Nice. Also! Did you guys know that Coconut flesh (the white part) is grated and soaked in hot water. The coconut cream rises to the top and can be skimmed off. The remaining liquid is squeezed through a cheesecloth to extract a white liquid that is coconut milk. By repeating this process, the coconut milk becomes thinner to make coconut milk.

@@almanabatar1142 Definitely they wash their hand before processing the Oil. The Coconut 🥥 have to be dried on the Sun before this process. The bacteria infection is very minimum.

Amazed to see this process for extraction of coconut oil. In Northern india, similar procedure wqs used for sunflower seed oil and mustard seed oil using bulls rolling heavy load instead of motors as available today easily. Known as "Kolhu/Kohlu" chakki , tel(oil) mill.
Its almost gone now with huge refineries trying to save time and increase monetary benefits .

Coconut is edible and real food unlike mustard sunflower oil etc. All north Indians and Andhra people drinking coconut oil while eating coconut. Don't mislead and rice in Kerala is washed well Kerala people are hygienic in India like Europeans . Don't mislead the rice is not washed it is brown rice most people like in Kerala because it's healthy , it is not because of not washing it's the colour brown of it because not polished organic rice. don't spread any false hate speak against Kerala people and food. Some Andhra people are the one telling to north Indians such things.
I love India due to it pure traditions. I don't understand this language. But understand concept of bull driven , pressure, heat, temperature.

Instead of the flat container a conical one would've solved him having to push the coconuts onto the press. He could've just put the coconuts in and gravity would've taken care of the rest.

@@ashrafali-ly7ll 2-3 days with shell and after removing the shell u need to dry it for again 2-3 days.overall max 1week.
You could have slightly sloping platform, so the manual task gets reduced to minimum

About 45 - 50 years ago almost every village in Kerala had these types of oil mills. Current status not known to me. At least there was no adulteration. Machine itself will push coconut into the extractor, there was no need to put your hands
Lots of these small chekku units are coming up again in Tamil Nadu as awareness of health benefits of cold pressed virgin oils is increasing.
In my area, lot of fake groundnut oils are produced. People just buying as groundnut oil with low price(172 rupees) but they don’t know they buying palm oil for that cost. If you seethe back of that oil can they mentioning 80% palm+20z groundnut oil. So spread the awareness for unaware people. Heavy adulteration happening in cooking oil.
Now every village has expeller type extractor.. those give 65%yeild compared to 55% in this .
Indians are developing machines that endanger the operator as much as possible. That’s why every Indian you know has at least 3 deformities.

We make our coconut🥥 oil here in Philippines differently we cook the coconut 🥥 milk till the oil come out
Both methods are used.
Wooden pressed retains all the nutrients, so it's the best way of extracting oil.. nothing can be compared to the traditional wooden pressed oil..
No we also use this method.

Make wooden plate to collect coconut accumulate and push inside. Also the drain opening need a big size tool made to open it easy. Banging with damage the welded joint to the cylinder body.

How much mineral oil you are eating in your fassi certified/allowed oils do you know? Foolish question when you are eating Street foods like chat, panipuri, burgers etc. Famous chiken (kf) killed 5/10 years ago preserved. .Packed milk contains goat, buffellow and cow. Observe at collection centres.

Touching with hand the doesn't became poison. But we all using refined oil they mixing paraffin to it. It causes heart and kidney problems and Cancer not good for our health. This is the best process to get cooking oil

Can be made, but on commercial level it is ok. But on Home purpose it is quite impossible to do Maintenance. Because finding good carpenter who is specialized in Carving the correct size pestle is very tough. As the pestle needs to be replaced once you crush a certain quantity of nuts as it starts loosing it original shape.
It is there in Kerala. I have seen in a trade Fair it cost 20,000 . It very nice and only look like a small grinder , all seed oil can be extract from that. If interested I will try to get the number

method for large industry of copra milling to produced 1st process of oil..
1st a large pre breaker that cuts into medium size of copras.
2nd a medium size of pre breaker we called it hammer milling, to cuts more small sizes of copras.
3rd is we called it crack n roll to grind the copras into a smaller pieces..it contains w/ two machine
4th is we called it flakers, to smash it into smallest size like flour size.
5fth is we called it expeller, it contains 3 methods machine in there the 1st method is what we called 1st cooker 2nd one is the 2nd cooker and to control the maximum feed to 3rd method we called it horizontal machine, it's methid is to squeeze the flour size of copras and it become oil and we called it (copra caked) the product of animal feeds
6th is the last method the filtering it contains a pressurized air filter to removed all the smallest particle of copras..
So amazing to watch traditional ways of oil extraction. However, what happens to the ground coconuts? Are they used for something else or just thrown out?
