    Do you ever wonder if I end up on regular flights with other TH-camrs? It does occasionally happen. Like here, when myself and @Lunadog99 ended up on the same Southwest flight, only one seat away from each other. You can find his video, from the row in front of me, here: th-cam.com/video/ZHjeiz7P9aU/w-d-xo.html
    Be sure to check out the rest of his channel too. He has tons of airline reviews, but also has a great selection of full flights like you’ll find on my channel!

    When I watched both of y’all’s videos, I was confused on who’s video I watched. The thumbnails on both videos were exactly taken at the same point. I was like, “Didn’t I just watched same video?, Is Bryce trying to steal Lundogs Video? Then, I looked at your pin comment and found that you both were on the same flight 😂🤣

    1:39:53 The dark shadow casted on the clouds was because of the solar eclipse right?

      No, this was just regular weather conditions haha. Although this was on the day of the eclipse, it was long over at this point.

    I have a love-hate with flying. it's completely amazing we can fly the way we do and the views we get are beyond dreams. At the same time, I just watched the Japan airlines crash where the bulkhead blows and everyone dies... it freaks me out that stuff can happen anytime and there's no hope of survival.

      It is true that when disaster strikes in aviation, it's often catastrophic. However, I always remind people that it is still easily and by far the safest way to travel. You have a bigger chance of being struck by a bus crossing the street to the terminal than you do of being involved in an incident onboard an aircraft. The aviation industry has learned many hard lessons over the years that has made it incredibly safe today.

    • @rixxy9204
      @rixxy9204 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sla31 ikr, it's ridiculously safe. Even looking at these historical accidents today, a huge number of them could have been simply avoided if they had GPS.
      In the end though I'd say 90-95% are pilot caused... kinda depressing that's still the case today.

    I just finished watching a sci-fi movie called Deceived (2002) where some scientists pick up what may be signals from an ET, and now, I'm watching your latest flight video. Now THERE'S a movie you should watch.
    I went to IND back in January 1979.
    This was right after Chicago got clobbered by that humungous blizzard during that super-cold brutal winter (1978-1979). I was flying from LGA to ORD, but ORD decided to close down, so we were diverted to IND. There, after a long wait, we were put on buses which went up I-65. Each driver had a different CB ID. Ours went by Happy Pappy, and he was the lead driver, giving periodic advisories of the current road conditions. He would say "back on ice, back on ice" to the other driver. And he also knew how to outflank the big traffic mess at one of the highway exits.
    He made a stop at one of the hotels in Downtown Chicago at 11 at night to drop a few people off and then took the rest of us to ORD. After some pleading, the airline ticketing agent put me up for the night. Jeez, that airport was total chaos that night.
    The next morning, it was clear, sunny and 10 below zero outside. After seeing that all of the flights to Madison, WI had been cancelled, I took the Alco Bus, which was a brand new bus service between Madison and ORD, and get up there that afternoon. It was 5 degrees that afternoon, and it was 28 below that morning.
    That was my one and only visit to IND.
    Anyhow, another fine video on your part. Remember that it's 7 years per hours on these flight, so make every second count.

    Great fly! What is the longest drive that you did so far without taking break? For me, just yesterday, when I drove Knoxville to Chicago, I stopped at Louisville, Kentucky for a break before resuming to drive for remainder of the trip for weekend travel.

      @sla31  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, I really don't know my friend. I've done some long drives and road trips before, but I couldn't tell what the longest distance between stops was. Probably like my house to Denver. That's like 10 hours.

    love the high quality footage, may I ask, where do you attach your camera/tripod? I was recently told off by the crew at both China Airlines and EVA and they requested me to remove my suction cup that I attached to the window. I am looking for a better solution to take videos of my flights. Thank you

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be attached to my right or left hand, depending on which side of the aircraft I'm on haha. I hold the camera by hand, even on long flights. Partly because half of the airlines out there yell at you if you use a mount, although that's not the main reason. Avoiding vibrations is the main reason.

    I have a question too sorry to bug how do you add those time things on your videos so you can see that section like for example takeoff 3:33

    • @sla31
      @sla31  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No worries my friend. I don't mind answering questions. TH-cam calls those "chapters" and to get them to show up you have to have timestamps listed in your description staring with 0:00. Having 0:00 is what TH-cam uses to pick up on chapters and it then looks for anything after 0:00. Which is why I always list "Intro - 0:00" even though it's obvious that's what it is. If that wasn't there, TH-cam wouldn't pick up on the rest.
