I bought this mop a few days ago and omg! I love it!!! I love that it does not drip water all over the place! It has literally saved me time/ saved my back!
Great review! If you straighten it before you put it in the bucket, while it’s still on the floor, you can use your foot to step on it while you straighten the handle. 💜
Thank you for such an awesome review. At first I though, who's talking about a dang mop for 14 minutes, but then I watched the whole video! Thanks again.
Oh ThriftasticMom, I can't thank you enough. I too bought this mop because my Walmart was out of the Hurricane Mop. I wasn't sure how to use it and your video helped me sooo much. It was so nice of you for taking the time to show us this! I came here for this video, but now I'm having a blast watching ALL of your videos. People like you make the world brighter for everyone! Thanks so much!!!
Loula Lucille Awe, thank you so much sweetie! I hope enjoy your mop as much as I do mine, I love it!! I'm glad you are watching and enjoying my videos and I appreciate you watching!!
I tried my mop for the first time last night and was ultra impressed with it! Again, thanks so much for all you do. I know you have a busy life and to take the time out to help strangers...well, you are just an angel!
I appreciate your thorough review. Your review actually persuaded me to purchase this wonderful mop. I love this thing. I just wanted to add a small tip if I may. I noticed that you mentioned sometimes you have use your hand to straighten out the mop head before spinning it out. I found a way to avoid this is by pressing down firmly on the mop while it is in the water before placing it in the spinner. This will straighten out the mop head and it will spin much easier. Hope this helps!
Did she say after washing about 10 times in the machine you should buy a new one? If you wash your mop after use like I do, I'd be buying a new head every fortnight?? Maybe I misunderstood what she said??
I like that you review things you really bought, rather than things that were sent to you for free to review. I'm sure it makes it easier to be impartial.
I can’t believe I just watched a 14 minute video about a mop! Lol. Thanks for the review. I think I want to buy it now. Love your accent too . Reminded me of Truvy in Steel Magnolias.
I also bought one. It's a very good one.I like it very much. It's been two years now since I bought it.The problem now is that the basket won't spin anymore because the small plastic gear underneath the pedal worn out and has to be replaced. The replacement part is not available.
THANKS FOR THE DEMO O Cedar Spin Mop. I was wondering what I was doing wrong since it was not wringing out dry. I was not pumping the lever long enough. Thanks again.
I’m thankful for this review. I’ve always had just a swifter with wet pads but since we’ve moved we have a much bigger kitchen and entryway and a second bathroom so I feel like I’ve been using too many of those wet pads. Been looking for an actual mop and been considering this one so this review really solidified my decision.
I have this mop, and so far I'm happy with it. I like the price difference from the Hurricane, and you are right, I hate having to adjust the joint as well. After tonight's mop, I'm going to toss it in the wash by itself on delicate. I feel a good three time cleaning per washing machine wash could last for a good two months until you need to replace. Overall, nice mop.
I have one too and i love mine. I have laminate flooring that can't get too wet so I love being able to spin out all the water. It's perfect. I mop way more often now that I have this. A standard mop used to kill my back to wring it out. You also only need to press the pedal about 5 times instead of the 20 that you're doing. I love this mop.
Racquel Newton I hear that the Hurricane is a good one too but I went with Ocedar because it was cheaper. I don't know if you have a Ross store where you live but I seen the Hurricane mop there for $19.00 dollars that's the cheapest I have seen them anywhere.
I have one of these mops and I do not spin as many times you do I only do four spins. Also I think if you put the pointy part facing the point shape when placing it in the spin top section (like a puzzle piece) you won’t have the situation of it not sitting in straight. Try it, I think it will work better for you. I use a little less than a cap full of Murphys oil in the water and it cleans my tile floors great. The con for me on the mop is I feel the handle is too short, and I am only 5’ but feel the handle is too short, even after the adjustment of the pole to its longest. I feel like I have to bend over, while mopping, where as a regular mop handle is longer. Did you notice that? But other than that it cleans great.
I purchased this same one but the hinge looks a little different (newer model possibly??) and so far I’m not liking the mop at all! The telescoping handle doesn’t stay put and the attachment head popped off on me once already. The mop head doesn’t stay flat on the floor (probably because the hinge is tighter than this one) and just flops around on the floor and scrapes the floor. The bucket is awesome though!!
I have one of these and its one of the best buys I've ever made. The problem you have with the tight joint may be exclusive to you as my mop head rotates freely. I just wanted to point that out so people wouldn't think a tight joint was an inherent problem with this product. Also, while spinning the mop head, be firm but don't get crazy with it!
This is an Amazing Product..... The reason it can't totally rinse out the colors is because they are artificial colors a d dyes in the ketchup and mustard
I've had this for awhile, but never read the directions, I was looking for a video to take the mop head off to wash, so now I got all the info on how to use it also, thanks!
Thank you for a great review. I was looking at other mops, typically a sponge one and they seem to not vacate most of the water. I have to clean hardwood floors, however leaving water on the wood is not good. So it's nice to be able to minimize the water on the floor's surface.
I loved your video! This is the first one I've seen from your channel, and honestly, when you said "oh no! The mustard got jealous. It had to come out too!" I loved the humor and that's when I subscribed :) Also, when you finish drying the mop, if you place it on the floor like you're about the mop, you can use the tip of your shoe/foot to straighten it out. I use this technique with my O Cedar and I have to say I love it because I literally never have to touch the mop head! All of that aside, I liked your review/tutorial and I look forward to seeing some of your other videos!
Lol, thanks girl! I was just being me in that video. lol I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing! lol I'm glad you enjoyed watching it and I sure do appreciate you watching! Thanks for subscribing, you are a new neighbor now, that's what I call my subscribers, so welcome to the family! lol
Hi. Thanks for a quite informative review. I ordered the mop first and then I decided to watch your video. You are very thorough in your information. Thanks again. Mil.
thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave this review I just bought me a hurricane mop and was really wondering how well it worked before I actually used it because it is $40 and I do have 5 kids so if I don't got to spend that kind of money on a mop then I'd rather not but if it saves me time to spend with my kids then I'm down and what you showed me it appears it will so thank you :-)
Thanks thirfty😘 you did a fine job promoting the unit. And I know the company is looking for more ways to make money but to me maybe I old fashion but I still use the old bucket and wringer. For one thing the bucket and mop seem a little on the small side. To clean 3 bedroom 2 bath home would take quit awhile. Looks more like an ice cream or butter maker😊
Nice review...Anybody else have problems getting the thing to stay in extended position ?? I'm going for the duct tape...Wish you'd shown that part first.
Thanks for such a detailed review. It really helped.I was searching for a long time to get a mop but your review really helped me decide.I am going to buy one today. Thanks again!!
I just bought this today at Family Dollar and it came with a free OCedar Broom! Same price $29.99. The mop bucket is a little on the heavier side than I am accustomed to but that is because of the wring mechanism which is on the draining side of the bucket. It's easy to use and efficient. I would use this for general mopping. If I have a mustard mess, I use my Mr. Clean sponge mop which is great for a small, quick clean up then I would follow up with the Spin Mop. That will save the life of the spin mop head. Thanks for the review!
Good to know cheaper than hurricane. What about any Canadian review?! I goodled the o cedar spin mop. In walmart. What comes up is the Vileda Brand. And costs same as Hurricane.
Interesting idea! It would be good on satin to glossy finishes like bathrooms etc...I would spin the heck out of it and clean some walls. Better than by hand. Genius idea!
I purchased this at my local Target store last night. I like the simplicity of not only putting the mop head on, but also how easy the whole system is. The Target, Walmart, and Amazon online prices show the cost to be $29.99. However, both Walmart and Target have the in store prices at $33.99. I talked to the check out guy at Target and he gave me the $29.99 price. The Amazon reviews for this are very good. The Target and Walmart in store replacement heads on this are $7.99, but I think you can find a better price on Amazon. (however, the mop head can be used and also washed in the wash machine about 10 times, so that really is economical considering you are not machine washing this until you have used it a number of times). Looking at this, it is probably possible to also buy a less expensive small mop and try it out with this. They have them for $1.72 at Walmart, but I don't imagine they are as good). Again, thank you for posting this. It helped me.
If the spinner dpins and the mop spins, how does it get dried out to use it. Mine just sping along with the spinner. Its like the mop is on a merry go round going for a fun ride. There is SO much water! Ive just adjusted, we let tge floor dry for a very long time before we go back. I hate mine. Im going to try anither brand
Great video. Thanks for sharing, and thank you for showing the difference between advertising hype and everyday use. Yes, I did purchase one and somehow expected everything you proved in the video to be the case before I bought it. But like you say, it's a good mop for everyday use and not outrageously priced. Bleach may help to keep it sanitary, as your video notes.
I wish the mop was one solid stick instead of being collapsible, sometimes when I'm mopping the stick goes in. Wish it would lock in place. Do you know what I mean?
Thank you for reviewing this product! This is such a helpful video and is exactly what I wanted to see. You answered all of my questions except well 2 related to the price. I keep "eyeing" this product when I'm shopping, but the price-tag is a little daunting for a mop and I keep hoping someone else will design something similar, but for less $. The price is higher now 2 years later. I wish I could find a coupon or they would be on sale here in Superior, Wisconsin where I shop. Have you see any coupons for this O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System? Have you ever seen them on sale?
I bought two of these but although I thought I was getting O'cedar spin mop it just came titles Vileda Spin mop. I live in England UK so don't know what the difference is. Mine does have a little gap lip in the front so you can empty the water out through it without splashing, Yours does not seem to have that, other than that, as they both look identical but the name.
well clearly IF there were (and there could be ) two separate compartments and the cleaning fluid would be less contaminated IF there were two separate compartments ! a simple filter system in the rinsing and solution compartments would be very useful, effective and a novel advancement w/ great marketing appeal ! i am not an industrial designer but you no doubt could get one to whip it up , have it made !
Exactly, I love seeing her dinner plans, various hauls, make up info and sharing this or that. Almost feels like you're sitting in the kitchen with a nice friend, doesn't it? Well done, Donna. :-)
It take so long to dry because the mop head holds the water that part of the magic in the fibers ! i like that about it, if my floor get a little paw mark i can just wipe it a way with out having to get everything out! thank you God Blesss
Thrifttastticmom1: I had a situation today in which my current twist mop failed. You've convinced me to upgrade to the O-Cedar mop. No one could have ever told that I would purchase a $30 mop/bucket system; but thanks to your review and Jamie's tip -- I will be going to Aldi's tomorrow to purchase this mop and save $10 bucks, too. Thank you both.
I'm not sure, I've never heard of the other mop. If its cheaper the quality may be cheaper. You might want to do some reviews on it. I'm still using my spin mop and we are using one at our church, it works great. Sorry but that's about all I can tell you.
I purchased the easy wring, use it 8 maybe 9 times and the handle broke. How can I get a replacement handle. Not the handle on the bucket but the actual mop pole?
It has a arrow on top of the mop, are you pointing the mop straight out on the corner with the arrow on it. It shows you which way to use it. I have noticed it will flip up more if you push the mop to far out away from you so I make shorter strokes with it so it want pop up.
Hiya hun Has it got a separate compartment for the dirty water to go in when u spin the mop because if it ain't then all your doing it using dirty water to clean the floors over and over again that's why I like using my steam mop
Its says the mop should be replaced every 3 months. BUt since you can wash would that be really necessary, i guess depends on how much you use it. Like a regular fixed mop, you dont replace every 3 months. At least i dont
I do see perhaps a flaw, before you even started. The spinner looks like it isnt deep enough, i noticed strings hanging out. SO that will be kind of a mess when you spin it
There should be a scratch patch or something in the middle. THe middle now is clear and i as i saw you mob, looks like the plastic is just hitting the ground
Fran DeGroat I think its 10 times before washing it. I'm still using the same mop head and I've had it a long time now. I just wash my mop head when it needs it and it is still in good shape.
I dont think so, its plastic so it would leak if put wheels on it. it's really not heavy at all. I just put a little bit of water so it dont get to heavy.
Awesome video! I clean offices at night and this would be perfect for me. Thank you for the review:) I'm sold! Just a thought, maybe a little w9-40 would help that joint thingy to not get stuck. :)
Awesome Donna, for the next time can you review the last Death Grips album Year of the Snitch? I think is pretty strong but I have mixed feelings comparing it to their early releases
mine is doing that. Almost like it will freeze up. you can take it apart and lube the gears but mine still has an awfulsqueak and catches, will try a squirt of lube where the mop head goes.
+Thriftasticmom What I meant to say is, does the water have to be changed for clean water for rinsing? Also, what kind of cleaning detergent do you use? Thanks for any info.
+philanna38 I guess you could if the water gets to dirty for you but most most of the time I don't. I usually just use my ajax detergent if the floor isn't to bad. If the floor is really dirty I will add a little bleach.
i just realized how much I'm becoming an adult looking for the best mop for my my household.
Lol, yes that happens!
Thrifttastticmom thank you lots !! & happy belated mothers day !
Awe, thanks sweetie!

Lol yes!!!!
I bought this mop a few days ago and omg! I love it!!! I love that it does not drip water all over the place! It has literally saved me time/ saved my back!
I'm glad you like it! I still love mine.
I'm SO jealous!! Mine turns my kitchen into a swimming pool!!!! What is the secret???
Great review! If you straighten it before you put it in the bucket, while it’s still on the floor, you can use your foot to step on it while you straighten the handle. 💜
Thank you for such an awesome review. At first I though, who's talking about a dang mop for 14 minutes, but then I watched the whole video! Thanks again.
Well I'm glad you watched! lol Your welcome!!!
To be more sanitary just use your sink or another bucket for the soapy/cleaning solution water and then use the spin bucket for your rinsing water.
Best review on TH-cam. You actually show how to use it instead of wasting time. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this review! Very helpful. Sent my husband to buy one for our home. (Definitely helpful to know that the head of the mop can be washed.)
Yes it is! I hope you like it!
You are too sweet for words and I appreciate your honesty and the cute way about you. Thank you.
Nana Papa Thanks hun, I do try to be true to who I am.
Oh ThriftasticMom, I can't thank you enough. I too bought this mop because my Walmart was out of the Hurricane Mop. I wasn't sure how to use it and your video helped me sooo much. Don Beltran yes that's what I started doing. thanks so much!
Thank you Trish!
I can’t believe I just watched a 14 minute video about a mop! Lol. Thanks for the review. I think I want to buy it now. Love your accent too . Reminded me of Truvy in Steel Magnolias.

I’m thankful for this review. Thanks ! Your review helped me decide on whether to buy this mop . I got it and totally love it , only wish I'd have bought it sooner .
+rickdsr Im glad you like it! I still love mine, it makes mopping so much easier and I hate to mop! lol
rickdsr
You need to write commercials!
I use two buckets; one for clean water, one for dirty water which is what the spinning device is for.
I have this mop, and so far I'm happy with it. I like the price difference from the Hurricane, and you are right, I hate having to adjust the joint as well. The mustard got jealous - LOVE THIS VIDEO, it's informative, well done, and hilarious! Great video!
Thanks. lol
I love this mop I use viniger and faboloso with hot water after moping water comes out brown mother of 2 love it!
Just bought this at Walmart today, watching your video before i get started. Thanks for the demo!!!
I love mines. Cleans up good and fits in tight corners. And is light not heavy.
I have one too and i love mine. I have laminate flooring that can't get too wet so I love being able to spin out all the water. It's perfect. I mop way more often now that I have this. Great Review. Just one question ? How easy is the mop to change out to a new mop head ?
They simply snap on and off
Thank you so much for your review. Do you have any reviews for steam mops or do you recommend any? Thank you so much again.
I can't recommend a steam mop because I've never had one. I have been thinking of getting me one though. Sorry I can't help.

Don't really know, I just poured some in.
Good to know cheaper than hurricane. What about any Canadian review?! I goodled the o cedar spin mop. In walmart. What comes up is the Vileda Brand. And costs same as Hurricane.
Steam mops are the best , as they're 99.9% more hygienic. Steam shifts Ecoli, & other nasty bacteria causing illnesses as well.
How well will do you think this would work on washing down walls?
Interesting idea! It would be good on satin to glossy finishes like bathrooms etc...I would spin the heck out of it and clean some walls. Better than by hand. Genius idea!
shower walls… brilliant
Thank you! My mop wasn't spinning right, so this video was super helpful.
I have such dirty floors i must rinse.
I will have to have a 2nd bucket to rinse then use the spinner
I've been considering getting one. Now since I've seen a real review, I definitely will.
I'm still using mine, years later.
Thank you for creating and posting this. I planned on going to Target to buy this and your video convinced me that this is good product.

I seen them on sale at sears for $ 19.99 but that was last year around the christmas holiday.
It will probably work out fine for you. I've never heard of that one.
Wonderful Review , I was so impressed I purchased one on Amazon.com ,can you remove the mop head and wash them in the washer and dryer? Thank You!!
Yes, Here is a link showing how to remove the head.

well clearly IF there were (and there could be ) two separate compartments and the cleaning fluid would be less contaminated IF there were two separate compartments ! a simple filter system in the rinsing and solution compartments would be very useful, effective and a novel advancement w/ great marketing appeal ! i am not an industrial designer but you no doubt could get one to whip it up , have it made !
Thanks! I just purchased mine from Walmart, too.
Me too last night. Was just aboit to opem it n go use it 😉
Thank you for your honest review. Am on my way to mop my floor!
Jane Jenkins Your welcome hun! I hope you like it, I love mine!!!
Do you still have and use this mop system, Donna?
Thank you so much for sharing your honest opinion. 🙏🏻😊
My pleasure 😊
Great review! Love seeing you! You are doing so many types of videos now & it is wonderful! Hugs! Also, looking lovely as always!
Exactly, I love seeing her dinner plans, various hauls, make up info and sharing this or that. Almost feels like you're sitting in the kitchen with a nice friend, doesn't it? Well done, Donna. :-)
Christy Terry Thanks Christy, I am enjoying making these videos from all of you, it is so much fun!!
Nana Papa Awe, thank you so much! Your comment made my day!!
*****
My o cedar mop brakes while drying at foot pedal two pails brakes the same place
Donna maybe they had some bleach in their water and that is why it came out so white. Great review and demonstration. Big Hugs Jo
Never seen bleah worjk that fast ;)
I just got this mop! I'm so excited. I appreciate all your tips!
Your welcome!
HOLY CRAP 29.99!!! They're 10.94 at Walmart here in Tennessee Does it stay wet at all? And the mustard probably just stainef it
This video is from a couple years ago when they first came out. The mustard actually came out and I used that head for quite a while.
It take so long to dry because the mop head holds the water that part of the magic in the fibers !
i like that about it, if my floor get a little paw mark i can just wipe it a way with out having to get everything out! thank you God Blesss
+Rita Thomson I spin mine out real good and put mine on my back porch and it dries out pretty quick.
Great review! I currently have the rubbermaid reveal, but if I decide to change I will keep this in mind. Thanks!
wenders86 Cool, glad you liked it!
Thanks for a real review.
Juliet0861 Your welcome!
Aldi has them for $19.99 this week
Jamie Farrell That's a great deal!!
Whats the difference between this mop and vileda spin mop as vileda is much cheaper than this ?plz reply soon as m going to buy this .
Pamila Roos I dont know, my friend tried to find one and she couldnt find one. I dont know why they dont make replacement handles.
I can’t get the telescoping pole to stay in place it keeps collapsing
Hmm, did you screw it to tighten it?
Awesome. Definitely a must have
Hola Donde lo puedo comprar aquí en Mexico
I like this mop but the thing I do not like is it constantly flips up while mopping any tips on that
It has a arrow on top of the mop, are you pointing the mop straight out on the corner with the arrow on it.
No
Impressive design, but wondering how soon it will break because its mechanical parts are plastic; not metal.
George Clark I've had mine since 2014 and it hasn't broke yet.
I bought one of these mops. I unfortunately threw away instructions and can not get handle to stay up. what is the trick
Vicky Edwards pull it up and twist it tight.
Hi. Do you like it and use after 5 years? How often do you change mops?
Yes, I still use it. I only change the mop head when it starts getting hard or to dirty
I guess adding proper water level does help
Yes, good review, and I am looking to buy this mop. Thank you.
Your welcome!
the thing i don’t understand about mops is that aren’t you just putting a dirty mop back into dirty water?
But I read that you only get 10 uses for a mop head ? I mop at least 3 times a week ! Do you have to throw away the mop head after 10uses ?
Fran DeGroat I think its 10 times before washing it. I'm still using the same mop head and I've had it a long time now. I just wash my mop head when it needs it and it is still in good shape.
Is there any way to put wheels on it? I can't imagine having to carry it across the whole house
I dont think so, its plastic so it would leak if put wheels on it. it's really not heavy at all. I just put a little bit of water so it dont get to heavy.
I wonder if your mop head would get cleaner if you had a bit more water in the bucket?
+Sandeleh Francis I doubt it because that mustard stains pretty bad.
+Thriftasticmom I think microfiber doesn't stain nearly as badly as cotton or nylon would. Not a big deal, really, I guess. Just "typing out loud." :)
Awesome video! I clean offices at night and this would be perfect for me. Thank you for the review:) I'm sold! Just a thought, maybe a little w9-40 would help that joint thingy to not get stuck. :)
You are so welcome! Happy Cleaning!!
what’s w9 40. you mean wd 40?
Thank you. Cause I had problems also
But now all good
Awesome Donna, for the next time can you review the last Death Grips album Year of the Snitch? I think is pretty strong but I have mixed feelings comparing it to their early releases
I'm sorry, I only do reviews on things i buy for myself and I don't even have a clue to what that is.
Afterr a while the spinning thingy where u step it gets stuck &ur not able to dry it up:/ how do u fix that??
I don't know I've never had mine do that.
+Thriftasticmom ok:( thanks for the reply tho
mine is doing that. Almost like it will freeze up. you can take it apart and lube the gears but mine still has an awfulsqueak and catches, will try a squirt of lube where the mop head goes.
How about rinsing the floor?
+philanna38 It works good!
Thrifttastticmom everyone needs to be careful mixing bleach with things m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6887638
I wonder how long that peddle will hold up though ?
M.J. C. I don't know but I've.had mine since 2014 and mine is still working great.
How do you get the handle to extend. My barely extend one level.
jewlf4 Just twist the handle.
About to buy this on Amazon. Thought I’d watch reviews on TH-cam first lol. Btw, lovin your accent. 😊
Lol, thank you!
My mop has clumped together and now they’re all stuck, has anyone dealt with this issue? If so, how did you fix it?
I have not had that problem before. Did you use something on your mop to clean with that might have done it?
I used a normal pledge floor cleaner
@@lindapham9336 hmm, did you try washing it? I've never heard of that.
Yes, but it didn’t do anything, so I returned it
