I will have to use the FM transmitter function in my wife's car as it is very old, but as it is a sh*t tip the look of the wires won't matter. BTW. there is so much misinformation out there about DAB. "Digital" isn't better than FM it is just a different technology. Plus it was only introduced as a government revenue thing. Shove loads of commercial stations into a small bit of radio spectrum at low bit rates, earn revenue, then eventually sell off FM bandwidth to generate more revenue. It is always about money never "quality". Cheers.
Good review but the magnetic fitting for aerial fits to metal of car body.... do we just place it on painted metal or do we have to bare the paint to stick to bare metal????????????????
I just got one but now realise my car doesn't have auxiliary input! Trying the alternative set up does nothing. The actual device has found the stations but there's no audio, any help appreciated
Hi al, I had the exact same model that Aldi were selling. Worked ok in the local area but I found further a field trips very frustrating. Got rid in the end as I found it kept distracting me when cutting out when I should have been concentrating on driving. Lots of neat features. You should hard wire something a bit cleaner in the glove box using a piggy back fuse to create a new circuit, much less clutter :)
I bought the aldi one too and the dab signal kept dropping out so I bought a amplified roof dab aerial that didn't get a signal at all. I'm hoping a pure highway model will be a better unit 🤔
On my cheap car mp3 player, if i turn off the ignition and turn it back on again, the mp3 track starts from the beginning. This is very irritating when you are doing very small journeys. Does this do the same thing? or will it continue where it left off? I have been looking for an mp3 player that fixes this problem plus displays the song and title on the screen. I don't care much for radio these days since main stream media always comes with a large dollop of bullshit!!

I've got one of these . It's good but how do you turn it off? Atm it's lit up all the time even win the ignition is off (not good signal to would be thieves!) The Directions/handbook don't cover a standby feature or switching off in any way. Is there a way anyone?
it isn't magic, it'll go off when the cigarette lighter power goes off. Your car has issues if the cigarette lighters are kept on when you leave the car!
I hate these bulky aftermarket products. They're clunky with wires running all over the place, even when partially hidden behind facias. They also attack opportunist thieves if left on display in cars.

I have a 2007 Honda Jazz and it has the analogue radio and it loses signal alot, will this help?

Press and hold the 'phone' button for a couple of seconds to turn it off.
@@MichaelFlatman not really cars over a certain age will have a constant live on the 12v socket, that's just the way it was!
Do you know if im listening to DAB on it, will it do handsfree, like automatically switch from the DAB sound to the Bluetooth sound?

Does it have a dual tuner? Will it automatically populate with new stations as I enter a new area or would I need to rescan manually?
It does not have a dual tuner and you do have to rescan.
