A round will never be more then 30 seconds more likely way less cause he is ahead with Lucian 3, some fights are like 15 sec which mean one fight is like 45% chance to drop 1 gold. 20 mana per 5 second is in best case in 15 second only 3 bonus casts cause blue buff. which equals 1,5 gold 100%.
Lvl up means spending gold to get to 10 in spite of you being able to get more XP for your gold. High end means be lvl 9 and have lvl 10 shop. There has to be math saying at what XP threshold it's worth to take what if you intend to have a Jeff Bezos board, but I'd say thar at 4-2 that'd be very heavily skewed towards high end even if you were doing lvl 5 one cost reroll.

High end you don't have to invest the gold to level up to 9 to gain the benefit of a 9 shop, meaning it is easier to get 5 stars, I reckon.
Also for level up u need to buy exp from shop. He wants to use Lucian for exp instead so it’s a little worse
