The real purpose of getting into IISER is to pursue your interest in science and research. Its not for making money. If you’re interested in money, this place is not for you. This place is for passionate young minds who really really love science. People who go there for “money making” purpose end up having a pretty difficult time. You wont be able to enjoy it. So we don’t think much that what we are going to do in the future. We just try to enjoy what we do in the present. I really hate it when yall ask “how much stipend are we gonna get”, “ what are the placements” etc etc.
Take these words as a token of gratitude cause I’m not playing around I’m serious. You’re gonna have the worst time in your life if your main intention is “salary” and not “science” if you go there.
(Ps: This is an advice for especially high school students)
I don't want hefty placements or anything but I only have my mother with me and I have to get independent financially I just want to know will I get enough money to survive nicely while persuing my passion?
Yes very well said... Its so true... I always feel like getting all the knowledge and knowing more and never worry abt money... But my parents do care bcz ofc every parent wants a better future for their child.... But money is nothing compared to this great job... I would really love to getting into teaching or research even if i get an engineering degree... These jobs r very powerful and important for a country acc to me...
@@sonalkadam7338 Yes its true... my dream is to become astrophysicist but parents don't want as they thought there is no scope in future and i will end up like nothing ...but my interest is in space researchand studying astronomy...literally i don't know what to do now ....

yea it's similar to neet but questions are a little more difficult
There is hardly any fundamental research in India. IISER can be a good stepping stone for going abroad for Ph D and thereafter settling there, of course for those who have research aptitude in basic sciences.

While you do PhD abroad they provide Stipends 😊
1. PhD students in India as well as abroad are being provided with a stipend.
2. Your rank should be within 15000 in the common rank list.
3. It depends, I suggest attempting both.

Pls don get influenced ,know the reality...interviews of BARC ,ISRO are of JEE ADV lvl..if u think u come from niser and would easily crack it,,,no . People from IISC,IIT also apply for interview. And yes u have to study 12 yrs science now.
