- During the Summer Showcase, Season 3 of The Finals was shown, and in it, brand new weapons accompanied a new ranked mode. I personally thought it looked great, and upon playing it I had an amazing time. But some of the fans are upset about the ranked mode being changed, as the original mode was so creative.

i understand why people are super mad about the new ranked mode but personally i think the world tour gamemode is a lot more fun to play because i dont have to worry about de-ranking so i can only improve my skills and wont get stuck in a specific rank
ye but the problem is that no one wants to grind terminal for ruby there is no ruby or diamond for world tour, that and world tour doesnt have that same competitive feeling as high ranked cashout had. instead of them fixing cashout they replaced it, that was NOT the play

@@ninj_eidk if you noticed that inside the world tour menu there’s an option that just says “THE FINALS (coming soon)” which I’m sure it’ll be a rework of ranked cash out

they are fixing it right now, embark believes it wasn’t performing well as a competitive mode. So they put terminal in to be something a bit more accustomed for a competitive experience while they tune up cash out since it isn’t a competitive mode those changes they test won’t piss people off if they go wrong.

I get the people who are mad about ranked. But cashout is still the main focus. The only thing different about world tour is that you can't rank down.
Have you played multiversus? It’s basically the top dog challenge but for the finals 😭 but I like it, keep cash out as a semi comp mode and terminal attack takes the spotlight this season
The only gamemode new players can play is Terminal Attack. And they has to play 5 MATHCES in order to unlock every other gamemode.
The finals and cashout is chaos and fun. But all the new players can experience for some reason is "tactical" perma-death mode.

I played so much ranked in Season 2, I loved it to death and honestly ranked TA has been really fun too. I was very hesitant but the game really is just so fun as is that it hasn't mattered too much, even with the differences between the two modes. I love this game 😄
I don't like terminal attack because it's not a true attack in defend Game mode, Cause as soon as the team puts an encryption key in then it kind of flips to defend an because, Team fortress 2 and overwatch that's attacking defend

The destruction is possible because of the talent from the old (good) Battlefield games. Sure, unreal engine looks good but that destruction tech isn't something that any developer can run with using the engine.
I only say that because you said every game is applying this tech, most developers can only make little bits destructible, these devs let you level the map.
Embark is a team compiled of masters of their class, and it shows.

that is a perfectly good stance. taking risks is what we need. Though the common consensus right now is that this was a move meant to be super low risk as this mode is just a copy paste of many popular game. S&D is about the most common mode besides TDM in gaming.

My only problem with TA ranked is that feels very long and like you’re just stuck in that game mode + map maybe if it was best out of 5 it would be better
They took cashout out of ranked to do e rework. The devs made a Statement about it. And you can still play it in world tour which is a mode to earn real life money currency
How does earning real life $$ from world tour work? Is it a tourney thing at the end or what?
@@3eeexton its a tournament with bronze to gold rank where you get more credits with each rank based on your total cashouts, personal performance and wins. Theres a global leaderbord too with your GT and everything up to 50 pages shown. Pretty cool in my opinion. Just take a look brother

The reason I despise the new ranked system is because I had to worry about 2 teammates and now I have to worry about 4 and I can’t fix their mistakes by reviving them.

Calling it the crumbling cookie is a huge understimation, its not some checkmark that developers check to implement into the "new games" its posible because the devs have a shit ton of experience with BF.

From what I saw in the dev documentary about the game, the destruction and structural crumbling of buildings was built from the ground up because it is server side destruction.
It’s good that they changed the mode , at first I thought it is bad now I feel something different. But I personally think terminal attack is not that much of a creative thing, I hope instead a new mode will come…

I seen a lot of people saying that changing to terminal attack ruined the game but it's still good and feels more like counter-strike style
TA is shit, cashout is way more fun and competitive
@@VeniTsVAmen! (Season 1, Diamond 1 & Season 2, Diamond 4 player here). Cashout is what made the finals unique. If terminal attack is left as the main ranked mode, it will ruin this game and its competitive side. No one wants to play TA against cheaters. Who likes being dead for 80% of a round, for best of 13 rounds the whole time because enemy cheaters are using aim bot + wall hacks. It sucked fighting them on cash out but at least you respawned…
"Counter strike style" IS the problem.(I know cashout is still the focus) but TA abandons everything that made The finals, THE FINALS.

I think the whole update is an improvement
I don't care what anyone says, the dual blades are frickin amazing. I've held the platform longer with blades than my heavy ever could. BTW, semi unknown fact about the blade deflect, it works against melee attacks too. Deflect works essentially exactly like Genji deflect from OW. has a narrow cone of blocking in front of you an deflects hit back to where your crosshair is. You do take chip damage though.

the way i found it was by going through all the free games for ps5 then i saw the finals. it looked soo cool so i started playing it. by best decision in my time gaming

Dual blade will block indefinitely unless you get grappled. You take a small % of the damage your blades are blocking and it also can knock the bullets back at the enemy. So you’re not immune to damage and can still be killed. It only blocks bullets from the opponent you’re looking at, keep that in mind.
I don't know why people are mad, they stated that terminal attack on this season of rank is temporary as they wanted to fix things on the cashout gamemode and they couldn't if if was still in the rank pool
I can't really judge their decisions yet since there's still a locked button in world tour.
Being a casually competitive guy myself (I try to win but don't run sweaty loadouts) I like the world tour format more for cashout. But i totally understand why some people want ranked back

I believe the main reason they changed the ranked mode is to make the light class viable(playable) for rank. Light is such a bad class and it does nothing when cashout is heavily based on healing and fast revives, making the point of light pointless when their whole purpose is to get quick and fast damage and get out for their team to push up on that. Essentially making the class very hard to play and be useful in a team setting. The new rank now makes any role viable instead of making 2 of the roles useful
Hmmmm interesting. I didn’t play much in season 2 but yeah the light class feels amazing in the new mode. I’m assuming he wasn’t that good before?
@3eeexton Light was a eh pick when playing ranked cashout. In Dimond lobbies, most teams with a light would lose most of the time. When it's a mode where healing and defibs are insanely good same for surviving. You can see why light is hardly picked compared to a medium with a healing beam or a heavy bringing mash shield
I was lowkey irritated with the ranked change then I actually played it and I have 0 complaints

They shouldn't have barrels in the waiting area, people keep throwing them right before the start to set their team on fire then once the wall drops you take dmg 😂 i played 2 rounds on ranked and it happened everytime i was defending

The finals along with their devs is something to appreciated. Great game, great communication, interaction with the studio and its players. The season preview with the sound guy from embark is so good.
Im conflicted on these ranked changes. I enjoy the mode and I think its fun but for a ranked setting it just doesn't fit. I loved the setup of the old tournament style. I think the teamplay was 10 times better and, in my opinion, the big steal moments were so much better and exciting. I love that I can play light in ranked now though
Carry a data reshaper brother and just reshape those turrets and mines, reshaper is very underrated

I think its funny all those people who defended TA is defended it being the new ranked and said that it was better for the game... the only thing i have seen since about the finals are negative mostly bc of TA the mode has brought a lot of negativity and toxicity. Lol i think its a fun mode of you are in the mode for it but it plays way to slow compared to cash out. I think it would make a fun extra ranked mode but not the main one like it is now. And i think world tour is really good and something that shouldn't be undone but they have a full ranked more sweaty mode yk. I think having a combative side for most of the modes wouldnt be bad but shouldnt be the main focus.

i get why some people like the new ranked change but me personally i’m really not trying to be in that game mode for so long, there’s so many rounds, especially if you’re just stomping the other team every round it’s like excruciatingly long for no reason, i’d like it if there were fewer rounds

My only problem with ranked TA is LH1 abusers. That weapon got insanely broken in Season 3 with the buff. Every high ranked lobby runs 4-5 lights all LH1s... any player can kill you within 1.5 seconds.

Terminal Attack to me feels like R6 Siege Bomb Defuse, I honestly prefer it to Cashout but I like all game modes. A Ranked mode for each gametype that rotates through would have been a good idea imo.
Please don’t play the finals people (I wanna get top 500 ruby ak and it’s harder w more people >_< )

Last season the ranked system was ass, you didn't know how much points you had to rank up.

What other games have serverside destruction like that?! Honestly curious; the fully destructible environment is a big part part of how I have so much fun in this game. The only people throwing a fit about changes they've made are children, because Cash Out is still in the game & the devs have told us that it will be ranked again after reworks.
Marvel rivals is coming out soon, it’s basically overwatch w marvel characters. They have “destruction” but no where near the finals
i mean you can still play the same game mode, it has a little bit of ranking to it. I personally think the S&D game mode is genius, especially the way they implemented it with season 2's theme. something about a S&D game mode in a massive map with everything destructible feels refreshing to me.
I never liked ranked tournament. Not being able to switch your loadout mid match is lame and makes the meta stale. Also doesn't allow for creative counter plays. Quick Cash is what the majority of the players prefer.

If they want terminal attack to work, than they have to change the maps.. those maps were not made for a 5v5.. And even if it works.. i can just play cs or valorant.. games that focus on that 5v5 and are balanced... They will loose me in the long term if the finals ranked more doesnt come back..

I'm just disappointed that the ranked rewards are locked behind playing TA. I still love the game and I really am loving world tour. Also if you check out the world tour page you will see theres a gamemode called "the finals" that says coming soon.
