    Thanks so much for sharing this video….so helpful!!!!!! I have a 2004 Taco and intend it make it last forever. 🤣 I have a squeek/clicking noise behind the glove box and I assume from your video that it is the Blend Door actuator. Thanks again for taking the time to show us what’s what!!!!

    Sorry for the poor sound quality, I didn't realize until after filming that the air blowing from the vents was causing poor sound quality. Whoops.

    I miss the days of cable actuated blend doors. Now they install servo motors so when they fail, you get to buy a new one and either try to fix it yourself or pay someone to do it. And they said Toyotas all you have to do is put gas in them.and change the oil and they'll run forever. HA!!!😂

      At least Toyota makes it accessible. In Nissan Titans you literally have to remove the entire console and dash. It's about a $1000 job to replace a $15 part. I actually made a video about it.

    I have a 2004 toyota tacoma that's not blowing air from the central vents. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?

    • @jeffro1200
      @jeffro1200  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like it could be this same issue because it sounds like it could be stuck in defrost. Is air coming out the top of the dashboard at your windshield?

    • @jeffreyedano5892
      @jeffreyedano5892 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am having problems with my heater and A/C no working (blowing enough heat air and cold air) i checked the water valve in the engine compartment and it is good, not restricted or plugged.
    I checked the actuating cable from the valve to down in the cabin and to where it connects but that thing is on the passenger side. I was thinking that it is some kind of motor that actuates the flappers in the duct system.
    I will check that "mode actuator" you showed, is that the correct name for the part in case i need to order it?
    Thank you.
    Good video

    My 03 Taco when the temp/ ac selector is in the ac mode it makes a gurgling sound behind the dash. When switched to heat, it stops . Not sure if you had the same experience with your temp control actuator. Thanks.

    My middle knob works but the servo motor gets stuck and I have to go under my hood and manually change it to cool or heat. I have changed the servo motor would know what else to try?

    How did you checked the blend actuator? I think my problem is the blend actuator. But i don't know if i can change it. I will have to check both.

      That’s my problem to the blend actuator. When I turn on the AC blows cold air in hot air simultaneously.

      @@SDsailor7 do you know what I found out what was wrong with mine? The Actual knob that controls the temperature was cracked and compromised and could not turn the brass stem that adjusts the temperature… after removing the actuator and driving to the auto parts store to purchase it .. I just had to glue the knob together and the dial works perfectly fine.

      The digital clock comes with the truck. I have a 2004 Tacoma and I can't see mine because the right control arm (windshield wiper) on the steering column blocks it.

      @@jeffro1200 Hi Jeff, My problem is no outside air coming in i only get warm air and when i turn on my AC i do get cold air but not enough cold due to the heating air coming in. So could my problem be the mode actuator? was that the problem you where having? i am going to check the blend air actuator motor on the passenger side to make sure it is working and i am also going to check the mode actuator motor like you described and if that is the problem i will look for it online i imagine it will be very pricey at the dealer.
