be stayed intact. Otherwise it could been a bit faster as 12mph? Ofcourse the insurance companies often declare a care financially totalled.
