I've only just noticed your suggested scale to use. Previously I was playing over the chord changes. Do you think it's better for bassists to sit just on the Cm? Thanks again for making these. They are really helping with my learning of the fretboard and finding the note/chord.

It is very important to understand the chord changes and practice solo. I think the bassist should do this practice in particular.

@@geribass yeah I've just realised it meant chords within the scale of Cm. Thanks.

always outline the chords except for fills and solos, but be very brief on solos

    What's the Lydian 7th scale?

The scale with the melodic minor scale starting from the 4th note is called the Lydian b7th (flat seventh) scale. This scale is used for the dominant 7th chord, and functionally it seems that the chord is written as secondary or extended dominant, bVII7 as a subdominant minor, IV7 as a blues chord, or tension # 11th. Used at the time of the dominant 7th. The Lydian b7th scale can also be said to be a scale in which the fourth note of the Mixolydian scale is changed up by a semitone. (It can be said that the 7th note of the Lydian scale is changed to a semitone below.) There are no avoid notes on this scale.
