One of the best swimming hole in the Catskill mountains.

30 years ago I had the blue hole to myself all day ... Riding my bike to the foot trail of Peekamoose Peak sometimes would pass 1 car ... The blue hole was less than 1 mile from the foot of my driveway was a dream....Have long time since moved to cleaner mountain streams ... .Still Living in My Dreams ~
To have been raised by nature and surrounded by her bounty and beauty every day must have been Heavenly!!!

Me and my family like to visit difeerent lakes and rivers during the summer and i can see how the locals feel about outsiders visiting this beautiful river but we are very clean people and we never leave trash behind. We truely respect the area. We just go with cooked food listen to some music and get in the water on hot days. Last weekend we visited Beltzville state park and we would love to visit Peekamoose this summer or next summer 2020..👍
Amazing! I just happen to live 2hrs away from this beautiful stream. We might have to make a trip this coming summer.
I want to thank you for this amazing video. You did a fantastic job catching the beauty of the Blue Hole! I really like this song you used for this. It makes want to get up and dance, definitely with a smile on my face (as I watch it ten time). I'm a NY lifer, so this area is only about 2 hours from me. My sister goes to the Finger Lakes every summer, maybe I can talk her to go next summer. Trip would be an hours from her house. I want to thank you again for sharing this. The reason I was brought to your channel was Google. It was in my feed, there's an article about Blue Hole and they used your video. I hope other people enjoy your video of this amazing hidden treasure. My back yard is literally The Niagar Falls. One of the water falls downtown there is higher than Niagara Falls. Very intersting! Were the drone was at :48 is super super deep but when you get further out is gets shallower

You need a permit now to go here since it was being destroyed by too many people.
yes and you need one for buttermilk falls also.... its calmed down a bit but for those who dont know.. in the beginning it was a mad house they had 15 cops there doing a check point... i go thru there to ashokan to woodstock.. i know other places to go just as nice but they ruined it.. no freedom there now except during the week..

How deep is it? Planning to go this weekend
its pretty deep it starts from standing reach for a average human to 20-30 feet but its pretty cold since the sun cant reach there so be prepared for that i went that on saturday but its definitely worth it and fun

@@dehribaissa3024 sorry it has been a while but it was supper clean,literally no one went inside the blue hole so yeah not that crowded but yeah very clean and atleast 20 people including like 2 pets
