Stop Believing in Stories

What if you stopped believing in the stories you tell yourself about yourself? What about stories you tell yourself about others? About the world? Can you see where I'm going here? We say "if we forget history, we're doomed to repeat it". But if we repeat these stories over and over and over, we seem to wrap our psyche up in them, re-traumatize ourselves and, voila, we repeat the same behaviors and restrict the infinite and boundless choices we have to change our lives and, eventually, the world we live in.
