I am probably bias as a British citizen but i think every year on new year we display a message to the globe of unity and love. We acknowledge the major events of the year, acknowledge the future and display integration and shine a light on the different cultures, faiths and communities that live together here in harmony. Its like a big shot of love and positivity to the rest to the world and after the year that the UK has had its nice to see the world seating up and taking note. Its like a nice hug from the UK to everyone everywhere for unity, love and togetherness.
Can hear the music in person went in 2012 & 2019 & 2020 when was on the embankment in central London, the fireworks are actually choreographed around the music and speaking in last 21/22 shows hoping this year as got tickets for the show it’s going to go back to how was in 2020 with music choreographed n maybe some drones but not a mainly drone show
Typically if covid wasn't a thing and you went to London to see this event live there would be festival speakers on poles all the way down the embankment where you'd stand and they'd play the music that's in sync with the fireworks display but if you were watching it at home on tv then it would be the same as how you hear and see it now
I dont understand the new York ball drop sorry but it really is lsme compared to other places no hate ive been there and though it would be more than it was

The lights going the lions face and the globe ect is drones with lights on

The bells represent nothing, just the hour strike,and the tiny balls of light in the sky are drones with light
