      kaczmarek3007 Samsung Galaxy S6 = looks and feels like a young, sexy girl.
      iPhone 6 = looks and feels like an old grandma.

      kaczmarek3007 The main difference between the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6:
      Galaxy S6 = high tech, uses high tech parts from the world's most technologically advanced companies like Samsung (the world's largest technology company) and also parts from other high tech companies like Sony and LG.
      iPhone 6 = low tech, uses outdated leftover scrap parts from the companies mentioned above.

      And that, my dearest friend, is the proof that most Android users are butthurt, insecure fanboys. On a Samsung phone review, the first thing yor hurt butt can think of is how much the iPhone, according to you, sucks. Stick to your Galaxy Fame, peasant.
      And this is coming from an HTC One M7, jailbroken iPad 3, Gaming PC, 2012 13" MacBook Pro Retina, PSP and other secondary gadget owner. I'm also planning to replace my phone with the SGS6. That means I'm not a (notice the poor grammar) "asshol fangirl!!!¡!1111one Iship;;;; open sorse ftwwwww." Brand loyalty is, seriously, the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

      FrenchVoyeur LMFAO! Apple has created loads and so have Samsung, saying Apple havent done anything is pathetic and childish, another Android fan trying to fuck off Apple, not going to lie this S6 looks ALOT like the new 6 and 6 plus, and that fingerprint sensor seems similar to.... i would just stop saying silly things if i were you, just like the phone for what it is, good products sell themselves and dont slate others.

    • @informativevegitation7183
      @informativevegitation7183 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh, FrenchVoyeur, it appears that you're one of "them."
      As far as specs go, Samsung, for the most part, is leaps and bounds ahead of iPhones.
      But my great disappointment is that Samsung has pretty much given up any hope of having a phone DESIGN of their own.
      In all honesty, sometimes I get the Samsung S6 mixed up with the latest iDevice.
      This was a blatant, open design copy directly from iPhones.
      Don't get me wrong, I would take this phone over an iPhone any day, but frankly, the S6 sucks.
      A lot.
      You claim that Apple is all about money and monopolies, but this is exactly what the Galaxy S6 is.
      They want you to pay MORE for more memory.
      They want you to pay MORE for a case.
      They want you to pay MORE for the phone in general.
      The S5 was the last USEFUL Samsung phone.
      They are now no better then iPhone.
      Also, I would like you to specify that your opinion is about Samsung *PHONES* and not Samsung.
      Almost every other device that Samsung creates in competition to Apple is horrible.
      Their tablets don't stand a chance, their computers are weak, and their software is HORRIBLE.
      That said, all of the Galaxy devices PRIOR to the S6 were "better" than iPhones (if you ignore running systems and skins that are pretty much unusably laggy).
      In my opinion, Samsung phones can't even touch how much better LG or HTC devices are.
      Even Sony.
      You make fun of iFanboys, but you yourself are no better, simply screaming from the other side.

    I'll keep this short...I love, love, LOVE this tablet. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS The picture quality is amazing and there are so many features that this technodino can't wait to learn! My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.

      Nexus 5 user here. I've taken to carrying around small external USB power banks with me when I'm away from charger for a while. The 32GB memory is manageable but for my next phone I'll probably go for 64GB or 128GB, which will be plenty for me. The Galaxy S6 is tempting me but I'm trying to wait until the end of the year to see whether Google puts out a refreshed Nexus 5. If not I'll get whatever is best at that point in time.

    • @flavius91
      @flavius91 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frankie Hiltz It's not just you. At first, I didn't even wanna hear about this phone. Then I actually started thinking and realized that I never needed more than 32 GB on my phone, thanks to Dropbox, and I NEVER EVER replaced, or had a spare battery. So I just decided to order this, fuck it. Wanted Note 4 at first, but better screen, better camera, better processor, better TouchWiz... Not worth it anymore.

    • @busixb
      @busixb 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Isaac Abraham Michael does a good job of optimism in his reviews while not holding back from the shortcomings. The software is what ultimately broke the deal for me and why I went with the Nexus. Firstly, 5.0-5.0.2 have issues as he experienced with memory regardless of how much RAM you have. 5.1 has given me none of the issues on a Motorola as I experienced on 5.0. So the current version combined with slower SW updates (yes slow is relative but I want them ASAP) and the UI force closes from random applications in my opinion is inexcusable in 2015.

    • @isaac_a
      @isaac_a 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you to an extent. The shortcomings for a Samsung device would nearly always be the lack of product support and software updates.
      Surely for the first few months they will take care of the existing issues that are widely spread such as 5.0.2, but in due time the S6 will be forgotten and left behind.
      Regardless, it is the mentioned battery life that I know for certain will make regret the purchase in the long haul, which is realistically about a year.

    • @busixb
      @busixb 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      1 year of normal charge cycles shouldn't impact the battery performance in a year if that is what you mean. Otherwise you imply you will get tired of charging it often? I agree, it is tedious and exhausting. I cannot blame them for releasing the phone with the latest available lollipop for the tech world would shun Samsung for waiting till 5.1 . It will be 3-6 months realistically until they provide an update assuming carriers don't hold back. Another reason I went with Nexus.

    • @isaac_a
      @isaac_a 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its not its not necessarily the hassle of having to charge the phone daily. But more of being in a real world situation where you are suffering the worst case scenario and your phone is nearly depleted because it was decided to play a seldom video game on the off chance.
      The Nexus series and what it offers is how other phone manufacturers should treat their flagship devices. My strongest buying points in purchasing would lie in the camera, fluidity of the software, reliant updates to keep to speed and battery life. But unfortunately Nexus devices always tend to pay little attention to the camera software.

    • @supercakefish
      @supercakefish 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richard Richard Yeah 5.0.1 was buggy as hell on my Nexus 5 with abysmal performance. Constant stutters, lags, background apps being unnecessarily killed, homescreen launcher redraws, app crashes etc. 5.1 is much, much better - but the infamous memory bug is still lurking there. I've had the phone completely bog down on rare occasions with 5.1 but it was a pretty much constant occurrence in 5.0.1. Lollipop's gradually getting where it needs to be, but still needs a bit more refining. The memory leak/background app killing bug needs to be obliterated once and for all.

    Man people are seriously underestimating the amount of people that don't like the fact that their no sd card or removable battery. When you download app and take a lot of pictures and videos and download music all that slows your phone down. At least with and sd card you can put all you music and video, pictures, and even some apps on to your ad card so it won't clog your phone down.

      ***** I remember I had the motorola photon back 2011. I ordered 2 extra batteries from amazon I would leave out and be gone all day when I got home I would still have one whole battery that wasn't used. And the batteries were thin I could put three of them in my side pocket and I feel them. I have a lg g2 now with a non removable 3000mah battery but I have to carry around a ravepower battery pack and it's kind of annoying. I just don't see how people don't care about this. So you got a carry around your charger everywhere you go and look for outlet. Plus companies like samsung and htc still for some reason refuse to a 3000mah or higher in their phones. Im not talking about phablets just the flagship s series and the htc one series phones.

    No no man don't blame android for Samsung's lag and app crashes. HTC's flagships never lag and rarely ever crashes apps. Nor does the Sony Xperia Z series. No no don't blame 'Android phones' for Samsung's mistakes.

    • @greylepoard
      @greylepoard 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not many Xperia's are running 5.0.2 or higher right now, which is where the complaints come from. And unless you own an M9 you can't make the argument for HTC either.

    • @Mariaandnorahh
      @Mariaandnorahh 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      But Michael didn't specifically relate the lagging issue with the latest software. He related it with 'Android' in general.
      But if he had, I would agree with you. Although I own an Xperia z3 running android 5.0.2 and it works just like it did on KitKat.

    Let me tell you why micro sd is superior to internal storage: In my country with the current exchange rate, the S6 32 gig model costs 821 dollars. The 128 gig model is 1210 dollars.
    The 32 gig model + a 128 gig sd card= 160 gigs of storage for 963 dollars.
    See? They ONLY dropped micro SD because they want more money. There is simply NO REASON AT ALL NOT TO INCLUDE A MICRO SD SLOT OTHER THAN WANTING MORE MONEY.
    Micro SD is superior to internal storage and anyone with a brain can see that. More storage for less money. And if the S6 had a 16 gig model, it would be 144 gigs with the SD card for about 150 bucks less. So you would pay 600 bucks and get more storage than the 1200 bucks model.
    And you can tell me that internal storage is faster, but that's another money bullshit. If manufacturers would start making storage as fast as they can possibly make them, they would cap out at around 400 mb/sec for sd cards. Yes, internal storage COULD go further, but at that point, it simply doesn't matter.

    • @MrAhmedamrazzam

      High quality sd cards r as expensive as higher variants.. And google doesnt allow installing apps to sd card anymore.. And it cause the phone to lag on long term.. Not really a big deal

    • @ast5515
      @ast5515 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Google doesn't have to allow installing apps to SD. Custom ROMs allow it just fine, I don't give a shit about how stupid Google is.
      It's once again, money. Google also makes more money by doing this, so they give other companies a reason to get more money.
      It's still stupid, pointless, money whore and sd cards are still superior, but there is A LOT of money involved in not using them.

    • @ast5515
      @ast5515 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** 16 gigs is enough, but a 16 gig phone usually only 12 available. I personally use about 20, so my example really was just an example, not my real world usage scenario.

    • @MrAhmedamrazzam
      @MrAhmedamrazzam 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok custom roms is sth very different.. i do now but wont when i buy the s6.. the quick camera is a killer feature that will make me stick to the stock rom

    • @ast5515
      @ast5515 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Well, some custom ROMs allow you to set actions for long press and double press.
      And The reason I don't buy Samsung is Knox. It makes rooting and flashing stuff stupidly difficult.

      I will. With a screen on time of only two hours I will be avoiding this. The only reason I'm ditching my S3 is because the battery is showing its age and the SD card slot is having issues. If the SD card slot was fine I would just buy a new battery and hold out for something better. Almost everything is better about the S6 over the M9 but the sound, battery life and processor. Battery life and good sound are important things to me.

    Good thing I'll still be using Go Launcher EX on this baby; been waiting on my platinum gold preorder for a few days. Any Galaxy fan will be excited for this phone, save for the low battery life and the app crashes. Hopefully there will be remedies for that; at least the phone will charge very fast to make up for less battery longevity. Doesn't sound too good considering we can't remove the battery to begin to if we ever need to replace it completely, but it can't be THAT bad. Only time will tell -- thank you for the unbiased video, Michael!

    Really good review Michael, very fair and honest IMO. I think the review also shows that there really is no perfect phone, Samsung have really stepped up on their hardware, display and camera, but software seems to have the same Touchwiz hiccups and the battery life does not seem to be of 2015 flagship expectation. Not to mention the omission of things that Samsung Knights held so dear.

    People complained that it was ugly and felt cheap, now they're complaining that it's fragile and doesn't have the features they liked, I liked all of the "gimmicky" features, and used them. Honestly, I want a Note 4 with upgraded specs instead of the Note 5, plastic is harder to break and cheaper to replace than glass.

    Very nice review michael. I have to agree with everyone. The s6 is one mighty phone. The great camera, super loud speaker are really what people look out for in new phone upgrades. Sadly it's battery can't get past 4 hours screen on time. Wishing to upgrade to something with 6-8 hours screen on time. My 5s does about 4 and charges just as fast I think. I find that just not enough confident for traveling.
