- Join us on a family adventure walking the Southern Ramparts of the Old City Walls in Jerusalem! We'll pass by the Kishle, Mount Zion, Dormition Abbey, Zion Gate and so much more in this big overview of the Armenian and Jewish Quarters of the Old City!

This is so very interesting to me! Thank you for sharing. What is the linear distance that you walked? What size area does this wall cover? About how long does it take to leisurely walk it? That's A LOT of steps! And some are SO steep!
H! I'm glad you enjoyed this! The Southern Ramparts is 1.2 Kilometers. It covers the distance from the Jaffa Gate to Temple Mount. I'm not sure exactly what that area is but its pretty expansive! It took us about 40-45 min to walk it with some breaks and playing. I didn't edit out a whole lot because I wanted to give a feel for the true length and experience. Personally I think the walk is really comfortable. Most people do the Northern (1.7 K) and Southern walks on different days of their trip because all together its a much bigger walk and a lot of information to take in. I'm sorry I didn't include this in the voice over!
