Love the video bud and thanks for the comment on the art. The city itself is in the process of regeneration so may look a tad run down but its work in progress. Lovely to hear your positive outlook on it, it really is a beauty by the sea 😊
Hi Jossie, I just checked out you channel and subscribed. Love what you;re doing in Bangor. We're heading back over sometime in the summer. Can;t wait to see waht's new . Thank you for the great comment
@ no probs bud. I shared your vid on my page, so a good few Bangorians will see it. I will have to get over an visit New Jersey. Watched a Giants game before in the MetLife which was awesome
@@JossiePopsArt Wow, thank you, that is kind of you. I can;t wait to show my girls, we all love your art, . I'll have to connect with you, the goal is to get back there this summer :) What did you think of the metlife stadium, its pretty intense , Go J-E-T-S 😉
Hi there, Jossie! I'm his wife. It was lovely to see where his ma" is from. People thought we were crazy. They were like, "What on Earth brings you to Bangor?" It's a quiet and laid-back town. YOUR artwork is also amazing, you have blessed hands.
@, I really appreciate that. Yeah, the place used to be a hub about 20 years ago but like a lot of seaside towns in the UK it has been left for a slow death. Thats why the vid was refreshing as it showed it still has beauty regardless of the rundown areas. I hope to produce more art here soon and hopefully draw a bigger crowd like that Gerard Butler piece did
What a beautiful town and country. How cool it must be for you to be in your mom's hometown. Very nice picture of her with friends and family on your last visit. I love your attitude on life and wholeheartedly agree with you...we all need to be kind to one another. I really admire how you are able to just strike up very cool conversations with the locals. Amazing the Tower House still stands after all this time. I was just filming at the Lumberville-Raven Rock bridge over the Delaware River this morning and I commented on the stone abutments being original from the 1800's and how amazing it is that so many structures from long ago still stand. So, when you pointed out the same thing about the tower I just had to smile. 🙂
Hi There, thank you for the kind words. I do believe in being kind, although practicing it is not always easy. Im going to check out your Lumberville-Raven Rock video. All the best
Ha, yes, we can't help ourselves. When im wandering around I talk to so many people, some folks didnt want to be on video. Thanks for checking out this video and supporting as always :)
6:57 That is not Pickie Fun Park, it is further around the marina. This is a temporary funfair that only exists in summer. Pickie is a permanent fixture. You will find many places closed on a Sunday morning.
Hiya, what house was it on Southwell Road where your mother was born? I live in 43 and my partner was confused when he seen you taking the photo. Can’t believe I stumbled across this, loved the video.
@@debbiejones6014 hi Debbie! Mom lived 45 southwell road. We love Bangor, hoping to get back to visit this summer . Thanks for checking out the video . We’re looking into my moms family in Bangor “Lennon “ happy new year
Hi Steve, Mom's maiden name is Kilkenny, although her mom's maiden name is Lennon. Oh wow, is the grocery store still there? I have to do more research before we come back in the summer.Thank you for the kind comment
Hi there! The next time we visit, we're going to slow down and spend time savoring the area. Ballyholme Beach sounds like a great place to explore. thank yo for the great suggestion
Bangor isn't the same town it used to be. The town centre is is lacking the buzz it had when I was growing up here in the 50s/early 60s. Now the centre has hardly any shops now probably because of out of town shopping centres and Internet shopping. My mum grew up across the road from where you were at 15:45 it's a sad reflection of what it used to be.
I guess i dream of renaissances in places like Bangor. One day people will get bored of staring at their phones and TVs and want get out and be around people again.
