I was trying to find this song for YEARS. Yesterday I went to an Orchestra concert and they played the Polovtsian Dances AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I REMEMBERED THE DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION SONG, I played it when I was like 8 on my PS2, now I'm a nostalgic 21-year-old who is happy that I finally found it 😭
I friend.... if you want to play PS2 again, download the PCSX2 1.7 emulator. It's always getting new updates. The DDR SuperNOVA is running very well at 60fps :)
This song is available in _DDR SuperNOVA_ and newer at the arcade. The only thing is that when playing on a non-SD cabinet, the music video is stretched.
First time I saw that music video for this on DDR Extreme 2, it looked like something out of Final Fantasy or some other similar anime type of work, and I also didn’t know the lyrics were in Russian.
I just spent the better part of 2 hours today finding this track because I heard the orchestra in a random Itchy and Scratchy cartoon in Season 4 of the Simpsons, with an episode called "I Love Lisa". Couldn't remember where it was from... some random Final Fantasy? A cover by some Gothic Rock band I listened to in college? I remembered their being a woman singing chorus but the orchestra doesn't have one... then finally, by seeming miracle, my search brought me here where I now remember I heard it from DDR Extreme 2 for the PS2. Jeeeez... What a friggin' rabbit hole.
Sadly the only reason why this game never got a U.S. release was because it didn't sell well in Europe. Tbh just because the game doesn't sell well in Europe doesn't mean it was going to do bad in the U.S. 100%
I remembered played this song and my siblings thought it was a movie but told them it was a neither an opening for some video game that didn't came out yet but loved the beat and song though
i wonder how this game would have been in America if it came to America, well recieved in Japan but mediocre in Europe.... and yet i dont this this is a game that should be shelved within the archives of time.... something tells me a remake or a remaster might help it.

The animations are from a game that was released only in Japan, Europe and Korea. In Japan it's called OZ, in Europe it's called Sword of Etheria and in Korea it's called Chains of Power. The game is actually by Konami, developed by the same team who does the Castlevania series. So the short answer would be yes, it is more than a DDR background.
Polovtsian Dances is the original song and it's pretty popular actually! It's one of my favorite songs. I love the Ape Escape version as well. There's also a Sarah Brightman version... I think it was Sarah...

Will there be a remake for this game?
@@neatreaper8242 Sadly not since Konami doesn't care about their fans anymore because of Pachinko's and millions of PES Games.

Keep going. You're almost there, you know? I can't promise everything will magically get better once you cross that finish line, but...

Polovtsian Dances And Chorus (DDR Version)
▪From: DDR Extreme 2 (aka DDR Strike)
Extreme 2, my beloved.....
Fatos curiosos: caso voces não saibam, o nome do jogo no qual os personagem da mpusica pertence é The Sword of Etheria para PS2
found this on a ddr machine, i love Borodin
Whats the sound that slowly creeps in at 3:00. Is that a keyboard? I love that sound. What genre has a lot of that sound?
trance
Synthesiser. Trance, synthwave, dance
I was trying to find the orchestra piece. This is the first time I've heard the DDR version 😭

What a fckin banger

It did well actually
Where can we find and download (buy) the full version from?
If only the full song was on DDR...
Nickel 7o7 Well I guess Konami doesn't want players to get their feet exhausted from such long music, lol
AquaRyu but it would be one hell of a workout
lonetiger306 Yeah, but I hope there's a way to pause in the middle of the game at least XD
that would be nice
This is why Stepmania exists, you can add your own songs through download and create your own

Just hack your ps2 and play the game with USB, hard drive or ethernet cable connected to your computer.
