I think this is one of the first real pieces of music I learned on piano.

I listened to this and thought hmmm, real nice.. Then I played it again a few days later and found that it is a very compelling tune.. The same way the Yiruma - River Flows in You is compelling.. So I started to look around to find the sheet music and of course looked for other youtubes of it. It didn't take long to discover that this recording is an absolute benchmark performance.. This is the best of any I have heard by far. I hope to learn to play it as well as you someday.

Ha, I just noticed the similarity to the opening in the theme song of "Poldark"..
B m9 no7 rather than C m9 no7 arpeggiated down rather than up and down.

I don't know why I keep and keep listening to this music piece because probably its really touches my soul and heart it is beyond comprehensible explanation.

This is one of my favourite pieces. I only heard it played on guitar before but it's hauntingly beautiful on piano too. Thanks for the brilliantly simple explanations of music theory. I might just remember it now!

It is a CP33 :) And even though I really like the onboard piano sound, I'm actually using something called Virtual Grand Piano 2 by Ars Vista. I heard it once and just loved it.

Michael I could watch you and learn from you forever - but how I wish you had an accoustic piano!

Me too. Although acoustic pianos aren't great for apartment living. Maybe one day I'll have a beautiful grand :)

Hey Michael, what keyboard model are you using? how many octaves is it? how good is it with the dynamics? are you using it with a pedal?

is it a good starter keyboard? i currently own a midi keyboard 49 keys, but am looking to replace it. it's not of such good quality. and i sometimes miss the range.

I like the piano sound. It's like a very good upright or a small grand in a smaller room. Very natural to my uneducated ears anyway. Not a typical "massive, absolutely perfect concert grand" sound usually found as the #1 preset in digital pianos.

Seems like it's a Yamaha CP33. No wonder it sounded good. ;-)
