Love how real and authentic you are! Be proud of what you've accomplished. Most of us are all still here on our couches wishing we were doing what you already are! Enjoy living in FREEDOM! All the best to you.
Not many women like you these days!! Besides beautiful which is a bonus but your awesome and creative and down to earth 🌎 😀 I don't think I could do what you have with your amazing Wheel Estate! It's yours and you built it!! That's something truly special.
You listed all the reasons that your build makes sense. Ultimately, YOU'RE HAPPY WITH IT. If you can live with it, you can LIVE with it. And, as you well know--as ALL nomads know--you can change anything you want any time you're ready to. I teach scuba diving out of our 6x10 cargo trailer, but we've slowly retrofitted it for off-grid. So far, we're quite happy with it. Is it ideal? Nope. But as long as I'm still teaching classes, it has to meet two purposes. Which it does. So, your van meets your must-haves and "happy accidents" give it the flavor. Well done.
Thank you for saying that! There’s just so many luxuries 5-star looking vans out there that intimidate me sometimes, but to your point… mine has flavor ;)
@@SarahShamblin Betty Bear's Nomadic Travels demonstrates how really unique someone can approach a conversion. She has quite a few touches that just set her trailer apart.
I love it when someone borrows begs and buys tools they have never used before and build a conversion van. Huge respect. I have lived with a saw and drill my hand and am still nervous about my build. Happy travels
Hey, nice to see you posting. I caught a few when you were building. Great job ! Very ambitous and the van came out awesome. I think Schimitup is a miss spelling. It is SchuttphucUp. 😁 Just saying. I've watched so many of these vid for so long. Including a poo load of sailing channels. So many doers have those kind of toilets, even full showers and don't use them for the same reason. The counter came out very good. Alot of wood working benches have that type of recess in the rear. Fist time ever I saw in a van. Excellent idea !! Thanks for sharing. Now I remember. Using a jig saw to rip boards. You struggled some with the electrical system. Framing you thought sucked. But it all came out so well. I think your style is more of van camping not living in a tiny apartment with wheels. And that is to be admired.
Btw, when Brandon stays with you in your van for a week, he'll help you fix all your minor problemss i.e. drawer, etc, he's pretty good with that kinda stuff. ok, fine I watched the video already. :P
I enjoyed your tour, really great. I don't think I can even build a van even close to yours. You've personalized it very well just to fit your needs. Love watching your van life vlogs, you cool too.
I really love your honesty in this video about your van 🚐 life even if bed is not made love it 🥰 love you and your beautiful puppy 🐶 love your number one Aussie family friend John ❤❤please stay safe and healthy too
The best part about the van...you built it yourself 👍. Side note...if you find yourself in need of a personal assistant to manage those wardrobe malfunctions (IG post...lol), I got ya. Additional skills include carpentry, cooking, video, editing, dog parent and a few others. Heck, I might even do windows if ya ask me nicely. 😂 Looking forward to the next adventure.
Love the van tour. Found you from Brandon's vlogs. You two were hilarious. One thing you might want to look into getting. Amazon has these $99 small energy efficient wireless camera systems that you can install above the rear and door side of your van. They have a small 7" LCD screen that you can monitor them with. the screen also can show temperature and time. Some even have a DVR and wifi connectivity so you can connect to it directly via your phone and even record while you are away. the cameras are tiny and have IR night vision.
Great video, just enough editing to make it flow, but still feel genuine. I just got back from a week in a camper, and really loved the de-plugging aspect and the life. It seriously has me considering taking the leap. The main issue I have is that I am quite active and focused on my recovery & fitness, and my Whoop gave pretty bad recovery & HRV scores for my sleep. I am simply not able to get high quality sleep in the environment due to the temperature & size of the bed. That is my biggest draw back from wanting to do the van life.
Thanks for taking us through the van, you have done an amazing job and have learned a ton on the journey. Keep on top of the maintenance as the little things become big things when left. You really did a good job and should feel proud of yourself 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Also just think later down the road or if you get another vehicle you can always improve from the original design. As do a lot of people especially when they lived the lifestyle for a long period of time. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

I'm going to do the same thing. Bought most of the essentials other than lumber and insulation, but I'll get that when I'm at that stage in building. I have a bed frame, fridge, maxair fan, some solar and electrical, and a sprinter van, gonna do a gypsy beach van semi-build just so I can use it while I save for more expensive building.
