with my experience: yes u have a chance to get trichy.vlsi ......but see my friend iit ropar is best for vlsi than any other nit . ....yes i'm right .....NIRF rankings and all will only be considered for civ, mec , electr branch specializations but whereas for vlsi,computer science specializations even 2nd generation iits like indore, patna, ropar ,gandhinagar have very good placement which u can't even imagine and u may have fear and heard some gossips that new iits wont have placements but they are wrong because they are talking about other specializations ...but for vlsi no one will tell specifically ...even in new iit bhilai is 100 % placement in vlsi with avg 15lpa ....... so just go for iit ropar ..thanks

So fill choices wisely for spot round . Normal round seat will be retained until you get something in spot round.
