Hi everyone! Here is a NEW video with $50 FAKE Galaxy S9+ vs. $900 REAL Samsung Galaxy S9+. This is why you should not buy a fake Galaxy S9+ and this video explains how it compares to a real Samsung Galaxy S9+. Enjoy and please let me know what you think! ===> th-cam.com/video/MGT_XFgfXno/w-d-xo.html
If you buy any "clone" or even low-priced "official" devices (supposedly) at less than 90% their normal value and it's from someone you never met nor know about, one of the first thing to check even before login in with you Google account (like any android devices) is if there's an actual recovery system in the device. I know this sounds dumb if a phone or a tablet doesn't comes with a recovery system installed, it's far worse than only a "fake" device, but might also be an attempt to steal you personal information and log-in information. Yes, it's that serious! Android as an OS has 2 majors security issues that can easily be exploited just by having access to the phone itself. If the Developer Option is unlocked and active, you could count 3 manor security issues. To put it simple, if there's no recovery system installed, you can't actually erase any data you entered onto the device without bricking the device. If there's no recovery system installed, there's an extremely huge chance that the "Restore to Factory" in the settings menu has been modified so that no data is actually deleted from any account/app in the devices' installation folder and, instead, all it does is remove the App registration from the OS (which makes it looks like it's uninstalled, but it's 100% still in the device. Reinstalling the App give the user an immediate access to its content). I got a Chinese Scam fake tablet with me that I bought especially because I guessed (easily) that it was a rip-off on Amazon. The reason why I did it is that in the super slim chance that I really got the tablet I bought, it was dirt cheap (I would have bought a ton of it if that was the case), but it was more smoke than anything and the OS was flashed with fake information on the device. I got my money back (due to the product being "wrong" and not what I paid for) and I didn't even have to return the tablet (the seller tried to scam by attempting to make me return the tablet without using Amazon's customer services by initiating a refund with a comment "Return the product" as reason for the refund. This is NOT the way sellers do it on Amazon and because of that, I got my refund and I got to keep the tablet.) This allowed me to be a tad more hard on the tablet and to check things more deeply. The OS of the tablet was slightly modified to not allow the user to erase its data from it. (No recovery system. Restore to Factory didn't erased anything. Even my emails could still be read on the tablet after restoring it to factory settings.) Another part of this scam & criminal attempt to steal personal information is the fact that they often "lie" and falsify the storage capacity especially to enforce a sort of "breakdown" within the 2-3 months. With a "customer support", the user then return his/her devices with all his/her juicy personal information without knowing that it's still on the phone/tablet and the seller can just send another one back to collect more data.
The app at 3:32 is actually a secret menu added by the counterfeiter for resellers to change. A less than scrupulous reseller can make it look like as if it is the real deal, or be honest about its specs and make it report what's actually there. Depending on the device it can be accessed through a numeric code e.g. *#*#789789#*#* or something like that. I've tried out a counterfeit phone or two before so I can attest to that.
blakegriplingph Nice to know! This definitely helps for those buyers who are buying their iphones on Craigslist or even eBay. Thank you for your comments!
Techvarium You can use the app called Secret Codes by Firefly to access those hidden menus and such, fyi. ;) Also another thing to note, and I need not to stress this out, is that these phones typically contain malware, pushing ads up your throat, installs unwanted APKs without your consent, or worse. You could technically excise most if not all of them if you're so inclined, but still...
