Great info! For a simple air tickets , does it make sense to charge a service fee, considering the fact that after addition of that fee , ticket price might easily surpass any other online price
Thanks for watching! Several years ago, the airline industry stopped paying commissions to travel agents. Most companies now charge a small service fee on all airline tickets. You are able to add a service fee to the price of your client’s ticket. While you can sell airline tickets as a travel agent, we don’t encourage you to focus your business on selling air.
Determining your service fee is entirely up to you as a business owner. We suggest considering a few factors: -what is your average planning time? -who is your key demographic? -what is your niche and how often to sell outside of that, requiring additional education and research? We find typical service fees range from $50-$200.

Congratulations! Happy to hear this has been going well!

What's a good number for a planning fee that's what I struggle with.
