Just a quick thought. I think Unruly Catapult is a better fit in this deck than Smoldering Egg. Even should you get Smoldering Egg out turn 3, and start casting instants and sorceries (i&s) right away, the Mana Value of the i&s in this deck is low (which is a good thing!). This means you need lots of casts to get the egg to flip, but Taii wants to dump lots of mana to do 1-2 big casts. Which slows down the egg, as it doesn't benefit from the mana used to activate Taii's ability. Catapult takes advantage of Taii's big mana sink by dealing lots of damage to each opponent and can proc multiple times per turn. Anyway, thanks for reading my two cents. Happy Deck Building!
That’s definitely a solid swap! Smoldering egg definitely takes a bit to turn on but the fact it’s targets anything is pretty solid I definitely see the argument for unruly catapult though! 😁

Might I ask for some tips on how to play this build? I"ve never played a storm deck before at all, but this commander looks fun.
For this list specifically, what kind of opening hand am I aiming for? What is the mindset for playing this?
Unfortunately, I've never played storm before because I just cannot wrap my head around the concept. Spamming spells to build up a storm count by itself makes sense, but the mana and card draw you need is creating a situation in my head where I just cannot see how it works out.
I have literally won cEDH games with Taii Wakeen....the potential is insane and im surprised it isn't played more
Gonna suggest Firesong and Sunspeaker as well as Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.
Firesong and Sunspeaker is good I agree. But most damage doublers and triplers are not worth too much real money for most and they don't work like you would want and 7 mana is expensive for a 2x the base damage of a spell or source.

Do doublers like illusionist bracers work on Taii? I thought her activated ability was a replacement effect
You don't put the bracers on Taii, you put them on Goblin Sharpshooter or anything else that taps to ping stuff
@@craigbradford9189 You can put them on Taii just fine. You get to double her activated ability which is a replacement effect. Put 5 into X? With the bracers it is now 10 extra damage.
You can double up on replacement effects. You get to choose the order.
@@jameelkurabi didn't say "can't" - you just net more damage by putting the bracers on a creature with a damage ability (assuming you have one to put them on). (X+Y)*2 is more than X+(Y*2)
@@craigbradford9189 so you put in on sharpshooter and say X from Taii is 5 you would do max 12 (6 damage on 2 triggers) damage per tap with your sharpshooter which is more damage over all alternatively on Taii 10 damage from double activation works for all sources though.
IDK I think both are situational. Though you could argue that if you snipe two creatures with the double Shooter triggers you can untap and re-tap between deaths and get that 6 damage even more times so in the long run its better BUT only really on sharpshooter or another pinger creature with Thornbite staff. So you are right if you have that creature or artifact its more damage over all.
don't forget costs reductions! the Ruby Medallion could be useful, as well as Cloud Key !
Toralf, God of Fury seems like it would be great in this deck if I may:
Activate Taii for say X = 5
Cast an "End the Festivities"
6 damage to each creature your opp's control and excess is dealt to those that survive or opp's faces
Example throwing this at lets say 6 total 1/1s a crossed 4 opp's means 60 damage (in six 10 damage triggers) to throw around at whatever you want and if those 10 damages sources deal damage in excess to remaining creatures you can stack them even higher with each time the excess damage gets +5 added to it from Taii lol

There is a red card that doubles noncombat damage.
lol there is a few Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is a expensive body that does double for Opps creatures, Angrath's Marauders also doubles also costs a lot (most doublers do), Curse of Bloodletting doubles it for one opp, Dictate of the Twin Gods and Furnace of Rath (probably what you were thinking) doubles it for everyone including you lol, Quest for Pure Flame allows you to sac it to do double until end of turn, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus is cheeky since you can get him indestructible and doubles, and there is triple damage in the form of Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, and Isengard Unleashed (those that it until end of turn but also makes its so damage can't be prevented).
Anyway lol a lot of these are expensive in real monies and I would only run a couple if any given how they interact with the damage +X damage amount interactions like Taii Wakeen, Perfect Shot second ability. It doesn't work the way you would want it to. It doubles then adds the extra damage from things that +X damage when a source you control deals damage.
So activate Taii for X= 5 bolt a creature while a damage double is out it will deal 11 damage and not 16
Bolt + Double + 5 from Taii
3x2+5= 11

It's definitely a mainly red deck. That's the nature of burn. The white gives you some utility options. Having the second color definitely helps with mainly protection, but also the path to exile/swords to plowshare generic removal. But in the end this is definitely a red deck with some minor white utility.
