Beautiful and inspiring, thank you!
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you, Claire. I find the idea really exciting. Reminds me of Banksy.
You're welcome! Hope you enjoy trying out different methods to see what you like best
LOVE THESE so much, and happy to see you on TH-cam! THESE older photos, esp. blowing up to make somewhat ghostly... appeals to me deeply. one of our oldest churches burned out totally yesterday, a terrible tragedy in Toronto... want to use images of the 'shell' as an homage to our community. adding this 'narrative' element deeply appeals... not covered in our current CVP but I'm really leaning into this... as you were one of the favorite artists featured... so, THANK YOU so much for your beautiful work and inspiration.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. I'm fascinated with the layers of history in a city, and the cycles of life which it holds and I'm really enjoying making this series (I find it quite moving too). I'm sorry to hear about the fire in your city - I think making a series of paintings as a homage is a wonderful idea. Again, thank you for your lovely comment.
@@ClaireKennedyArt shared this one with our current CVP cohort.. hope that's ok!
@@carolmcbrideonline delighted for you to share - thank you!
So looking forward to the course, Claire. I had a go at home. I can see how it works, but will need the expertise from your up coming course to get it right. Thank you for posting.
Like everything, it just takes a bit of practice and trial and error to get a good photo transfer. Part of the charm of transfers is the slightly weathered, imperfect look. The course I'm working on (which will be available later in the year) will actually be demonstrating a different way to add photography to paintings, partly shown in my other video 'Planning and painting a mini mixed-media piece from beginning to end'. In these mini pieces, the photo element is applied digitally which gives a different, more 'perfect' and integrated look. Hope this helps!
I absolutely love these photo transfers! They are quite magical as they appear! As soon as I found you, yesterday, I watched all of your videos and signed up for your newsletter! I am new to painting and have been looking for something that says “me” and this might just be it! Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I’m so glad that you are enjoying the videos and I hope that you find them helpful. Thank you! 😊
Lovely bit of painting👍🏻🫡
thank you!
Fun choice of music! Looking forward to the tips!
My daughter thinks the music is a bit 'Disney princess' but there wasn't a huge choice in the software! Can I ask, did you sign up and not receive the 5 Top Tips email? It should be sent automatically (check in your junk mail too) There seems to be a bit of an inconsistency with the drop down box too which I am in touch with the web designer about. I'm really sorry if you didn't receive the email, I will rectify that as soon as possible.
No drop down box appeared on your site....?
Hi - I’m sorry about this and somebody else has mentioned this to me although it was working a couple of days ago. I will get touch with the web designer and get back to you. Apologies!
Hi there - hopefully the problem has now been restored - you can sign up by clicking this link: clairekennedyart.co.uk/ck-newsletter-2024/ Any problems let me know.
