I love that he goes "you're not gonna forget this guy, right?" As if they're gonna forget Danny freaking Devito if he hadn't said his dad had a box of teeth
Still, he's not wrong. Obviously him being Danny DeVito was the more relevant factor, but if some random guy told you that his dad had a box of teeth and watches within a minute of you meeting him for the first time, you'd never forget him.
Coming back after watching the episode about Charlie getting very upset that his mother gave the families box of teeth to his two sisters.
Makes me think this box of teeth story is either real or they got the inspiration for it from this interview.

I absolutely loved the first season of it's always sunny and when Danny devito joined the cast in the second season it made it even better.

I always find it to be an adjustment watching The Gang be mature, well-adjusted functional adults when they’re not on the show. It takes a minute to get used to.
Came here looking for this comment. I just got into It's always sunny a couple of days ago, and had the dubious privilege of somehow managing to avoid all of these actors until now (not really a movie/tv guy), and after binge watching a couple of seasons, I'm literally having a hard time accepting them being.... Well, people.

Danny being an integral part of It's Always Sunny almost feels like a happy accident.
I just watched a video today (probably why this was recommended lol) by entertainment elk that said they didn't originally even want him in the cast; he was a network suggestion as a big-name celebrity that would draw attention to the show. well, it worked and he ended up being such a core part of it. It's really interesting how close we were to a world where this show didn't exist. and boy, oh boy, am I glad it exists.
