    The most complete and user-friendly tutorial I have ever watched about Etsy listing fees.
    So, you mean if I list 100 digital printables on Etsy will charge only .20 cents, not 100 × .20 cents until someone buys an item?

    Hello! Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I don't have any experience with Etsy and selling things online in general so I had some misconceptions about the fees and your video really cleared that up for me and gave me reassurance to proceed with my plan in starting an Etsy shop this year, so thanks a lot.
    I used to think that, if I list an item with quantity 100, I have to pay the $0,20 x 100 upfront and it really concerned me a lot as it'd really affect my tight budget. I'm SO glad I found your video and watched till the end, it makes me relieved to know that if I put a quantity of 100 (or really, as many as I want) I won't be charged $20 (or, more) immediately. I'm saying this a lot in this comment but thank you for such valuable video!

    Let's say there is a digital product you want to sell and offer it as a Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel form. Is it better to offer them two different items or is there an option off the one listing for them to choose between Sheets and Excel? Also, would you be charged $.40 since it's really two then? It was a great video also.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In this case I would just do an Excel sheet, which can be opened/used in Google Sheets. Even if you have multiple formats, you can upload them into one listing...or put many different products in one listing as a bundle. Then you would be charged $0.20 for the one listing.

    Why does no one show the activity statement. I don’t understand it. I sold something for $2. The buyer got charged $2.13 then next to it says balance .88 cents. Then above it , it shows fee .31 cents with balance of .57cents , fee of .13 cents with balance of .44 cents and tax fee of .13 cents with balance of .31 cents. Does that mean out of $2 I was left with .31 cents??

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, this video does show my Etsy statement. Mine doesn't have 'Balance' - it shows the name of each fee, and exactly what was taken out. It sounds like you might have listed a couple other items that pulled listing fees from your balance? The other fees of .31, .31 and .13 sound right. So out of $2.13, you would get $1.56. But if you started with only $0.88 after listing some other items, then you would be left with $0.31

    Thank you for the video. Someone told me that keep the quantity always 1 because of the payment. What do you think?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't understand why they would want to do it that way, but it's perfectly fine. If someone buys it, it will sell out, and then you'll have to manually restock it. The payment would be the same.

    Great video. I would sell digital photos for 19.99 euros. Is that an okay price? I didn't put it automatically, but I put it manually so that I can control it, because I think it's better than having your money taken without you knowing. I'm not sure how much to put. can you give me any suggestion. I have a total of 29 digital photos. I wouldn't want to spend more than I earn because then it doesn't make sense to me.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would research on Etsy how much other people are selling digital photos for. The price does seem kind of high, honestly, unless you're selling a bundle for that price. I saw a couple single photos, and they were about $4 each. Of course it's up to you, and if you can sell them that high, that's great!!

    Hi, do you know if I list a public domain picture on Etsy. What do I have to enter under "who made this?" ? Because if I put the original time it was painted Etsy assumes it's a vintage item. But as it's a digital download it's not really vintage is it?
