I stg I thought I recognized Mara and the second they showed her dancing I knew it. My bud back in the day had all these vhs tapes on dancing from like all the music video choreographers and that type of thing, and he'd get all these clips online, and I swear she was on a few. Also, Mara is um quit hawt. Sup with these unassuming hotties on the sunny pod 🤔
The fat Mac body rolling across the stage is honestly the funniest thing I've ever seen. I laugh every single time and it's my favorite episode of all time.
Best. Episode. Ever. The speech by Frank in corpse make up, the Yankee Doodle remix, Dee's petty interactions with pageant contestants... Peak television comedy.
It’s hilarious. Just that look on his face & his turtle neck not covering his gut. The whole episode was a knock out of the park. I loved it. It’s in my top 10 for sure.

Yeah..I felt so surprised the emotions that this show hits me with. I wasn't balling but definitely had some tears at the beauty if that performance. I have NEVER cried over anyone dancing. This just HIT hard and differtently.
The rest of the episode was emotional, but I didn't feel anything but confusion about the dance, it pulled me out of it. I've watched it quite a few times trying to understand what I'm supposed to get out of it, I just don't get how it conveys any deep message beyond "here's some good dancing"
Not that it wasn't good, but until that point there was building emotion about Mac coming out to his dad that was resonating with me, and then suddenly I'm totally out of that and just thinking, "Oh, nice. Okay, good dancing. Cool." Then back into the story when his dad walks out and when Frank says he gets it. The dancing itself just seems very out of place to me.
Rob’s dance scene at the end of season 13 should’ve garnered him some award. One of the most amazing moments on tv ever and it just shows the lengths Rob will go to for his craft. They all deserve so much more accolades for what they do!
Mac’s dance, and really the whole episode, should definitely have garnered them an award. It was so beautiful and moving, and showing Franks change was so profound and what the world needs more of. It should get an award if for no other reason than to get more people to see the message.
The best dance moment is, of course, Mac’s Michael Jackson moment where he opens his button up at the high school reunion, and then when everyone snaps back to reality lol.
Knowing that the team puts their all into this show, with Kaitlyn with breaking her body multiple times and Rob spending months on his AMAZING choreography, just affirms this group are comedic genius. Mac's dance scene brings me to tears every time.
I agree n I’m watching this episode again on break for like the 4th time and I ugly cry at the Mac dance and Danny saying he gets it. Right to the heart. franks little beauties has to be one of the best episodes for me, it’s goddamn hilarious and i feel like it doesn’t get mentioned enough as one of the best most iconic episodes
I have been teaching ballet for 15 years. Watching this podcast episode made me feel seen... Rob, your dance performance was incredible. I am grateful for your words about the work that dancers do... although we make dancing look easy, it is anything but. Thank you, Rob, for working as hard as you did and as hard as all of us dancers in the community do. Your performance was outstanding. I am grateful that you brought the art of dance to a new audience, and hope that your beautiful performance can inspire others to move and be free.
Massive respect for what you do. Every time I see someone dancing on their toes I'm amazed, I watched videos explaining it and yet the only explanation I can accept is that you people have some king of magic power.
For me, it was Charlie recreating his epic freeze frame jump and just nailing it. To hear these guys actually be worried in the earlier episodes about doing the podcast and see how quickly they just rocketed Monday mornings to be one of the best parts of the week has just been awesome to watch.
The “coming out” dance makes me emotional when I watch it still, I remember the first time I saw it tearing up which is so unexpected yet beautiful for IASIP. Hearing Rob’s story about the effort he put in to practice for that just makes me appreciate it all the more. Absolute masterpiece and deserves an award.
Glenn has always struck me as being surprisingly graceful and some of his dance moments are my favorites- the spin move from the High School Reunion was amazing and his high step with the "dramatic flair!" for the pageant was perfect; his expression kills me
I loved that Rob mentioned the Pride choreographers were patient. Their attitude and professionalism truly helped deliver one of the most iconic and memorable television moments of all time.
the season 13 finale is hands down one of my favorite dance pieces of all time. so beautifully shot and you can really see how much the team cared about getting this right.
He explains in the episode that God is a hot chick and he wants to dance with her. The water is a reference to the cruise scene of him standing in the rain talking to God. Mac has always been religious but also thought God doesn't approve of the gay lifestyle. The dance is God accepting him. At the end of the dance and after Macs father walked out she whispers to Mac that "it's okay". Even the song has meaning. It's Varud by Sigur Ros and it's about the cold darkness of icelandic winters. Possibly about how being in the closet for so long made him feel on the inside
The "coming out/internal struggle" dance was the most beautiful, meaningful and impactful moment in the history of Television. THAT and Charlie crying in the last episode are both worthy of Emmys. Amazing work.
Thank you for mentioning the Charlie in Ireland episode. Because that was one of the most emotional scenes for me. When he was basically yelling at his dead father for not carrying him....😢 "you shoulda carried me."😢
19:30 I love how initially Dennis has his mind blown becusse of Charlie’s moves but then the slight look of disgust right afterwards like he just can’t take it it’s all too mind blowing 😅😅
It's so real too, it's not really disgust there but I've definitely had the same feeling when drunk of needing to not see what someone's doing because it's all a bit much
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but during the ep when mac says "to quote Tom hardy: I'm an actor of course I've slept..." the full quote is "..with a man." That is so funny to me that they've slipped that little bit in there
Robs dance at the end of season 13 still gives me shivers. Around that time I realised I was bisexual and remember I was really scared telling my father about it. But just this moment of the show gave me so much courage. It's a scene that's difficult for me to watch cause it just brings up all these emotions. Tears every time. But thanks Sunny for just being an amazing show and for maning this amazing scene
That season finale is one of my most favoured TV moments. I always cry a river after Danny’s line, what a climax! Thank you for having the guts to do something serious.
Where is this tear river located? Would be an amazing thing to have validated as a world record for the purposes of travel, and tourism.Im sure there's a lot of people who would pay good money to see a human who is able to produce an entire river from simply crying. Please video tape this, and upload it for the world to see,as I honestly can't imagine something that could be more scientifically significant than this in the year 2022.I know tears aren't the greatest source of fresh water, but with proper desalination techniques, and decontamination protocols in place,we could honestly start solving the world's water crisis with just a few people woth such rare abilities. I'm eagerly looking forward to your official postings in the science community.
@@dorian6021 are you? I'm not sure why you're asking,as don't know you,but I can only imagine it's in a sad attempt to try and mock me for being myself. An attempt that is futile,as I'm fully comfortable with who I am,and in no way can possibly entertain the concept of being embarrassed for being myself.Perhaps some self reflective meditation would be useful for you.
The fact that they never undercut Mac's dance and this absurdist comedy ends an entire season on such a dramatically beautiful moment is proof that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the single greatest show ever shown on Television. I don't know if too much Sunny is even possible. Thanks for all the laughs and beautiful moments guys!
I'm glad that fat Mac's side shuffle is finally getting the recognition it deserves. It's up there with the moon landing and Beatles on Ed Sullivan in TV history
I have been referred to as the Dennis of my friend group for not having feelings but I wept watching Mac's coming out scene and then watched it two more times immediately after and again cried on the third one. It's truly beautiful and so unexpected and it's such an indescribable experience to get to watch something so true and personal to my own life played out on screen. Simply existing as a queer person can be exhausting and demoralizing and I have had, multiple times in the years since this episode aired, days when I pulled the scene back up to bask a little in this moment of being seen and understood. I am so grateful for Rob and everyone involved in that dance and scene for putting so much work into it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for this beautiful organized choreographed dance.
As a bisexual dude who has struggled a lot with his masculinity over my life, Mac's Pride dance is one of the most beautiful things I've seen. Legit makes me cry everytime.
It literally gave me the strength to come out as bi to my then gf at the time. Had never said the words out loud, but did within minutes of that episode ending.
Mac’s dance for his dad moves me to tears almost every time I watch it. For a sitcom like Sunny, It’s Always Sunny has some very genuine and beautiful moments.
As someone who legit enjoys choreographed dance,I enjoy all dances,as I properly recognize the importance, and individual skills required for such things. All choreographed dances are the best in their own right,as they are essentially incomparable to one another.
Love it. Missed at least one though. The scene just before Dennis leaves to raise his kid, they're all dancing in the bar doing their classic moves is so good. Charlie doing the butt, Mac doing the elbows, Dee doing the tube-man, and Frank doing the move while Dennis watches. Just amazing.
The expectation vs reality in the reunion episode is hands down the single greatest moment in the history of television, possibly entertainment, possibly the history of humanity!
I'll never forget seeing Mac's big dance to Sigur Rós. It was just incredible, leaving alone how surprised I was to hear one of my favorite bands in Always Sunny like this. Perfection.
Ive seen all of these episodes like most you you guys listening/watching the podcast but even watching Mac's water dance and Frank's reaction even via this podcast STILL made me cry. Sobbing. It gets me every time. We as fans get it. We get the intent as they talk about all the time on here. We get the separation of actual people, the writers then the characters ie the banned/pulled episodes. We also get that its not just fart humor (well sometimes). Its intelligent and thoughtful and also hilarious and stupid. This podcast has given us such great insight behind the scenes but also a chance to see friends just have fun and reminisce over 2 decades of art and collab. Im 42. My 1st episode was Manhunter and I was like what the fuck is this amazing show. I started from ep 1 (back then no streaming u had to go buy the dvds) and I was hooked. Not that any of them will see this but I did wanna say thanks for taking the time out of your lives and family time and work time to do this podcast for us. Its great. Also MEG is fucking fantastic and smart and cute and is a well needed balance to this pod
i dont know where else to say this so let me write it here, mac's pride dance makes me cry EVERYTIME and I've rewatched the entire show like 8 times, and that episode more than 8. unlocks an emotion inside me everytime. great dance choreography and great dancers, huge kudos to rob (and hes not even gay. hes not even gay)
Katlin did such an incredible job with the inflatable dancing arm thing! She matches the moves so exactly in real time! I've watched it multiple times throughout the years to see if it were a greenscreen or something lol
This format worked. Rob was cute in this one. And I think between his amazing comedic dancing on High School and his epic performance for the prisoners, he wins the Sunny Dance challenge. Also not included because it was already covered, his karate dancing. I also love the gag where they're doing the ceremony and Mac and Dennis sway with the music.
I don’t think I’ll laugh harder than the dance moments from Season 7, but my all time, favourite Sunny moment might have to be Mac’s dance. It caught me at a really low point in my life, right in the middle of a break up, and brought me a huge amount of comfort that I don’t think I’ll ever soon forget. Thank you not only for that dance, but for giving us a reason early in the podcasts run to discuss at length just how amazing it is.
Pod cast continues to be the best part of Monday! Love all the dancing, but especially Rob's interpretative dance. The combo of raw emotion, amazing choreography and excellent music choice makes it one of the most moving pieces of art and television I've witnessed. I openly weep every time I watch it; it's perfectly moving. Great job on another brilliant episode!
I've always said that the scene at the end of the beauty pageant where they leave thru the side exit still in their jumpsuits makes me totally picture a Ghostbusters remake starring the cast of Sunny. It would be hysterical and that scene has the exact energy I would picture.
All these dances are so funny, macs coming out dance and Frank's reaction is absolutely . Without fail I cry at that seen everytime. I'm welling up just thinking about it. It's one of the most poignant heartfelt moments not just on this show but any show I've ever seen.
Frank's transition from being the worst father to Dennis and dee to actually becoming a man who is trying (at times) has added so much depth to the show and the character.
In the rain scene when Mac is dancing with the ballerina, I just want to say that I LOVE the move towards the beginning where Mac holds a plank while she does legwork on/next to him. That was so dope and very impressive. The entire thing was fantastic! If no one knew he wasn’t a dancer I don’t think anyone would be able to tell
34:15 i cried the first time i watched this. I was a dancer for several years and I taught it for years as well and it looked incredible. I thought it was so incredible for Rob to be able to pull this off, *ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT IS SUNNY*
Mac's dance makes me cry every time. I was floored the first time I saw it, and i agree with others, it should have won some award. It is one of the best moments on TV. It was so beautiful, touching and important. One of my favorite dances of all time, great job Rob
Sunny has some solid cry moments. Like Charlie in Ireland mourning his dad. The dance was crazy. The unexpected moment for me was when they showed the real footage of rob and the people of Philly celebrating the Eagles win with the rocky music.
First of all, love Mara. Second, you're all great dancers, especially Dennis on drugs. The scene at the HS reunion was hilarious. Rob's water dance though, it gets me every time. So beautifully done and Rob's acting in it, and how it was presented, truly amazing.
Season 7 had SO much Organised Choreographed Dance! I can't wait for the guys to get there in their rewatch. Hopefully this means more dancing in S16? (Please!) I often rewatch the music/dance bits from the show with my friends (hello 13:12), so this was such a clever idea for an episode.
Glenn looking directly at the camera and smiling during the dance in Charlie rules the world has been my favorite thing for a long time, i watch it over and over every time i watch the episode.
I love how this show is one of the few shows I can always go back to and watch over and over so its good to see you guys sitting around and cracking up at the stuff you made just like us
Couldn't agree more with Glenn about Danny's moments in the show, you sometimes forget he's such a good actor then he reminds you with a scene like Mac's dance.
Creeps (and visiting Listeners)! Tell us what your favorite Always Sunny dance moment is in the comments below.
The majesty of the movement....iunno prolly some green man stuff 🤣
It truly is just a moment, Dennis and Mac swaying to Enigma during Schmitty’s initiation into the gang.
Commenting pre watch, favorite dance is charlies butt dance. Schmittys is just too forced
Maybe not the funniest, but enjoyed end of season 12 with gang minus Dennis dancing to Genius Of Love than blowing up his car with the RPG.

Lol I need to watch that. This is my first time creeping aside from seeing some IG clips. All listenin’ babyyyy
@@timf7679 Which ep was this?

The “coming out” dance makes me emotional when I watch it still, I remember the first time I saw it tearing up which is so unexpected yet beautiful for IASIP. Hearing Rob’s story about the effort he put in to practice for that just makes me appreciate it all the more. Absolute masterpiece and deserves an award.
Macs coming out dance is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. It speaks so much to emotions I didn’t know existed.
The highschool dance reality reveal still kills me every time. Mac just grunt/moan/screaming is amazing
I cried like a baby during macs water dance
Right. I loved Charlie's support. You can see the work that Rob put into it and Charlie is truly acknowledging the work he put in.
Same!
Lol i cri evrytym
I still do. And I still don’t get it
He explains in the episode that God is a hot chick and he wants to dance with her.
It's so real too, it's not really disgust there but I've definitely had the same feeling when drunk of needing to not see what someone's doing because it's all a bit much
I cry every time I see Rob's dance. The tears don't start til Danny says he gets it. Even seeing it here made my eyes well up
Kaitlin/Dee dancing like the tube-man on the boat episode had me rolling. My favorite thing. "I can learn a lot from this guy."
Mac and Dennis confronting her about her PDiddy Boat Dance is one of my favorite moments.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but during the ep when mac says "to quote Tom hardy: I'm an actor of course I've slept..." the full quote is "..with a man." That is so funny to me that they've slipped that little bit in there
Macs dance is by far one of the greatest moments of television of all time. Makes me cry each time! Simply stunning
you are a child, it's just a dance in a silly tv show, well executed and serves the story
@@larrote6467 ok :) have a nice xmas

Robs dance for his Dad at the end of season 13 literally made me cry. A grown man crying at mac dancing, it was that powerful 👏
high estrogen energy
When it zooms in on Franks tears I break
@@Mattened bro you're so cool
Robs dance at the end of season 13 still gives me shivers. Around that time I realised I was bisexual and remember I was really scared telling my father about it. But just this moment of the show gave me so much courage.
It's a scene that's difficult for me to watch cause it just brings up all these emotions. Tears every time. But thanks Sunny for just being an amazing show and for maning this amazing scene
That season finale is one of my most favoured TV moments. I always cry a river after Danny’s line, what a climax! Thank you for having the guts to do something serious.
Same! Danny’s “Oh my God, I get it.” And when Mac is coming out to his father and his voice cracks a little when he says “Dad”

Artemis saying "huh-gho hback to your seat" always makes me guffaw
They skipped the episode where Dennis calls it quits and every body is doing their signature dance in the same sequence
Yeah or when they're having a party at the apartment to bury the hatchet and they're all dancing to the same song 😂
also franks dancing at the club when Mac hooks up with barbara.
@@Anghas GO FOR IT GO FOR IT!
Also the last scene of Psycho Pete Returns when they're dancing with the boombox on the train platform
Was really looking forward to that one. I watched that sequence over and over. (Mainly for Charlie’s butt dance).
Frank saying "i get it" at Mac's dance fuckin kills me. I saw it at a really hard time and ...yep. crying like a baby thinking of it.
Rob is so proud of his serious pride dance, and so he should be. Really turned out to be a great piece of dramatic TV. 🔥👏
that was probably the worst episode in the entire series

"Mac Finds His Pride" was fantastic and I cried during the dance. Great work.
I think you cry too much.
As a fellow Nick, I can confirm; Cried like a baby.
Just an absolute triumph of human achievement.
Lmao
no way....its waaaay better
💀💀💀
Glenn asking "what season is this" is the most concise way to present this podcast imo
As a bisexual dude who has struggled a lot with his masculinity over my life, Mac's Pride dance is one of the most beautiful things I've seen. Legit makes me cry everytime.
I know right, the sheer amount of emotion projected is insane
When he finally comes out and his voice cracks just a little when he says “Dad” kills me every time
💖🌈🦄
I cry every time
It literally gave me the strength to come out as bi to my then gf at the time. Had never said the words out loud, but did within minutes of that episode ending.
How the hell did they not talk about the 'Genius of Love' dance sequence at the end of S12???? That covered everyone's iconic dance moves!!!
th-cam.com/video/DTfBIMK8JZ4/w-d-xo.html
For reference
Yeah I can't believe they skipped that.
True!!
They gotta make pt 2 😂
The dance on the Mac finds his Pride is AMAZING. Beyond words. Choice of music, choreograph everything. Brilliant.
Mac’s dance for his dad moves me to tears almost every time I watch it. For a sitcom like Sunny, It’s Always Sunny has some very genuine and beautiful moments.
As someone who legit enjoys choreographed dance, Mac's coming out performance is probably one of my favourite dances after the Movie Susperia
As someone who legit enjoys choreographed dance,I enjoy all dances,as I properly recognize the importance, and individual skills required for such things. All choreographed dances are the best in their own right,as they are essentially incomparable to one another.
The school reunion dance is amazing but nothing makes me laugh like Mac's karate/elbow dancing
Fat Mac with his gut hanging out is just classic. Happy bearded face and all. It's just too much.
Major shout out to Mara! She was an awesome host! You guys always have such a grounded and talented team, whether it's show or the podcast.
I agree! I kinda wanted her opinion on more of the clips lol
Wayyy better than Meg
Rob’s dance brings me to tears no matter how many times I watch it. Killed it.
The expectation vs reality in the reunion episode is hands down the single greatest moment in the history of television, possibly entertainment, possibly the history of humanity!
That mac scene actually made me cry the first time i watched it the way his dad just stands up and walks away is incredibly heartbreaking
Rob's ballet dance makes me emotional, it's so damn good. Also props to them for addressing the critique that it betrays the show's tone.
I'll never forget seeing Mac's big dance to Sigur Rós. It was just incredible, leaving alone how surprised I was to hear one of my favorite bands in Always Sunny like this. Perfection.
I think if Kaitlin thought she can do her dance even better to the inflatable thing it is definitely worth bringing back at some point for another go!
Turning us all into creeps. Speaking of creepy, my favorite dance moment is Charlie eating Dennis's eyes. Gave me Labyrinth vibes.
Franks "go for it go for it" dance is the best in the series, guys. I'm sorry Rob, yours is close second though.
they had a lot more great dance scenes they could've put in the episode for sure lol
The dance scene in Mac Finds His Pride was one of the most touching things I’ve ever seen on TV.
Dennis and Mac drunkenly singing "Boys are back in Town" is my favorite dancing moment.
36:24 it’s always Sunny in Philadelphia is 1 of only 2 shows to make me cry and laugh, and this scene is when it happened.
I really hope you guys are eventually 55 years old still making this show lol… never gets old
That whole high school dance routine kills me every time. Genuine tears of joy as they crank Dee's head brace side to side
they’ve somehow made monday the best day of the week
Absolutely loving how bold they are in showing content from the show
Rob‘s dance of the end of season 13 literally brought me and my boyfriend to tears. It was so beautiful, he should be very proud! ❤
Mac dancing to song poison when he goes down on Dennis is hilarious as Glenn laughing at end of that scene in the gang dances their ass off episode.
Mac's serious dancing scene was brilliant. Looking foward to know how he and his father will deal with Mac's coming out!
Seeing them enjoy their own creation brings me a new level of joy that I haven't felt since I discovered the show in High School.
16:55 When I first watched this episode and Kaitlin threw out the “VUHHHH-Gina!” I laughed so hard. So unexpected
the fact that Glenn was doing diff versions of beat boxing in each sequence was killing me lol the 2nd one in particular
Macs turtle neck shuffle is top spot all time. Love this show thanks all the way from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Mac's dance and Charlie's breakdown over his father are just incredible moments
The transition between dances from The High School Reunion will always remain one of my top always sunny moments, will never not laugh at that ♥️♥️♥️
34:15 i cried the first time i watched this. I was a dancer for several years and I taught it for years as well and it looked incredible. I thought it was so incredible for Rob to be able to pull this off, *ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT IS SUNNY*
After Glenn mentioned it a few (hundred) times, I just finished watching A.P. Bio and I loved it. So sad it ended like that with no real resolution 😟

The water dancing scene with Mac at the end of Season 13 had me bawling. Such an unexpectedly beautiful, moving scene.
Mac's dance and the power of love by FGTH are two of the most moving and inspirational things I have ever seen or heard
Glenn looking directly at the camera and smiling during the dance in Charlie rules the world has been my favorite thing for a long time, i watch it over and over every time i watch the episode.
I love how this show is one of the few shows I can always go back to and watch over and over so its good to see you guys sitting around and cracking up at the stuff you made just like us
The dance scene from "Mac finds his pride" is unbelievably perfect.. I ugly cry everytime I see it. 😭🖤
Couldn't agree more with Glenn about Danny's moments in the show, you sometimes forget he's such a good actor then he reminds you with a scene like Mac's dance.
You can tell they genuinely love making this show by the way they laugh watching these clips. Love the show and pod!
