I love Tabarome. A little weak maybe, but so subtly understated. Like a clever joke that brings back vestigial chuckles long after you first hear it, you still remember it after the smell goes away.
Bois du Portugal is a very underrated absolutely beautiful scent, to my nose it is a niche version of classic Pierre Cardin with premium ingredients and i love Pierre Cardin.
You changed my mind about Green Irish Tweed: I too felt it is too close to Cool Water but I did not realize the complexity of it and dismissed it. After watching the video I decided to try, it is great like you said!!!
Own Bois du Portugal and Aventus. The latter is much more crowd pleasing but Bois du Portugal is truly something special. Have worn it maybe 10 times and it does gets compliments, usually from the older crowd. Don't see it as old man, I see it as rich man - not too dissimilar from Polo green. Ideally I like the 'sexy' barbershop fragrances...with Platinum Egoiste being my favorite. PE checks the class box but also attracts women like blood attracts sharks. Although PE's latest formulation doesn't seem as pungent. Still, am thinking of going with GIT to compliment that, as I can't in good faith spend $300 now for even the smallest bottle of Aventus.
First video of your videos that I've watched. Nice, very nice. Thoughtful, informative, and you walk to the beat of your own drummer, all with smart humor. WINNING! Thanks!
Thanks for another great video :-) Love my Creed, but will never pay normal store prices. Always find the best prices on internet. Many good prices in Germany and Nederland.
I got a sample of BdP and at work I first got the response, smells 'feminine' but very nice. And that it was unique. Then another person went on about how he remembers his grandma used to wear an expensive perfume that smelled like this, with one of those fancy bulb things. Oh boy.
Royal Mayfair smells nice and is incredibly unique, just not something I could see myself wearing at age 23. Royal Oud is my signature scent, the best Creed has ever made (even if not the most unique). Portugal’s target age is deceased.
great video. in my opinion Pineapple Vintage Intense is the best Event is clone so far thus making it no need to buy Aventus anymore when you take in the consideration of Aventus' price and batch inconsistencies.
MrSmelly1977: MrSmelly, Canadian sub here..... As I said before, there's nothing more commanding than a proper Brit accent! I'm so very thankful to you for the Bois du Portugal recommendation.... Got a sample from a place called Holt Renfrew here in Canada and just bought a full 120ml bottle... On a side note, if you wanna be blown away by a phenomenal upscale G.I.T frag (believe it or not- brother you've gotta gotta gotta get a sample or somehow try out RAIN from the House of Royal Crown.... It should be readily accessible in the U.K from what I've researched! Project all you want Mr.!👍
I bought a bunch of samples of Creed fragrances off eBay in 2001. Bois de Portugal was one of them. Everyone said I smelled like an old man. GIT is my number one. Thousands of compliments since then. I can't wear it without getting complimented.
Excellent video, well done. Green Irish Tweed is my favorite of the Creeds that I've sampled. I put it above Aventus which did not perform well on my skin. Based on your videos the next one I want to check out is Bois du Portugal. Thanks
Timothy John I did the same thing! I wanted to buy a flacon of Aventus and BDP at the same time so I only had to pay shipping from France to the US once but BDP was out of stock for weeks. I did get one once they were available again. Flacons are the way to go though. The price per ml is just so much better.
Gabriel Gallawa I think it's one of the if not the best barbershop frags out there.. on a side note just got a sample of MDCI Incasion Barbare.. based on first wearing yesterday, it's okay.
I just discovered Creed and I can't get over how good Aventus smells. Himalaya is my second favorite followed by Irish Tweed (Only 1 spray at most). I don't like Spice and Wood at all.
Aqua originale , vetiver geranium is amazing for summer , it's actually better than GIT mate and coming from me that's a Statement, it's elegant a f very classy
MrSmelly fantastic video, i,m very bias, big on Creed our No 1 are same ole blue eyes absolute distinguished fragrance and yes some people say its for older gent ...... I can 100% accept that - Royal Water - Royal Mayfair - Aventus - Royal Oud - Bois De Portugal. ........ subscribed
Just started “collecting” but I can’t wait to own Aventus. I mean if I were collecting basketball sneakers I wouldn’t not get Air Jordan’s, gotta have Aventus
No Love for Virgin Island Water, that is My Favourite I Love the Coconut and Lime. I do think Creed is Overpriced though and they don’t project for long enough considering the cost IMO of course 😋
I have all of these except GIT. It's a great list. I have Rasasi Egra and Armaf Tres Nuit. Both are great and supposedly GIT clones so I probably won't drop the coin for the real deal. I'd really like to put Himalaya to the test also.
Creed has been hyped beyond imagination lately. I own three of their offerings (Aventus, Original Vetiver and SMW) which are of course really good cause it's not your average fragrance house. The ingredients are top quality and they're well blended. But still, they weren't really deserving the price tag put on them and now with the size changes and price updates I think it's way too much. I won't be purchasing any more bottles (retail or discounted) unless I come across a really good deal. I know that the Creed is marketing as a status indicator rather than a fragrance yet as a fragrance lover I couldn't care less about how a brand market themselves other than finding it funny. Coming from hundreds of years of background? If you are sincere with what you're doing, taking your service seriously and doing your best (which they should do, especially when that price tag comes in play, otherwise I'd feel insulted really) THAT IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO already. What else would one expect? The fragrances are really good, the presentation is on point and the company should go bankrupt in a couple of decades? Obviously not. So that's a no-brainer. I don't think a company "morally" has the right to exploit the fame came recently (cause they couldn't achieve this much of a fame no matter how they advertised and on what medium with these prices if it wasn't for the fragcomm) no matter how they present themselves or their products. Creed here has taken a ridiculous path. They were kind of more honest when they used to discontinue a product because they couldn't make it exactly the same way caused by the lack of raw materials or glitches with the producers of raw ingredients. It is funny they did that with many other, way sophisticated fragrances and not with Aventus (since to me the batch variations are embarrassment really, again considering the quality claim of the brand). Money, having a bestseller in your arsenal and such things are so sweet as they make you lose what ethics you have I guess. Now I really like Aventus but taking it as what it is, a fragrance; and weigh it in equal terms as with all the other fragrances I can confidently say it is pleasant, a crowd-pleaser, barely above average, barely unique, very versatile yes, but overall in terms of being a WOW arousing fragrance it is poorer than many Tom Ford Private Blends, Amouage offerings, or many other amazing creations of other houses. The bottle changes are to do with aviation travel restrictions, they claim. Then I'd ask what's up with the 75 ml bottles? Why would you chop them off and add pricing to each and every milliliters of the juice? Ah yes, and the price increase! They recently tweeted that the price increase is caused by the economical reasons. This is a silly and dishonest excuse as well. A company might face challenges in terms of obtaining raw materials and might have to go for a price increase yet a ~7% increase? Really? In all serious businesses as everyone knows there's something called "risk factor". And I think with the price range Creed falls into, this company was way above the risk factor, and would not be sinking any time soon. Of course if there's a meddle in the market caused by the current economical flow and you don't want to give up some of your "profit margin" at all, even for a certain period of time then you'd do exactly the same thing as Creed does. In conclusion I think what Creed does here is, losing it to the now came fame (thanks to the fragcomm and especially some of the hype-pumping reviewers out there) and the increasing sales. It's a shame, really... Sorry for the long comment. I just needed to put this out cause as a fragrance lover I find all these just too much sometimes (some houses as YSL destroying their already "almost average" offerings, the reformulated and weakened juices with each new bottle and/or packaging changes, and performance, even smell differences caused by different production places such as the difference between Oman and UK manufactures of Amouage). Especially with the companies with such bold claims: over the top, all natural, royal, regal, high-class, exclusive, yada yada... I mean, seriously! With all the money you charge with is it too hard to offer a standard product with serious service and quality? I guess it is. Anyways; I enjoyed your video as always. I think you have a great sense of humor and good taste. I personally think GIT and Bois du Portugal really deserved the top spot here. They are better representatives of what Creed is rather than MI, VIW and similar offerings. Love your beer taste, too! Thank you. Cheers!!
Thanks for the comment, you really seem to know your stuff! Disregarding price, what do you think are the top 4 or 5 fragrances out there for men, also not taking into account the fame of the brand?
bois du portugal is truly the best of the best, i don't like aventus though except if you layer it with virgin Island water, then the magic happens, nice list overall.
CDNIM I’ve been using it as an air freshener 😂😂 in my room seriously it’s too powerful to wear 3 sprays and it fills the room and down the goddamn hall. After having smelled Aventus clones just won’t do it for you people. If you want the Aventus feel without paying get a clone try them all see which you like the most but don’t try Aventus, once you do a clone just won’t do it for you
I'm an Original Vetiver fan and Green Irish Tweed. A buddy of mine uses Aventus and it smells good, but it's too strong in my opinion. Keep in mind, fellas...Creed colognes start at about $325 a bottle.
I bought a bottle of Bois du Portugal recently, having adored the sample I had of it. Have they reformulated it? The bottle I received performed incredibly badly when compared to my sample!
Nice list Dan. Love all of them except Royal Mayfair. I tried to like it but, it just wasn't for me. I would've thought that Neroli Sauvage would've made your top five. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a decant of Creed's Vetiver. The older one created in 1948. Surprisingly, it doesn't smell dated at all. With that being said, my top 5 Creeds would be (from 1 to 5), Aventus, Royal Water, Vetiver, Royal Oud, and Tabarome. I also excluded the Royal Exclusives and Original Aquas to make the playing field equal. Keep 'em coming Dan.
Rodrigo Fernández spice and wood is nice but it’s old school mature. It smells like it’s for a rich grandfather. Far too overpriced also. Aventus is liked more by the masses for a reason. Just cause it’s popular doesn’t make it any less great.
Love Royal Oud, Aventus andTamborone Bios de Portugal remind's me of Givenchy Gentlemen just a very light version. As for Aventus clone's CDNIM's ok but too leathery imo and Al Hararaim L'Adventure didn't impress me much either so i guess i'll stick to the Original. GIT is a very possible buy Cool Water just done better.
I'm getting ready to buy Creed Bois du Portugal. Huge Frank Sinatra fan here so that was a major selling point. My signature scent has been Creed Tabarome but you won't review it lol. Maybe because it was my first creed and I always got compliments from it. Lately I get 2nd most from Savage and GIT. My 2nd favorite was Gucci Envy but it's gone =(....I'm hoping that Creed Bois Du Portugal will be as good as En
I got Bois du Portugal Yesterday and I must say im a lil dissapointed :( I get nothing of the "New York Intense" similaritys but I get the Lalique pour Homme edp vibes but I have to say The Lalique is just better in every regard! Longevity and Projection of the Lalique on me is borderline beastmode and the mild sweet vanillig drydown is worlds better than bois du Portugal and we don't have to talk about prices 😁
I thought royal mayfair had a gold cap? mine does. I sold my royal oud, time for a new bottle. After smelling Raghba for men, I dont feel the need to waste money on GIT. I still need to check out bois du Portugal.
Martyn exactly!...i keep saying the same thing..something about it has that same feel, in a completely different way...maybe even a little better though
If that the case I will never own a bottle of creed, bought dunhill icon and have to get rid of it immediately it was disgusting it smell like a old sour man
Good video. My personal Creed favorites: Millesime Imperiale (simply beautiful! Masterpiece floral!) Aventus (Awesome alpha male smell! :) Clone: Club de Nuit Intense by Armaf.... close.. especially the smokey side) Green Irish Tweed (Nice but ..... Clone: Tres Nuit by Armaf ............ in my humble opinion even BETTER than the Creed and much cheaper in price... lasts longer too) Royal Water (elegant masterpiece fresh citrus basil scent! Beautiful!) Erolfa (Nice! Smells like fresh sea air, but very light and doesn't last very long)
Honestly tho I been able to smell a lot of Creed’s now and I can see why someone might have Aventus nearer the bottom of their top list but for me it’s still probably number 1 or close to it. Any clone I’ve ever smelled don’t really match Aventus enough for me. Will never forget the first time I smelled it I was just like “what the fuck?” I was blown away couldn’t believe what I was smelling. I do love pineapple though always have
Also MI 🤷♂️ I’ve tried it numerous times now and I just don’t get it. Can hardly smell it and what I can smell it just doesn’t do it for me everyone else seems to go crazy for it 🤷♂️ I just don’t get it 🤷♂️
GIT is so unimpressive to me. Not worth the money. Smells like it's worth about $10 per bottle.Royal Oud smells like wood and wood only. Would not pay for a bottle. Aventus like-Pineapple Vintage Intense and CDNIM are awesome scents. I dont call them copies, they are great pineapple scents!

Silver Mountain Water is my favourite Creed. Doesn't get nearly as much love in the fragrance community as it deserves.
It smells bad
I first rejected Royal Mayfair but after gaining more experience after a year, I revisited it and now is one of the most interesting Creeds for me.
"Green Irish Tweed, the smell of a walk in the Irish countryside.... Without the terrorist checkpoint... Or the drunken irish farmer" LMAO😂😂
damn, but i want a little gunpowder in my smell goods!
Himalaya has grown on me recently. The fresh musky dry down is beautiful.
HEY I LOVE THAT ONE AND USE IT-- IM A 60 YEAR OLD WOMAN
I love Tabarome. A little weak maybe, but so subtly understated. Like a clever joke that brings back vestigial chuckles long after you first hear it, you still remember it after the smell goes away.
Git is truly timeless. It never gets old (for me anyways).
I just blind bought an Aventus and I am very excited!
Bois du Portugal is a very underrated absolutely beautiful scent, to my nose it is a niche version of classic Pierre Cardin with premium ingredients and i love Pierre Cardin.
I bought a bottle of Green Irish Tweed few yrs ago and it is one of my all time favs.
Bois du Portugal is a fantastic fragrance. I like it as much as Adventus. They're much more masculine, bold, and mature than the rest in my opinion.
creed royal water. 10/10 for spring summer
You changed my mind about Green Irish Tweed: I too felt it is too close to Cool Water but I did not realize the complexity of it and dismissed it. After watching the video I decided to try, it is great like you said!!!
I don't think it smells like Cool Water one bit lol. Cool Water isn't nearly as masculine as GIT
Own Bois du Portugal and Aventus. The latter is much more crowd pleasing but Bois du Portugal is truly something special. I agree with your top 1 and 2 timeless classic masterpiece. That stood the test of time.
It cost me a tad, but thanks to Aventus i lost my V card
As you'll learn, there are no free lunches, even when your lunch is day old fish tacos, you still have to pay.
i hope you found it
YES!!!!!!! BOIS Du Portugal....LOVE IT....that BARBERSHOP smell in the Base Notes is PHENOMENAL !!!
My Favorite too!
I got a sample of BdP and at work I first got the response, smells 'feminine' but very nice. And that it was unique. Then another person went on about how he remembers his grandma used to wear an expensive perfume that smelled like this, with one of those fancy bulb things.
Oh boy.
Get a better group of friends.
club nuit intense is my favorite fragrance right now even like the opening
Royal Mayfair smells nice and is incredibly unique, just not something I could see myself wearing at age 23. Royal Oud is my signature scent, the best Creed has ever made (even if not the most unique). Portugal’s target age is deceased.
LMAO! Excellent joke.
1. Spice and Wood
2. Green Irish Tweed
3. Royal Oud
4. Santal
great video. in my opinion Pineapple Vintage Intense is the best Event is clone so far thus making it no need to buy Aventus anymore when you take in the consideration of Aventus' price and batch inconsistencies.
Thanks Champ. Wearing Pineapple Vintage Intense today actually! Very nice .
Nice list
1- RO
2- GIT
3- Spice and Wood
4- BdP
5- Windsor
Honorable mention is Aventus.
You need your own show. You’re a modern day Tony Wilson! Very funny wit.
Pls do a top 10 beer list ..
Maybe that I can afford 😂
Thanks Hemanth maybe I will!

Agree the crowd pleaser factor of GIT is way better than Bois du P.

I bought a flacon of BdP.. so glad I did.. apparently the falcons of this stuff fly off he shelves.. I love this stuff. Great list, you're the best!

Dolce & Gabbana for men got me on the scoreboard back in the day.

It came in a near black bottle, but deep purple if held up to the light
Great list Dan. Ever tried Lalique pour homme(Lion one)?. It has lots of similarities to Bois du Portugal.
Just started “collecting” but I can’t wait to own Aventus. I mean if I were collecting basketball sneakers I wouldn’t not get Air Jordan’s, gotta have Aventus
No Love for Virgin Island Water, that is My Favourite I Love the Coconut and Lime.
I do think Creed is Overpriced though and they don’t project for long enough considering the cost
IMO of course 😋
My top 3:
1. Tabarome
2. Royal Mayfair
3. Royal Oud
I have all of these except GIT. It's a great list. I have Rasasi Egra and Armaf Tres Nuit. Both are great and supposedly GIT clones so I probably won't drop the coin for the real deal. I'd really like to put Himalaya to the test also.

Markafa Creative Solutions I didn't read whole thing but I gave you thumbs up bc of its length
Well Done 😊
bois du portugal is truly the best of the best, i don't like aventus though except if you layer it with virgin Island water, then the magic happens, nice list overall.
Yesss....Bois Du Portugal. Absolutely love it.
Royal mayfair is really a hidden gem! Hey mr. Smelly do u know why u got a silver cap and i have a plastic yellow gold one?
CDNIM I’ve been using it as an air freshener 😂😂 in my room seriously it’s too powerful to wear 3 sprays and it fills the room and down the goddamn hall. 3 BDP
I'm an Original Vetiver fan and Green Irish Tweed. A buddy of mine uses Aventus and it smells good, but it's too strong in my opinion. Keep in mind, fellas...Creed colognes start at about $325 a bottle.
You should move to France. Irish tweed and original vetiver costs 165eur there :)
GOT for me and I also enjoy Himalaya. Thanks for sharing
Thanks James! Great list. Neroli Sauvage is be brilliant and would be number 6 in the list. Just maybe a bit subtle in performance.
MrSmelly1977 I agree. Neroli Sauvage is a little on the subtle side.
Spice and wood and Tabarome millesime are my favorites. Aventus is for the masses.
We have completely different tastes in fragrances but nonetheless you're still one of my fave reviewers lol. Always enjoy the humour and content
Thanks very much Chinensis.
hahaha @ intro ... excellent humor and vid!
Good to see you are on the Brewdog Punk IPA! Respect. Have you tried any of the Penhaligons? Haven't seen any on your vids
I'm getting ready to buy Creed Bois du Portugal. Huge Frank Sinatra fan here so that was a major selling point. My signature scent has been Creed Tabarome but you won't review it lol. "..I was young" hahahahah!
Ur a smooth criminal mr. Smelly!
Love your videos brilliant expansion you do absolutely excellent 👌
I got Bois du Portugal Yesterday and I must say im a lil dissapointed :( I get nothing of the "New York Intense" similaritys but I get the Lalique pour Homme edp vibes but I have to say The Lalique is just better in every regard! Nana’s bathroom is a compliment for sure.
I got BdP, GIT and Royal Mayfair. Seems like we have similar tastes! What should I get next?
Royal Oud. :)
I ended up getting Tabarome :p
is the older royal oud bottle different than the new one in terms of smell?
I need to work overtime at my work place in order to afford one of these juices 👍🏼👏🙏😂
Jim Damulira eh bro don’t need overtime u can get discount on FragranceNet.com 😂 😂 😂
Ive heard, correct me if im wrong that if you mix royal oud with aventus its smells great
Top 3 Creed in my opinion are Bois Du Portugal, Green Irish Tweed & Aventus
I thought royal mayfair had a gold cap? mine does.
I sold my royal oud, time for a new bottle.
After smelling Raghba for men, I dont feel the need to waste money on GIT. I still need to check out bois du Portugal.
Yes it should have a gold cap. I bought a tester with no cap but used an old Himalaya cap . Agree Raghba for Mennis very close.
Yeah that's what I thought after. Testers are key :-)
Except I see all these reviews saying Raghba doesn't last long or project like GIT and seems more synthetic.
Absolute Legend
Great list, Dan!
Royal oud is amazing !
Sure is.
Great video as always!!!
Nice list! How do you feel about Royal Water?
Thanks. I like Royal Water a lot as I have a 5ml sample which I've enjoyed using. Neroli Sauvage , R Water and Erolfa are all great fresh choices .
I got a big bottle I really enjoy it bright fresh classy non offensive
Nice hair! Love the little strands that are standing at attention front and center
To my nose Dunhill Icon has distinct similarities to Creed Aventus.
Martyn exactly!...i keep saying the same thing..something about it has that same feel, in a completely different way...maybe even a little better though
Yes I can see that. Especially in the opening.
If that the case I will never own a bottle of creed, bought dunhill icon and have to get rid of it immediately it was disgusting it smell like a old sour man
Good video.
My personal Creed favorites:
Millesime Imperiale (simply beautiful! Masterpiece floral!)
Aventus (Awesome alpha male smell! :) Clone: Club de Nuit Intense by Armaf.... close.. especially the smokey side)
Green Irish Tweed (Nice but ..... Clone: Tres Nuit by Armaf ............ in my humble opinion even BETTER than the Creed and much cheaper in price... lasts longer too)
Royal Water (elegant masterpiece fresh citrus basil scent! Beautiful!)
Erolfa (Nice! Smells like fresh sea air, but very light and doesn't last very long)
Ku Slapp tres nuit is an awful synthetic mess.
Erolfa stinks.
Hmm. Are yu at Claire’s place?
Great vid pal.
Green Valley to me at least is much better than GIT .
Spice and wood is Creed best one
Spice and wood rocks!!!... it is a projection monster but pricey : (
Much Success 🙌 God bless ❤️🙏
great video man
Creeds Neroli is a favorite.
Opening of vid is hilarious.
Royal oud and aventus for me
Bois Du Portugal, the scent of a man!
Exactly Larry!
My favourite also
Lolled at opening........ hahaha

You serious at the start of the video?? Because I don’t have any of that, better stock up on Aventus 😂😂
Can hardly smell it and what I can smell it just doesn’t do it for me everyone else seems to go crazy for it 🤷♂️ I just don’t get it 🤷♂️
Where's the lie though?
Bois du Portuga!!!! YES!!!
GIT=COOLWATER, I will NEVER BUY git again.
Tyrone norfleet Norfleet GIT is much more than the synthetic mess of Cool Water - it’s funny to me when people compare the two
I've gotten that same Grandma comment while wearing BDP haha
Ridiculous prices regardless of quality. Robbing bastards!
BUY THEM FROM FRAGRANCE X AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE AND THEY SHIP ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
His number one smells like his grandmothers’s bathroom. This niche thing is going too far.
Haven't you ever done a grandma in her bathroom?
Enjoy your content thanks for sharing, new subscriber.
GIT reminds me of the air freshener they spray at nasty truck stops
Nice truck stops you are visiting I think! Thanks for the comment it's all about personal taste.
You're right...if you want to be more attractive to women, you should have a huge bank account and a huge plonker !! LOL
Mark O'Cain you can always pretend to have a large bank account by wearing 2013 aventus. Lol
IPA
Lol.
