I really like the fact that you do more video but please, rest, especially in the presence of God. don't put pressure on yourself (you already know it). God loves you xx
The maximum hydration method does work but you have to do it consistently to achieve 'max hydration'. There should be a video on YT from the woman who started it. Also, the excess mousse and gel caused the white flakes. Might have to use a cotton t-shirt to remove the excess. You can also band your hair with satin scrunchies instead of the pineapple method.
I hated wetline for the same reason the clear one always flakes and is so drying but they have a blue wetline which in my opinion is 10x more moisturizing and no flakes ❤love the content
Shrinkage will always be worse when you air dry.. for more elongation it’s best to diffuse starting from the roots going down & don’t scrunch or sit under a dryer…
So pretty! I love pairing the Taliah Wajid Curly Cream with the Doux Big Poppa Gel. To me, the mousse and gel combo can be drying so pairing a cream with the gel is much better
This wash and go is perfect. I believe that maximum hydration method helped immensely. Btw, the quality of your camera and the lighting makes this video flawless.
Type 4 hair can curl we just never had products. Remember we were ignored and all the black hair care we had was mostly geared toward changing/straightening … also it would be nice for natural 4 girls to investigate this notion that popped up: most of the time type 4 girls blame our shrinkage and tight texture on why a product doesnt work. Thats true to an extent because if its not made for us or give us the hold we need yeah our hair will reject it but has anyone noticed that sometimes its the product? Like i went thru my normal moisturizing method , using a method that helped my hair n i used one leave in product on my hair and it made it so dry and shrink up. Like yes type hair 4 shrinks but i realized that a bad product can make it shrink more cause it to ball up. Shrinkage isnt bad it comes with territory of tighter curls but i wish the light would be shined more on how theres some dangerous products out there that are causing some of the shrinkage… or the lack of definition. I want there to be less blame on our texture. Yes it is curly, kinky n coiled… but i have literally put things in my hair that would reverse years of moisture maintenance in one day. And i feel like type 4 hair runs into these products more often then other textures. Its like there are products out there that are “ lemons “. N i feel bad for type 4 girls starting out because who reach for certain things and are dealing with unmanageable hair but i know we internalize it thinking its our hair type . Im not saying everyones 4 hair will be curly and defined … but i have very tight curls n ive seen some beautiful tiny curls like yours out there … we dont have enough products out there. They keep saying 4 hair dry , i dont think so entirely i think our hair is SENSITIVE … theres some products out there that ive put on my hair and it wasnt just drying it was like my hair reacted to it negatively . I know influencers do say “ my hair didnt like this but it may work for you” … but theres a phenomenon in some if these products that my hair isnt just shrinking its reacting an example? As I am classic leave in … i know its highly acclaimed i used it years ago n my hair loved it … i recent went back to using it … i dont know what they changed in ingredients but may hair reacted terribly !!! Another one was shea moisture reconstructing oil … my hair was balling up!!! Both brands have good products but theres some products out there that have some sort of ingredient that can cause type 4 hair to ball up … i think the reconstructing oil it was issue with protein and i think with leave in condish i think its the citric acid … i guess what im getting at is i believe there are key ingredients that can cause shrinkage i hope one day that can investigate that more … i think about it cause type 4 hair is a curl pattern but the hair industry doesnt invest in understanding how to bring it out … i appreciate your video its shiney n i will try this method with the doux
This is such a wonderful and well thought out comment. I think it aptly captures what most of us think. Please do you think you could share with me products you've used on your hair that work. I'm especially struggling to find a good deep conditioner, nothing seems to be working for me
That wetline extreme never miss! I prefer the blue 1, slightly less hold, more moisturizing and less flaking. I always apply a leave in then the gel then mousse to set the curls
I love ur videos so much but I live somewhere that I don't have access to buy ur hair products so you've inspired me to make my own shampoo and hair oil ❤
you should try the banding method with satin scrunchies to stretch your wash n gos over night! you don’t have to do it every night, every 2 days should be fine but it’s up to you and your preference💕
you should invest in a hooded dryer! a good hood dryer is about $100-$250, which i use (mine was $150) and i love it! im able to sit under the dryer for an hour or so and then go to bed and diffuse in the morning - this has completely changed my drying routine and has made it much more relaxing and enjoyable after a long wash day❤
I think there was a study that came out a few years ago saying that it’s actually healthier to diffuse with our kind of hair because of how long it takes to air dry. The water pulling on the hair for that long can apparently lead to breakage.
YEZ!! your hair is so GORGEOUS! Keep wearing wash & go's. I know the shrinkage is REAL. How about trying AUNT JACKIE'S DON'T SHRINK FLAXSEED ELONGATING CURLING GEL?! PLEASE! CAN U DO A VIDEO USING THAT ONE?!
I don't have the patience to air dry. I diffuse right after styling, and I don't get a lot of shrinking. I takes me about 20 mins to diffuse my hair. Try it, you may like it.
Your hair came out beautiful! I'm amazed you were able to go to bed with it being so wet w/out messing up the curls. (SN: You're making me wanna pull my Wetline gel back out 😄)
Hello I’m from Canada 🇨🇦. I would like to know when will you restock on those beautiful products of yours? So proud of you all the way over here. Your sis in Christ Sonya😊
Also I have a patch of hair where the texture is different. It won’t curl. So I give that patch some extra product and extra love. I tend to finger coil that patch and that helps me
There are MHM videos where they shorten the steps and decrease the time to let each product sit so maybe you can try that. Also, technically the MHM is a 7 day process if i remember correctly. Years ago I only did it 3 days in a row and got amazing results. My curls were so defined and elongated. No frizz in sight and i loved wash n go's. I'll try it again soon. I'm 8 weeks postpartum. I neglected my hair for weeks so it's hella dry. Currently about to prepoo, shampoo, deep cond., and style my hair in twists/braids to give it a break and tlc.
Absolutely Beautiful Mamita 🙌🏽🥰 I’m actually loving the CR Honey leave in with Wetline🙌🏽 I put the leave in on before I got out the shower and cover. Refresh with As I Am castor oil spray.👍🤗💋
I literally posted a short of this gel and also using the bee girl and wet line to redefine. Loved the results but GIRLIE, if you truly truly want 2 weeks plus of definition you gotta try the Eco slay Jello Shot Gel over top of the apogee provitamin leave in ( you can use an oil of your choice if you’d like, for better hold apply after you hair is dry) but the definition and hold I literally wore it curly for 1 weeks then stretched my roots and wore a stretched wash n go for week 2 until I washed it. Loved it
Maximum hydration method, definitely don’t every wash day or you’ll get hydration overload or gummy like hair for people who’ve over used UFD gel, but for keeping the hydration in hair I find that applying oil to my hair and a hair butter before I go in with my water based leave in and gel keeps my hair super moisturized under the gel after I sealed in the moisture from deep conditioning with my oils.
lol sorry I’m ranting but you know what people do after working a 10 hour shift lol just stimulated, but for definition I find that taking sections of your hair similar to the depth of your curl pattern makes for more definition. ( so the looser your curl the bigger the sections of hair you can get away with defining
Your hair looks great. I so have not found the right routine for my hair. Every time I start to get a routine that is working, my life gets disrupted for a while. There after my hair would become damaged. I then have to start all over again. It gets discouraging.
But why was the 🍍cute though?! Id totally rock that puff! This wash n go turned out 💣! The curls were POPPIN! Also, do you remember what lip gloss you were wearing towards the end of the video in the yellow sweater? Please share if you remember!
Your hair looks amazing, makeup on point! 😍 Will you be continuing with the max hydration method for your hair washes or tweak it with shampoo and keep the clay part? ❤
I've known about this combination for a while but don't get too happy . the flaking is crazy . if you come up with a trick to prevent the flaking please, please let us know.
I think it looks good just like that! It doesn't have to be 'longer'... it's okay if it were 'shorter', it looks nice, neat, VERY defined and shiny. I'm glad you admitted that your NOT 4C but instead probably 4A with some _B_ included. Everyone needs to announce their 'Curl Pattern' so that Sisters looking for THEIR hair products, methods & styles can watch those with the same patterns as themselves. I have some 4C (especially in my patches of 'Gray') but I'm pretty sure now that I also have either A or B up there because my pattern in the front looks like yours (Imagine my surprise!) It shouldn't be just DAMAGE but who knows? I need to keep researching it out. I have some issues that you don't have but I appreciated these last two videos of yours. Be blessed.
Thank you for your comment! I’ve never said that I have 4c. I’ve always said that I have had type 4, but just never specified which type. Hope that clarifies
@@britttanyrose Well then I'm glad you 'specified' in this video because there are a lot of 4C Sisters who are (and were) trying to make their hair look like 4A or B hair and are typically confused when it doesn't work. This 'journey' is about ALL 4s but let us not forget that 'first & foremost' it was about 4C or 4Z hair types. Be blessed.
Have you tried Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey Sculpting Custard, Natural Styling Cream Plus Moisture, For Curl, Wave, & Coil Definition for Natural or Relaxed Type 4 hair? It works like a charm for me. Gives a nice hold and smells great. My wash and go last for 2 weeks even with me working out. Give it a try.
I just wanna say thank you ive been watching your videos and you inspired me to not be scared to make my own original hair and body products and not taking the easy way im so excited for this next chapter and doing more research for my business 🫶🏽🫶🏽
I have one section in the front right that just wants to be type 2 so bad and the rest is mostly type 3 and then the back left and right sections want to be 3a too. I have so much trouble getting the front to stay defined. Its so annoying and looks damaged compared to the rest. As soon as i sleep on it, the front is flat...Does anyone have any recommendations?

How to prevent mold in the butter?

Do you do the gel before or after the curly cream? I love the African pride cream gel but wasn’t sure if gel should’ve went on top or beforehand
@@laviinatty I do the gel after the cream to get a better hold!
Do they mix well?? No white?
@@FROMSHWITHLOVE they do! No white for me. Use small amount of cream, just enough to moisturize

To make the clay wash take less time you could make it more watery and put it in an applicator bottle. I think it'll work well still
Your hair looks wayy more defined! Huge improvement ❤
This gives me hope to try a wash and go again because mines never turn out right. Great video ❤️
I always wanted to do a wash and go.I didn't know how about doing it! Thank you for sharing I will try it out.
