- One of the best looking S2K's, ever. A car that can rock both the SEMA stage & streets of Long Beach. Very excited to see our friends at @EvasiveMotorsports continue to develop this S2000, and maybe, just maybe, Dai & Mike will agree to let me have a go with it somewhere. Haha.

The philosophy of working on grip and chassis work before adding power should be everyone’s philosophy. As a rookie driver I’m trying to do the same thing with my race cars. Great Video Jackie gotta love the S2K’s!
For sure, it's a philosophy we try to incorporate into all of ours and our teammate/customer's builds. The safe and reliable way to improve both the driver and the car.
@@JackieDing86 I am doing the same too. My car is only for Track days.... a Saab 9-5 with 280bhp and 440 Nm and a fair amount of weight reduction. All the work was done by myself and with this combo I try to improve my driving skills. That´s not a car for Time Attack but it let´s me improve on myself first. To build the next step in power i´ll need 5 grand... so it´s better to improve first and then add power. Even so I´ve reduced the home track lap time in more that 20 sec. in one year!

Work on power and reliability of the the powerplant and drivetrain first because those might add weight and change the f/r weight distribution, then tune the suspension, brakes, and aero to work with that weight, weight distribution and power delivery?
I saw those wheel covers and all I could think was someone saw what the GT2MR was doing and said those guys might be on to something lmfao.
I mean... It's Manthey Racing, you don't question them especially now that they're kinda Porsche OE haha

The mod list for this car is quite..... Pricey to say the least. Also, can't help but notice a small crowd gathering around TA90 near the end of the vid. Started with 2 bros checking it out, and then a small herd came by.
The finish quality in that car is crazy
I have an S2000. Completely stock. It’s glorious. I would never change a thing. But the chassis is so good that it’s a perfect base for a crazy build like this. A Supra or RX-7 could never live up to the unlimited nerd knowledge of Honda.
Well u can put a K20 or K24 in a Lotus Elise and have minus 300 kilos easily

@@faizalmohd9536 that's inaccurate. the suspension from wisefab is over 7k. Then you have coilovers which are $2k not including sway bars, bushings etc. Don't just be spoon fed. You don't wanna know how much that transmission costs

I can tell he doesn't enjoy that shifter setup too well or he is fairly fresh to the car. Seems like it rips though.
it was mentioned in the video that Dai had some problems with the shifting. And since this is the 1st time the car in a race, I guess Dai also wasn't that comfortable with the car yet. The downshifts sounded glorious tho.

Indeed this car is not in Street or StreetMod class, but rather it’s an Unlimited class build, hence the rather extreme approach hah

Almost sounds like a rotary...maybe just me?
It's the rotrex supercharger. Compressor housing whistle plus belt moving in time with the motor can sound a lot like a rotary haha. If you think about how a rotary moves (being one rotating motion) it kind of makes sense why the engine sound of a rotrex f20c can sound similar.
For a sequential transmission shifting is lazy
You K swapped your f20c even though there was nothing wrong with it.
So it doesn't matter what body kit you put on it because it would never be has good has it should have been with the oem mighty f20.
1. Saying K series isnt as good as F series is really pretty dumb…
2. IT IS STILL AN F SERIES, just built F Series…
