  • With the amount of aftermarket dirt bike parts available there are many ways we could overspend, or buy useless crap. It’s the bang for the buck upgrades that make the most sense so we can spend a little, but get a lot.

    The small parts I’ve decided to install are the ZRT Sherco Throttle Cam, the Switch Relocation Handlebar kit, the G-RIP Bar End, and the XC Gear Mako 360. The goal was to find some performance gains, but the story didn’t play out as expected. There were some avoidable mistakes made, and some learnings learned.
    If you’ve installed some obscure, small parts, but had massive upgrades, we want to know about them! Hit the comments with your performance parts and why you added them. Also, if you've screwed up installing parts before, we want those stories too!

    We love seeing the SingleTrak being used like we designed it for.

      It’s a great addition to the butt pack because it replaces a vast array of tools, and lightens the load!

    I can’t believe any manufacturer uses English bolts. To me the Mako360 is the most epic upgrade! Also, RK Tek head for altitude is a must for me!

      I've yet to try new heads on my bikes. I feel I have so many other things to work on; like staying upright 🤦🏻‍♂️.

    I just swapped my yz250fx throttle tube out for a g2 throttle cam. I needed to the cam to do the opposite and reduce the hit. Made all the difference.

    I’ve been I Colorado for a week. The xc gear bar mount is great. I added that for the trip. The 1/4 turn throttle cam is a should have done change as it would of help at higher altitudes imo

      I never thought about the 1/4 turn throttle cam for altitude. I like the way you think!

    Love the mako 360! Way better than my Fasst flex bars.

      What makes it "better"?

      @@SeatTime More motion. 360 degrees compared to just the back and forth/ upish and downish . Alway thought the Flexx bars were too much money, but still payed for them..sometimes I hate my money

    im glad sherco removed the power switch on later models. useless. good stuff!

      One day I'll upgrade and wish I had a power button, I'm sure. . .

  • @framelawncare6671
    @framelawncare6671 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thats an interesting power button. Is there a reason its a on/off style switch versus a temporary style switch? All of the bikes I have seen like my KTM and honda bikes have a temporary style off switch.

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, and I don't have a good answer. Sherco had this style On/Off buttons through 2018 (which is what I have). In 2019, we started seeing the on/off power buttons removed.

    Did you find it hard to get used to the ZRT cam?

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, I was looking for that quicker hit that I used to have with the stock Sherco Throttle Cam.

  • @mrmauco

    Have you done anything to your gearing ?

    • @SeatTime
      @SeatTime  ปีที่แล้ว

      For Colorado, where I want a bit more grunt, I went up one tooth in the rear to a 51. I should have gone up two teeth to a 52, but I didn't have time to order one. In Texas, I still run stock gearing for the 2018.
