Be kind to others without expecting anything (except niku). Always smile. Value your friends like your own life. Chasing your dreams no matter what. Being free. We might not be able to be perfect, but if we can at least become a bit like him a little bit by each of us, I think the world will be a much better place.
coming back from the finished wano arc, it's safe to say, despite all of luffy's struggles and enemies he's faced, as well as all the time that has passed, his attitude, personality and especially his theme, remains timeless.
It's interesting for a shonen character to have such a peaceful and playful main theme and leitmotif. I mean, sure, he has his own plethora of battle themes, but this? THIS is Luffy's main character theme, even more so than Overtaken, or Fierce Attack, or Let's Battle, or even My Highest Peak. Normally, I'm used to characters like the Joestars or Son Goku or Kenshiro, who's only themes associated with them are the main battle themes. When the main character's main theme/leitmotif plays in those animes, it's because they have the upper hand in a fight, and that's generally the only context. But here? Luffy's theme, a cheerful tune as silly and carefree as its inspiration? Of course it plays during the times where Luffy is most... himself. Silly, carefree, and eternally adventurous. It's a perfect summation of the show's heart, really.

Luffy has always been my favorite over any main anime character because for many reasons: he doesn’t get angry when he gets talked about or gets hit, doesn’t take anything personal unless when it comes to his friends, always in high spirits regardless of the situation, high hopes, and determination.
