My daughter almost passed out 2 days ago at the studios. She was drinking plenty of water but it still wasn't enough. Be careful in this heat. ❤
My son did at MK beginning of June. We were on a VIP private tour and drinking lots ,breaks no rushing .we were in the LL for big thunder mountain and passed out .Fire dept paramedics came his blood pressure was dangerously low ,he is 12 years old.we got it up a bit and headed to first aid in a wheel chair.All things went well there,it was at the end of tour and they drove us back to hotel.
You have to get those electrolytes back. Salt, potassium and magnesium for sure. The heat is brutal. I’m a native Floridian and I can’t even take it! We don’t go to the parks until late October but the BEST month to go is January. Once you get through the 2 days of winter we have just put on a sweater and have fun. Crowds are super low.

As a Floridian, it’s not just drink water to hydrate you need to remember to eat, get electrolytes etc.

Tim isn't kidding about the heat. One year ago exactly I was there for a week. I lost a few years off my life standing in line at Gideon's for 30 minutes. It was deathly hot. Bring an umbrella to keep the sun off you if you have to go it really helps. For me never again in summer. Thanks for sweating for us Tim!
Look for a proper silver lined UV umbrella! I'm a Casper pale Aussie vampire and during our Summers I LOVE my UV umbrella! 😁

It's a gooseberry! I saw on another person's vlog, their gooseberry came with the green lantern-y leaves on it, but the people didn't know what it was either. They are very sour, so I have no idea why they added it to the fondue.

The “tomato” with the fondue is a golden berry! They’re so good (but I don’t think they’d be good dipped in chocolate either). They’re in the tomatillo family, so tomato adjacent. I buy my golden berries at Trader Joe’s. Highly recommend trying them not dipped in chocolate 😂
Agreed. I think they are also called Gooseberries. Very tart and a strange texture.....but good.
If you haven’t done so already, check out the Behind the Seeds tour at The Land. We just did it a week ago. It was so much fun and they gave us cucumbers to eat that were grown at The Land. 😋 P.S. Ask about Stanley, the plant.
Yes!! One of my favorite memories from my honeymoon back in 2018! My husband suggested it when we were there and I'm so glad he did.
Its also the only tour you can photograph and video! We loved it last year.

Hope you take alot of antacids before, during after. That milkshake really did you in. You should take a 24 hour antacid before you go to the festival.
tim is right. the heat is actually unbearable; especially from 2-5pm. I have to wear pants for my school dress code and have to walk (I practically sprint) between buildings just so I'm not exposed to the heat index and sun too much.😭

The Tomato wasn’t a Tomato. It was a Physalis ( cape gooseberry, goldenberry, or ground cherry) they are often put on desserts in restaurants.
Tim you should have taken a couple of minutes and blended the pickle shake before you drank it. Taking the time to stir the toppings down into the bottom lessens the briny flavoring.....
Make sure to bring your UV umbrella. Its crazy hot out there

Just to have some perspective on the price of the duck bun, the comparable thing would be the Peking Duck at Morimoto, I think it has about 7-8 servings and costs $72+tax

When we went to WDW last 2 weeks August 2019, think the temps were early to mid 30s but the ‘feels like’ temp was like 42. Very sweaty. Did April last time which was better but busy. And my husband wants to go back Aug ‘25. I think he forgot the heat 😂
I have to shout out the mariachi band in the Mexico pavilion, they were amazing. We went to Epcot for my friend’s birthday. Practically every cast member said happy birthday to him and the mariachi band brought up birthday guests to the stage to sing to them.
However, I feel you when you said it’s expensive for that tiny bao bun. Have you had the “fried dumplings” in the china pavilion? These are supposed to be a representation of my people, and what did I get? Two COLD green colored (for some odd reason) gyoza dumplings (which are Japanese) for $6!!! If you want real disappointment, order the dumpings.

The heat in Florida seems never ending. I went in September and it was way too hot. This year I’m going in October, I hope it will be a little cooler 😅
It’ll be around 85 during the day and 65 at night. So, definitely a little cooler. Not much though lol.

I know alcohol is a big part of these Food & Wine/Beerfest celebrations, but please be careful, alcohol is extremely dehydrating, especially in that Florida Heat. Drink plenty of water and “ sample “ alcohol like you would the food. 😎👍

$8 for that Duck seems high, but $8 for a small popcorn at the movies 😬 popcorn literally cost like 50c, and that’s for a large ! So what you’re actually paying for is the concession employees wages. The movie tickets go directly to Hollywood 🎥

We were at Epcot yesterday and it was so hot 🥵. We didn’t get to try any Food & Wine selections unfortunately.

Jen Spanish stores have homemade bread with cream cheese and jalapenos..I saw you love the pretzels with cheese and jalapenos.I live close to zocalo in Haines City they make homemade bread everday
Last time I went I only got the fry basket which I got last year too but I’m excited to try more on Friday but idk how much I’ll get to try as I won’t be there long but thankfully this is a long festival so I’ll be back at least once maybe twice before it ends
So peaking duck which is what the bao bun was is just expensive in general because of how they cook the duck. It’s very rare the a Chinese restaurant sells it even on the west coast
