- Come aboard the famous and historic Mohican with our Saratoga Spring Live Nation crew. The Mohican, the oldest continuously operated tour boat in America, was launched in 1908. Meet the Saratoga Live Nation VIP Guest Services gang as well as an assortment of wonderful people from all the other departments. Oh, and make sure to stick around to the end to see excellent surprise my pal Lucy and I received!

Great job!
Thanks so much, @jpw3910! Just subscribed to your channel as I see you're from the area and I can keep up on your concert clips! Love the Dave Matthews exodus from SPAC!
@@AdventureswithHayeski Dan it’s me Jay.
I suspected it was you, Jay! Thanks for letting me know!
What a fun time. Hayeski, you sure know how to party!
Haha! Thanks so much! We did have a great time, both on the job at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and on our end-of-season cruise. And thanks again for your support of the channel!
It’s always fun to “catch up” with you!
Thanks so much, Barb! Hope we get to catch up in person one of these days!
Did you know the Mohican ran aground in the 50’s or early 60’s. Had to evacuate it and bus people back to the village. It’s been on the lake since the 1800’s. Glad I found your channel. Fun video thanks
Oh wow! I didn't know that. I learned a little about its history from the Lake George Steamboat Company website. Funny how they left that part out, haha! (That accident may explain why the captain ignored us when we were waving up to him after I got the bright idea that it would be fun if he'd let me go up to help him steer! Perhaps they had granted that request to some other old guy back when the grounding occurred!!!)
@@AdventureswithHayeski It wasn’t publicized to a great degree. If I recall it was a charter group. Maybe your charter group hit a nerve 😂. It think early 60’s. I think it was before high school for me.
I’m not certain but it was originally steam powered. Then diesel. I know they put new Caterpillar diesels in it several years ago. I remember watching them crane them (or it) in. It’s a pretty cool boat. I always enjoyed sitting behind the stack on a sunny fall day and listening to the engines rumble on the full Lake tour. Not certain if they still offer that. Was 5 hours and well worth it.
It is a cool boat. But imagine how much cooler it would have been if the captain had let me steer!!! Thanks again for the info and for your support of the channel!
