Thank you for sharing this...I lost so much hair due to covid...it hurt me so much because my hair was at it thickest and healthiest I've ever seen it. Honestly I've just decided to cut it, keep it simple, leave it alone. I thank God my hair is in a much better place now!

Blessings Sisters…..I’m a licensed hairdresser and YES, Covid caused my hair lost as well. I tried the coffee treatment which did slow down the shedding along with other oil treatments with cornrows and twists but the damage was done. Cutting off the dead hair is better bcuz it’s dead hair and will caused more breakage holding on to it. I’m doing the big chop also as soon as the winter season change. PLEASE do not use any developers over 20 on your hair sisters, that chemical is powerful even if you add a dark color dye to your hair. Make sure to intake vitamin A, D & B and biotin. So let’s all do the challenge again and this will be my first time with you all and looking forward to our hair regaining its lengthy status as MELANIN QUEENS🌹💐🌸🌺💕💜

Hi Sandra I had Covid in September 2021 and I lost about 10 inches of my hair. Thank you for sharing your story. Research hair loss due to Covid. Hair loss after Covid last for some time. The shedding will stop . I working with my hair too and yes it’s very disappointing. I need help too.
Same. I experienced the same due to covid. I was a complete mess over seeing my hair but I'm glad I am back to the rebirth growing stage.

What seems like a set back is actually a set up! 💕 I recently had to cut all my hair off due to an allergic scalp reaction to a hair product. Keep shining God's light. 💕

Hair has never perfected beauty. I to experienced this. I had grew my hair 3 years of long and healthy hair. I permed it and it became fragile and lots of shedding. Sandra, I love your honesty and I share your pain about losing your hair. My hair fell out because of excessive perms, stress and menopause. I had to learn how to take care of my hair. Thank you so much for sharing your hair journey. I stopped relaxing my hair in 2009 but continued to damage my hair by coloring my gray hair, flat ironing, and silk pressing my hair. Due to heat and color damage, I had to do a big chop last year to get rid of the damaged hair so I could do a wash and go with my natural hair. I have purchased my products and ready to embark on this hair transformation journey with you!

Seems like natural hair responds different to certain hairdyes. We live and learn. Think about that we with the afro textured hair must come up with the hairdyes that won't damage our hair since most of the hairdyes are not manufactured with the afro textured hair in mind. We have to put out there what works and what doesn't work for our hair texture.

I used to have a head full of thick and long hair. Over the last year, I’ve started noticing a great thinning of my hair and recently started combing out hands full of long strands. I’ve been praying and asking GOD to restore my hair and lead me to someone who could inspect my hair and scalp to determine the root of my hair fall issue(s).

I lost lots of my hair about 5 years ago, which was past my shoulders, due to overprocessing of a perm that my hairstylist put in! I was devastated! But it does grow back and now I have been perm free since then and it is now down to my bra strap and thick again. To those who are experiencing hair issues, just be patient and treat your hair like a precious plant and watch the transformation. ❤

I'm so sorry to hear this news but I'd love to see you restart your hair journey. I had 3 set backs and had to cut off 7 inches in 2020. I restarted my growth journey in 2021.

I am experiencing thinning of my crown area but I don't want to stop using the hair color even though I suspect that that is the culprit. I don't have anything else to use strong enough to color white hair. My hair grows out from my scalp like platinum blonde. It's ages me that why I color it . xoxo
A family pray together stay together. We will get through this together ma’am Gods plans never fails. On August of 2021 I was passed out in my car. The cause was a seizure But God was in the mist of it all. Today I can tell you and everyone else that God is Able to do anything and everything.
Just found you and I am on the journey with you. I gave up on color several years ago; I am70% gray. My issue is shedding and breakage but I have started to seek treatments. Starting protein treatments and covering my hair every night. Glad that I found your channel and subscribed.

First off thank you for sharing. I can only imagine what you are going through. I’m so very happy that you did not listen to those Beauticians and cut off your hair. I’m Praying for you, I know you will emerge victoriously. I’m thinking you might want to try whatever you did when you transition from relaxer to natural hair; also I noticed that when I wash my hair in other countries my hair gets dry and brittle after coloring it; your rosemary and fenugreek helped strengthen it and I also use lanolin a little glycerin to combat the dryness.
May God let it grow longer than before and it will be stronger in Jesus name sister it will be okay keep praying over your crown dear sister I love you thank you for the videos I'm rocking with you all the way sister

PTL Pastor, my hair started breaking & shedding 5 weeks ago. I took pictures after each wash of the big balls that was falling out. Last time this happen, I cut my hair to a TWA. I think mines may have been to the overuse of purple shampoo this time. But you encouraged me so much today. I started back with my rice water rinse, the ball of hairs is smaller. I do condition regular & the LOC method. no heat & wigs only on Sunday. I'm glad I found you. I JUST SUBSCRIBED!!!

This video isn't disappointing! We are all human and life happens. We have trails and tribulations but we are Overcomers. We are Victorious! Your hair will come back better and stronger than ever before.
I too went thru a similar situation although I didn't lose as much hair as you. I know that was devastating. I used to use henna to color my hair. However, the process was just so time consuming that I went back to commercials box dyes. That really did a number on my hair. This was about 3 months ago and I'm just now getting things almost back to where it was before I used the box dye.
So, just stay encouraged and know that God will bring back your crown and glory!
By all means continue to make your videos. We got to go through something to know something. Honesty is the best policy. And it's better than sugar coating. So now we just get ready for that comeback.
Pastor Sandra, I came across your channel while looking for a real solution to my problem. I started to have loss of hair after WLS. After being in denial of the super love and care my hair would need at that point, I decided to have hair color applied. I was trying to chase the grey away. Now I’m left with damaged hair and will be doing the Big Chop very soon. I plan to follow your journey in hopes of getting real solutions to getting my beautiful hair back too! The same thing happened to me last year in November. Against my better judgement I used permanent black dye on my hair I had put a relaxer in the previous month. I realized when my hair started coming out it was over processed. It didn’t feel mushy but it became thin and lifeless. I was at bra strap length. I did a big chop in January and took the clippers to my head with a No 3 clipper guard. I’ve started a natural hair journey. So I’m excited to see how it goes and for now I’ve decided against color just to see how I like the gray. Like you also, I have had Covid and I do believe that it thinned my hair some as well. I look forward to watching your videos.

Thank you for your openness. Last February 2021 I had a major hair loss setback due to many life stressors. After my initial panic, I went into prayer mode. The Lord then came to me in a dream and told me not to worry that my hair would grow back and flourish. I was led to follow your hair routines on your channel. Today I have a head full of hair and it continues to grow. God is AMAZING and Sis Sandra, you have been and still is a huge inspiration to me as well as to many others. So sorry Sandra! It will grow back-be strong. I use Natural Instincts ONLY! It last about 12 weeks. I use toppik for touch ups around the crown. 🥰
Back in the early 90's my cousin used 40 volume developer because I wanted a lighter hair color on my previously colored hair. The high volume developer on top of drugstore dye caused my hair to oxidize and look like hot melted hair right off my scalp and I was devastated. With time, patience and protective styling it grew back in no time. Developers/lifters are havoc on the hair!

I went thru a similar struggle with knots, tangles and accelerated dreading in my mid-50s. I discovered that chemicals in shampoos and conditioners had to balance or be from the same product line. If they differed, my hair would harden, dread and/or fall out in massive clumps. I didn't have much gray, so I only dyed once every 3 months. A hairdresser friend advised me to wash and condition (oil-free) my hair 3 consecutive days after coloring to break down the chemicals from the dye, because my hormones and age were also factors. Big difference. I started eating healthier, taking vitamins and co-washing with home made products from my kitchen (because you need to take care of the inside too), my hair improved 90 percent. I have learned to be very careful with shampoos and conditioners with ingredients that I cannot pronounce. I really love my hair and yours too! You may not need to cut it. Just nurse it back to health with God's ingredients. Hope this helps. Be blessed!!!
