Nadal takes off his frustration by making sure his bottles labels are facing the right way
I think I am going to try that. When I get frustrated line up those labels!
I love him so much for his insane mental toughness
We love him too, especially for his honesty and transparency. He's nervous, he doesn't feel calm, but he makes conscious choices as we all can do if we train this. Mental strength through kindness is possible! H5 and #friendlyeyes Jackie Reardon
He also gives his all everytime and he is a great example of being a fair player. Hope he can play for many more years to come.
This is such an awesome approach, I've never thought about body language as one of the very few things you can fully control in a tennis match.
Forget tennis: an excellent life lesson here from Rafa.
No

Well said sir, acceptance is peace!
The best player of all time mentally and maybe the greatest athlete of all time mentally since tennis sets the bar so high in terms of mental strength, resilience, self awareness and control.
Please don't think he is better at tennis than Djokovic though
i' m a Federer fan, i prefer even Djokovic way of playing than Nadal, but Rafa is the best fighter of all time.
He has the best behavior when he steps into a court, no racket broken, always focused and ready to fight, the best ever on it !
Rafa is the master of mindfulness.
Some people are acting in such a way to make you angry. Don't let them by happy by losing your calm.
As a complete athlete competitor and role model he is simply the greatest of all time
In pro tennis that case can be made because he's never smashed a raquet in anger where Fed and Djokovic have done..Rafa has a great temperament, he's extremely competitive on court and he's not a jerk off court because of that..he's a polite gentleman.
@@Kidgloves1984 you are not a jerk for smashing your racket. Players get their anger out that way. Do you now how frustrating it is to play on that level? You cant judge a person by some of their actions. That makes you the jerk
I never said specifically that someone is a jerk for smashing racquets, some of my favorite players smash/smashed racquets.
@@I_am_a_dirty_sinner A jerk is actually someone who calls another person a jerk when they have not insulted that person.
@@mars27970 A jerk is actually someone who implies that another person is a jerk for assuming that a third person is a jerk when they havent insulted someone
LEGEND! Amazing physicality and strong mentality!
Amazing that he won another 6 majors after this
Aside from the Goat debate, this guy is at least already labeled the best clay court player to ever exist, along with being in the top 3 men to ever walk on court. Hes an inspiration to the game of tennis and will always be
RaFa is the greatest mentality in any sport ❤
Absolute class ❤
Makes you respect him even more
Body language as a precursor to mental health and calm. Researcher Amy Cuddy wrote on something similar.
Love him
the great Rafa
Andy Murray needed this video 15 years ago.
The master of mindfulness
Just don't have negative body language, Rafa said aggressively.
Goat of clay courts. It’s not even close
And this is what distinguish a Champion from a normal player, from a Federer fan
If I played tennis the way he did I would be always calm
You don't get to play that level of tennis by being calm lol
I'd be CALM also when I know to win a Slam I have to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Karen_McAlllister Nice identical comment! Very insightful
@@cizzorzsonandy9773 Holla Rafa fan girl, how you doooin' ? 😅
Not to take anything away but playing Anderson in a slam final when you´ve played Djokovic and Federer must be pretty calm for him
I'd be CALM also when I know to win a Slam I have to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Karen_McAlllister Hahaha you know that means those seeded players beat the higher ranked players
@@cizzorzsonandy9773 Nah, it still means Rafa was lucky AF to not face a single TOP 10 player nor TOP 20 for that matter. And that's not his only time :D
@@Karen_McAlllister meh, it happens to all the the top players. That is how seeding works sometimes.
He was calm because he was playing Kevin Anderson...
So Djokovic panicked cause he was playing Schwartzman?! lmao
Clueless but nice try.
True that. I'd be CALM also when I know to win a Slam I have to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Karen_McAlllister ahh, i see ... you only know how to cut and paste ...
Spoken like a champion.
Great insight. Negative body language works against you, therefore, why engage in it. Shouting or swearing doesn’t help so refrain from doing it.
Nadal when asked about peanut butter: "Jif jif jif...does not exist"
0:23
The guy who asked the question has definitely been in tennis media for decades and thinks he’s all that, cannot stop laughing at bro
Así se piensa un campeon...¿Verdad?
Which round of the 2018 us open was this?
It was 2017, after the final against Kevin Anderson.
@@HarmanSingh1 thanks
@@HarmanSingh1 Ranked 28th LOL No wonder he's calm, I'd be CALM too when I know to win a Slam I have to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Karen_McAlllister Still a final tho. Nadal was extraordinarily calm, even given in the circumstances, hence the question from the reporter.
@@HarmanSingh1 Well done for Rafa that
lucky duck :D
No?
Fake it til you make it basically
He's calm because he got his devils horns on his head
Nah, he's CALM because he knows to win USO17 he had to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
I'd be CALM also when I know to win a Slam I have to face just 2 seeded players RANKED 28th and 32nd. 🤣🤣🤣
Widges
😂
Why does he pick his but than smell his fingers. Is what we all want to know
Novak just gets angry lmaoo
Thing is with novak he releases his anger as it helps him, Rafa simply bottles it up and is able to forget, both ways work well obviously as we have seen in their careers :)
@@__last I know is going to sound weird but it's like this:
Nadal = Jedi
Djokovic = Sith
My man is Novak, but I have the same respect for Rafa, his mentality is relentless.
@@MellonCollie007 They have different ways to release anger or control it, both champs
Rarely
Apt
Gosh these journalists... way too irritating... one Rafa despite his imperfect vocabulary and grammar in english... is far far better than this crowd who only know to act dramatic in their questions...
I don’t understand? This was actually quite an impressive and valid question that requires Rafa to explain his psychology which is so different from let’s say djkovics mentality but they both have achieved great success
That was a really good question!
Stupid comment
The GOAT!
How can you even claim that
GOAT of Clay only ;)
23>>>22>>>20 😅
There's a new sheriff in town - GOAT Djokovic 🤫
@@Karen_McAlllister nadal clay goat djokovic goat.. You already said it
@@Karen_McAlllister hes a has been. Carlos and Sinner will retire him the poor serb.
He fakes a knee injury, until his opponent gets frustrated and then wins the game.
