Skillet has changed my life in amazing ways.
I know Skillet is a "Christain" band. I just want to state, I am an atheist and so much of their music is so easy for me to relate to. This song especially. It reminds me of one of my old friends from school. He'd let me go sit at his house when I didn't want to be in my own and we would just sit there and talk and laugh and joke about nothing at all. Because it WAS better than going mad. He's a huge part of the reason I'm still here. And even though we really don't talk anymore, he's always going to be a big part of my life. Even if you don't believe in God or Jesus or anything like that, don't forget that you can put different meanings to these lyrics. To me it's not something about God. It's about a friend who stuck by me through some of the crappiest parts of my life and stood me back up when everybody else pushed me down.

Maybe God put your friend there to help you through the rough times when no one else did, thats proof right there. Atleast you were fortunate enough to have a friend care for them but some people don't, so you shouldn't take it for granted because he just happened to be at the same highschool and you two met and became friends. Alot of people don't have friends, God knows everything you're going through and is loving .

One of the only bands that still sound amazing live
The only other band I can think that kind of quality live is probably is Type O Negative (just look at their performance on "Are You Afraid" on Bizarre fest)

This song has helped me in so many ways, but then it hurts as well. Because it reminds me someone who used to be my friend, and I hope one day will be my friend again.
He was the guy that I could talk to forever on the phone, when my other friends, would only talk to me as long as there is no one else around to talk to. I didn't have anything in common with the friends that would ignore me. (More in next comment)
