Cows and sheep have a more complex ruminant digestive system, so they are able to make better use of the forage. Cows and sheep can survive and thrive on forage alone, as long as the forage is of good enough quality. Chickens and turkeys will eat some grass as well as bugs. We believe that is a very important part of their diet, even if it only makes up 15-30% of their total intake.
