How's the response to the "first touch of the pencil on the screen"? I mean, I have a xp-pen that requires a little bit of pressure to start the stroke, it's not like u touch the screen and instly you get a stroke as response, instead you need to put a little bit more of effort and 'force' the pen slightly to get a stroke.

I didn't try with Krita but I would think it is very likely you can find a Krita-user here on youtube reviewing it as well ^^ otherwise try google and see what the internet says ;w; thats my best bet right now ☺️
i used one of their graphic tablets (G640s) on pencil 2d (very niche 2d animation software). it worked like a charm there, on GIMP, on Blender, and on Krita. If one of their products work there, then for sure the rest should. Wouldn't make sense for some products to work and others not to. also, you could always return it if it doesn't do what you want it to.
This thing is currently only $200 (US)!!! I'm soooo tempted to get it because that's what I can afford right this second, and it has an eraser.... but because it's getting a bit outdated, I'm worried I'll be wasting 200 which I could put toward a newer, pricier and less parallaxing display tablet.... Gosh, this is a struggle! What is your personal opinion, since you have reviewed newer tablets since this video?
Omce I had reviewed this model I gave it to my husband because he wanted a display tablet. When I upgraded to the 15.6 Pro version I offered him to take over my old Cintiq, but he insists to use the Artist 12. It still runs great and he hasnt encountered anything odd since the review :3 but I dont actually know if they released a newer version if this specific one.
@@Nadiaxel Hmmm... He still uses it... well, that's encouraging! I'm worried about it saying it has 72% of the color gamut... like... is that gonna be awful for color matching? I wanted to save up for the Ipad Air with the Apple Pen (cheaper than pro), but it will be MONTHS before I can afford that, and I would really like to use a display tablet now. I'm still using my regular Huion, and it's okay but I never really did get quite used to looking elsewhere from where the pen is touching lol. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate that you reply to our questions in the comments!
You think? But it does have a matte screen though :) but I can only compare it to the iPad in regards to glass screen, because that was like drawing on a window without the matte screen protector. I haven't yet, ever heard of a display tablet that doesn't have the kind of surface as this one :)

I must admit, I didn't notice it being much different from my Wacom Cintiq. But I wasn't actively looking for this response either X)
@@Nadiaxel thanks for answer! I'm more a lineart-head and it makes total difference. On my IPad it recognizes the slightest single stroke, even w no pressure, just for resting the tip on the screen.
But a tablet is not a pc, I would like xp n huin with more precise stuff for soft handed people
Tiago Banguelo late but u can change the pressure curve to make it softer !!
Really both of the comments above are good suggestions
I keep getting recommended a cintiq but they’re so expensive and art isn’t really my job. So maybe I’ll go for this for my first tablet with screen.
I just ordered mine iiiii
What software do you recommend to a beginner?
I know they are not apples and apples but do you think it is better to go with this or the wacom intuos pro m? As they are on the same price range
hi i know im 3 years late to this video but i just wanted to know what app you used and how much it cost
Does this tablet work with Krita?
Does it react to the fingers or only to the pen?
Only to the pen :) but it has a touchbar that you can use for scrolling or zooming ^^
@@Nadiaxel thank you :D
Hi! Do you know if it would work with a free animation program like krita, thanks for the review btw 😊
I didn't try with Krita but I would think it is very likely you can find a Krita-user here on youtube reviewing it as well ^^ otherwise try google and see what the internet says ;w; thats my best bet right now ☺️
@@Nadiaxel Thank you so much!
i used one of their graphic tablets (G640s) on pencil 2d (very niche 2d animation software). it worked like a charm there, on GIMP, on Blender, and on Krita. If one of their products work there, then for sure the rest should. Wouldn't make sense for some products to work and others not to. also, you could always return it if it doesn't do what you want it to.
@@James-pb8xu Thank you!
Yes, it works in Krita. Also MediBang Paint Pro and Paint Tool SAI. Good luck!
What is the best digital art software to use for making a webcomic? I think I’m going to get one of these 🙂
npc.a1shi clipart studio!! How was the tablet?
Worth getting new for $115?
I really appreciate that you reply to our questions in the comments!
i was super exited for this too but the surface is too glassy for me D: and there isn't any matte screen for this D:
You think? But it does have a matte screen though :) but I can only compare it to the iPad in regards to glass screen, because that was like drawing on a window without the matte screen protector. I haven't yet, ever heard of a display tablet that doesn't have the kind of surface as this one :)
i'm sorry but i asked and they tell me they removed because someone complained about the overly rough surface D:
