Hi Daniel. Isn't it the median which divides data into 2 equal halves? In some cases median might be equal to mean(average). But the average(mean) doesn't always divide the data into two equal halves. So the middle guy who scored 60 is the median. Please help.

In a case where we had a cluster of smaller values and 1 really big value(king kong effect), the average would not divide our data into 2 halves :) But for competitive exams, such a dataset is not really given, since stats are not tested primarily :) I just went with the explanation, since it made it digestible.
