    Only just found this - what a fantastic session - well done all!

    Thank you Edward and Brian for making this critical process crystal clear. I have been imaging for 3 years now and simply stopped well before, and then flipped well after meridian. Before now I did not have a mount that the safety stops could configured. I just ordered a G11T and am well prepared to set it up correctly, both for the safety of my equipment, and to maximize the prime imaging time.

    Edward did a great job. Excellent presentation. Excellent power points.

    I had trouble with the link to the spreadsheet then I realized I never joined the losmandy group. Thanks for putting out this info, when my mount gets here I can put it to use.

    Edward Plumer on the software stack was *such* a solid piece of work.

    Very informative video covering N.I.N.A. 1.11. Timely video covering meridian flips, Losmandy mount Safety Limits and connections to Losmandy mounts. Thanks for setting it up. Edward thanks for taking the initiative for working on the Losmandy meridian flip issue and developing the Excel file.

      Jim, my thanks to you and everyone on the Losmandy forum who helped talk through the meridian flip behavior.

    Great video. I've been using NINA with my Los. Titan for some time and love it. I now prefer it over SGP. Also note that the simple sequencer is a good way to start and has many features. (probably enough features for many astro photographers). A good way to learn the advanced sequencer is to let NINA create an advanced sequence from your simple sequence.

    Brian excellent as always. The link to the spreadsheet "Edward's Excel worksheet for calculating Meridian" gives a 404 error Not found. Is there perhaps an alternative link? Also, thanks you for adding closed captions to the YT video podcasts and your Losmandy tutorials. Being almost deaf, they are extremely valuable to me.

    Great video . Brian , I noticed you mentioned using pempro. I'm curious if you had better pec results than with pec in gemini.

    • @brianvalente
      @brianvalente 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave- absolutely. It’s night and day difference both in terms of results but also the intent behind the pec implementations. For modern Astro imaging you really want a high-quality periodic error correction, and Pempro is the best way to do that

      @Ed - it's definitely an in-depth topic. hopefully the table of contents in the description helps navigate this

    Ive just been setting up my Gemini 2 / Nina re the video and spreadsheet and see there is a Gemini ASCOM: "Nudge mount out of safety limit on slew" in the spread sheet which states "ON". Not sure if this was covered in the video ? The default in my Gemini ASCOM driver is "OFF" and if you change it you get a warning. I have changed this to "ON" in my setup.

    • @brianvalente
      @brianvalente 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Dave thanks for the comment. Yes for imaging you should have it ON. it us unlikely it will come into use, but if your mount hits the safety limit and stops, having this ON will allow you to slew to the next target (or park when going to CWD). hope that helps
